Hoseok has always been praised for his amazing dancing, rapping and even singing. He was not only someone kids looked up to but who kids loved. He was the sunshine of the school and cared for everyone. He's always won competitions and never had a rival....until Normani showed up. She was the new girl at school and the new rival. As soon as she showed up, the attention switched from Hoseok to Normani instantly. She was amazing at singing but definitely at dancing. The two absolutely hated each other. Each class they had they always had to one up each other, at lunch, they would side eye each other. After school in dance club, they had to one up the other. It was a constant thing and nobody knew how to end it.
"Hoseok! Normani!" The dance teacher says and the two stand up and head to the center of the stage and music starts to play. Hoseok dances to the music and Normani takes a couple steps back watching him. She shakes her head as the two make eye contact and hold it. Once his turn was up the two bump shoulders.
"Normani your turn and please, a clean battle you two." The dancer sighs and the music starts.
Once again the two keep their eye contact as she dances to the music. The two go back and forth until it was time to go. This went on for weeks which turned into months. One day in practice both Hoseok and Normani were going at it when Normani stood too close to the edge of the stage and falls back. Jimin hops down and crouches down and notices she was holding her ankle. As soon as he tries to gently move it she winces. He helps her up and wraps her arm around his shoulder.
"I hope you're happy Hobi hyung..." Jimin says, tired of Hoseok's countless want to be on top.

As Normani was sitting in the nurses office with Jimin, Hoseok walks into the office. Jimin stands up but Normani gently pulls his white long sleeve shirt. He looks back at her before sitting back down and Hoseok walks further into the nurse's office.
"I hope you're happy Jung...I can't dance for five weeks." She says quietly and Hoseok feels a wave of guilt.
"I'm sorry Mani...I just...I'm not used to having a competition. It's not that I didn't want you on top or that I didn't like you...I just wanted to challenge myself to be at your level. I just thought you never liked me." Hoseok says and Normani gives him a confused look.
"I was trying to be on your level and I thought you didn't like me." She says and Hoseok takes a seat next to her.
"I'm sorry I got you here." Hoseok says and she smiles and nudges him.
"I know." She teases
"So are you both cool now?" Jimin asks and Normani looks between him and Hoseok before smiling.
"Yeah, we are."
