I've reworked this story several times and even forgot about it for a while, but I decided to start writing it again - for a friend.
I also chose to write it in English, because in my opinion, stories just sound better in English.
Since English isn't a language I use every day, there might be some grammar mistakes here and there.

Not many people believe in the saying "You meet twice in life" or in the idea of having a soulmate.
I didn't believe it either - I thought it was just something people made up to hold on to hope.
To me, it always sounded absurd, because I had never met someone again.
And even if I did, it had to be pure coincidence.
But when I looked into those beautiful eyes... I hoped the saying was true.
