Delilah Mistral is a normal girl living in Foxwood. Well, almost normal. She is the daughter of Rhian Mistral and the granddaughter of the Evil School Master, Rafal. When she rides the Flowerground to the School for Good and Evil as an Ever, Delilah discovers the hidden half of her parentage, as well as, eventually, a plot to change the universe. As she travels between the dimensions, Delilah has to change her game constantly, becoming stronger, smarter and faster than her enemies-or at least trying. When your opponents have everything mapped out just so, it's a bit hard to keep up. As the Mockinglark, Delilah is responsible for the whole universe's preservation. Not to mention that her mother is their leader, and an 'ex'-friend is a member. As the game intensifies and Delilah is made to scrap her plan completely, she fears that she is no longer fit for her role: she feels the cold, hard edges of insanity scraping and pulling at her mind.
