I wrote a short play, that was also recently performed, for a playwriting workshop. I enjoyed the performance so much, I thought I would share it with you all. It's in the format of a play script, so this will be a bit different to read than other things on here.

When students start fainting, and they don't wake up, Elizabeth and her friends want to know why. But theres more than one secret at Gemstone Academy, like the mysterious boy she met in the library, or the forbidden hallway that seems to whisper to her. Elizabeth may just learn that the biggest secret isn't about the school, but about her, and she's in danger because of it. Will Elizabeth be able to survive her first year at Gemstone Academy?

Possessing a strong will and fiery nature, Alyssa is the kind of person who draws others in - she's the eye of the storm. How does her perception of herself contrast to those who are closest to her? I wrote the story 'Drive' as a stand-alone, until someone suggested that the character of Alyssa could be interesting enough to further develop. Thus, I came up with a few more tales, as told from different perspectives, which when combined help paint more of a picture of Alyssa. 'Study of a Girl' is kind of a reflection on human behaviour, personality, and questions some common values and ways of thinking that we can exhibit. I hope you enjoy reading!

Despite the fact everyone seems to thing the savior is Alyssa, no one knows for sure, and one false attempt will destroy everything Aptitude Academy has ever known.
