"So you know, how like . . . In life there is this mysterious force that can't be described by science?" Heart told her two best friends.
Veronika and Stella stared at her.
"I guess? What exactly are you talking about though?" Veronika questioned.
"Well, I think that it might hate me or something."
"Why would you say that Heart?" Stella asked. "It's kind of hard to hate you, you know."
"Because my life is like," Heart made random motions with her hands.
"Messed up?" Veronika guessed, trying to translate the new sign language that had been created a second ago.
"Yes."
"Life has always been messed up," Stella stated.
"Yes, but my love like is even more messed up!"
The room got quiet. Heart could feel a growing pressure coming from her friends eyes. If she was not mistaken, she could have sworn that their eyes glowed with excitement and anticipation.

"Uh, yeah, no, yeah, you're right," she replied, her words tumbling out awkwardly as she forced a smile, trying to mask the sting of rejection that gnawed at her. "Never in a million years." A heavy silence settled over them, the weight of unspoken feelings pressing down like a thick fog. "Let's, uh... just pretend that never happened," Jungwon suggested, his voice barely above a whisper, as if saying it any louder might break them both. "Yeah," she murmured, her eyes fixed on the floor, refusing to meet his gaze. The smile she had forced was long gone, replaced by a tight-lipped expression that barely concealed her hurt. Jia swallowed hard, the lump in her throat making it difficult to speak. "I'm gonna head down. I'll see you later," she added, her voice wavering as she turned away, each step feeling heavier than the last as she left the room, the hurt she had tried to hide now simmering just beneath the surface. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ yang jungwon x oc bestfreinds to lovers longer summary inside highest ranks: #7 in jungwon @enhaheart ✧ ೃ༄*ੈ✩

Ha-rin stood in the dim light-bruised, bloodied, but breathing. Alive. They had been apart for days, ripped away from each other in the chaos. He had searched every building, every scream, every shadow hoping-praying-that she was still out there. Now she was. He didn't think. He ran. When they collided, it was desperate-arms locked tight, bodies trembling from everything they'd been through. She smelled like dust and smoke, her fingers digging into his back like she couldn't believe he was real. He pulled back just enough to see her face, to trace the dried blood, the dark circles, the exhaustion. But her eyes were still hers-still burning with that quiet fire he had fallen in love with. Without a word, he kissed her. It was a soft, broken thing at first. But then she leaned in, and everything they'd held back-the fear, the anger, the aching hope-spilled into it. They were still kissing when a voice cut through the heavy silence. "Okay, seriously?" Jiho stood at the door, arms crossed. "We're still in a nightmare, by the way." Jungwon pressed his forehead to Ha-rin's, a breath of laughter escaping. Not safe. Not yet. But together. ━━━━━━━━━━━━ yang jungwon x oc enemies to lovers STRANGER THINGS fic SLOW BURN enhypen x oc longer summary inside highest ranks: #1 leeheeseung #5 hybe #1 kimsunoo @enhaheart ✧ ೃ༄*ੈ✩

"You ever think about dying?" Riki asked suddenly, his voice softer now, almost tender. Ryu's heart skipped, but she didn't let it show. "Sometimes," she admitted. He nodded, as if her answer made sense, as if it was the only answer that could make sense. "It's not the dying that scares me," he said, flicking ash off the edge of the rooftop. "It's the not feeling anything before it happens." She didn't know what to say to that, so she said nothing. Instead, she watched him, the way his hair fell into his eyes, the way the silver of his necklace caught the last light of the setting sun. He looked like a boy trying to be a ghost, or maybe a ghost trying to be a boy. She couldn't tell which. Riki turned to her then, his gaze locking onto hers with a quiet intensity that made her chest tighten. "You know what the worst part is?" he said. "What?" "You remind me of me."
