This was originally a school assignment where I had to use four poems as inspiration for a short story. The poems were Ode on Melancholy, In Praise of Creation, You Will Know When You Get There, and The Poplar Field. I took a few aspects, themes, and writing techniques from each of the poems and incorporated them into the short story. Ode on Melancholy had references to Greek mythology so I included some references as well.
