"She was sent to kill him. He spent twenty years protecting her." "I came to kill him." Lucien looked me straight in the eye and said: "Little Phoenix, I've spent twenty years making sure nobody kills you first." Aurelia Silvermoon has spent her entire life preparing for one thing: Revenge. The powerful Dragon Heir, Lucien Drakon, is responsible for her parents' deaths-or so she's been told. Disguised under a fake identity, Aurelia infiltrates the billionaire's empire with a single mission: Get close enough to kill him. But the moment she enters his world of private jets, royal palaces, luxury yachts, and dangerous secrets, everything begins to unravel. Because Lucien already knows exactly who she is. And instead of exposing her... he protects her. Every assassin sent after her dies before reaching her. Every threat disappears. Every secret leads to one impossible truth: The man she came to destroy has spent twenty years keeping her alive. The Dragon King has loved her since childhood. Now Aurelia must decide whether to trust the only man she's ever been told to hate. Because the closer she gets to Lucien, the more she realizes something terrifying: He was never her enemy. The people she calls family are. And a dragon in love is the most dangerous creature in the world.

He didn't rush. He *stalked* toward her-slow, measured steps, like a predator that already knew its prey had nowhere to run. The space between them shrank with suffocating inevitability, each second stretching tighter than the last. "Noor..." Her name rolled off his tongue in a deep, controlled murmur-yet it hit her like a spark against dry skin. A shiver ran down her spine, sharp and unwilling. She didn't move. Didn't blink. Didn't give him the satisfaction. And then he was there. Close enough that she could feel his presence before she could even process it. Close enough that the air itself felt heavier. He leaned in. His breath ghosted over her ear, warm and deliberate. "You seem... very interested in my business," he whispered, his voice darker now, edged with something dangerous. "When you should be worrying about an entire state." Silence. But not weakness. Her fingers curled slightly at her sides, nails digging into her palm as she held herself still. He exhaled softly-almost amused. "Say something, Miss Noor..." he murmured, his lips barely inches from her skin. "Or should I call you-" A pause. Intentional. Cruel. "Mrs. Noor Kian Malik?" That did it. Her head snapped toward him, eyes blazing-no longer calm, no longer distant. Fire burned in them, raw and unapologetic. Her blood surged, anger rising so violently it drowned everything else. For a moment, it wasn't fear in her veins.
