I lay on the hard floor with some blankets surrounding me. It had been a week since our last visit with the saviors.
They had taken everything!
Daddy has been really really mean to me lately. I feel like we're drifting apart.
Eric has been constantly taking shifts for other people to help out so I barely ever see him.
I miss hanging out with him.
I got out of what my bed is and changed my clothes and then walked outside.
My arm is still broken and will be in a cast for a couple more weeks.
I wanna leave alexandria really bad and go to Maggie and check up on her but I know I can't.
I had a dream about Glen. We were walking through a field together and he asked me how Maggie was.
I told him I didn't know and he told me to go find out and tell her that he loves her.
I made a promise to him that I intend to keep.
I grabbed my knives and walked outside.
I looked around for daddy.
He was out front with Rick about to get into a car.
I ran towards him wanting to know where he was going.
But then he left...
He didn't even say goodbye.
I need to get out of here.
The saviors are gonna show up today and I am not ready to see them.
I grabbed my bag and put some of my things in it.
"Hey May" I heard a voice from downstairs.
"Yes" I screamed back.
"Can I see you for a second?" The voice called.
I walked down the stairs and was met eye to eye with Rosita.
"What do you need?" I asked her.
"I wanna know how to throw a knife perfectly." Rosita said.
"Alright I'll teach you" I said to her.
"Thank you" She said.
"On one condition." I said to her. "What's that" she said back.
"You help me get out of here so I can go to the hilltop and see Maggie." I said to her.
"Done" She said
. "Really?" I said back a little shocked.
"Ya you can take care of yourself you handled your self when you ran and fought off those saviors. "
"Alright then guess I'm gonna be teaching the best fighter here" I said to Rosita.
"Alright teach me so I can teach my classes" Rosita said as I walked out with her to the middle of town.
I grabbed my favorite knife and aimed it at the target we had set up and threw it hitting it perfectly into the center.
"Close your eye and aim like your shooting a gun" I said to her.
She positioned her arm up and her knife close to her eye.
"Put your knife away from your face." I said to her.
She threw the knife hitting the side of the target.
We stayed and practiced all day till she started getting the hang of it.
She hit the middle 10 times in a row and we decided she was good.
"Alright now you gotta help me get out of here." I said.
"Alright" She said.
"Meet me at the sewers at..." she started but was interrupted as the saviors poured into alexandria.
"Shit" I said as I looked at Rosita.
I was met eye to eye with a Daryl.
"Daryl" I said.
"Aye shut up" Negan said looking at me.
"Why should I?" I said to him.
"Because then I'll kill someone but don't worry it won't be you it'll be someone else. I would love to do it now to the Spanish chick" Negan said looking at Rosita.
Not wanting to hurt Rosita I said a quick "sorry" and then made my way towards my house.
"Hey May" I heard my name being called and I looked over to see Spencer.
"What do you need" I said back sassily.
"I wanna know if you'll be on my side?" He said.
"What are you talking about?" I said back.
"Against Rick." He said back to me.
"No why would I do that" I said to Spencer.
"Cause Rick is a terrible leader look where we are now." He said to me.
"Ya but if we had you as a leader then everyone in this place would have been dead months ago!" I screamed at him.
"Jesus Christ what is wrong with you are you menstruating?" He said to me.
"What does that even mean?" I said to him.
"Oh God you need to talk to Rosita or Maggie." He said.
"Go to hell" I said to him.
I walked away and into my house.
That's when I saw the stupid bitch.
"Arat?" I said looking at the girl in my room.
"Mandy?" She said looking at me.
"It's May" I said sternly to her.
"Oh sorry Mandy" she said back.
She looked around my room. I prayed she wouldn't see the bag hidden underneath my blankets on the floor.
She found it.
She looked at the bag filled with items that were essential to survive.
"What's this?" She asked.
"Nothing" I said back.
I am a terrible liar...
"Tell me what you were gonna do with it" Arat said.
"I wasn't gonna do anything with it" I said back to that rat.
"What were you gonna do with it?" She asked again.
I was about to say something back when I heard my front door open and I heard Negans voice.
"Oh May" he called up to me.
I didn't answer.
"May!" He screamed louder. "She's up here" Arat screamed.
"Come down here please." Negan said.
Arat forced me down the stairs and I was met eye to eye with Negan.
"I didn't get to ask you how your healing before you started to be a little pain in the ass and yelled at me" Negan said childishly.
"I'm healing just fine thanks for asking" I said to him.
"You know your like a daughter to me where's your so called daddy?" He asked me.
"I'm not sure" I said to him looking down.
"Hey don't get sad" Negan said lifting my chin.
I smacked his hand away.
"Alright your still a little shit" he said.
"She was going somewhere" Arat said bursting into the conversation.
"She was" Negan said looking at me.
I looked at the floor not saying anything.
"Where were you gonna go?" Negan asked me.
"Now where" I said.
"I have a feeling you were gonna go to the hilltop" negan said.
"No I wasn't" I said to him.
"Don't worry if you wanna I can have Arat take you." Negan said.
"I am not leaving!" I said to him.
"Yes you wanna go to the hilltop then lots get you to the hilltop you know what for extra protection lots throw another person in there just for you" Negan said.
"Fine go ahead" I said.
"How about Paul" Negan said.
"I just have to talk to someone." I said.
"Who" Negan asked.
"Rosita" I said.
"Alright your wish is my command you have 10 minutes to be out at the front gate" Negan said.
I ran out of the house and looked for Rosita I saw her standing alone by the garden.
I went up to her and tapped on her shoulder.
"Rosita I'm being taken to the hilltop by Arat and Paul!" I screamed.
"Oh no" she said.
"They are gonna kill me." I said to her.
"You have to kill them first." Rosita said.
"I can't take on both of them." I said.
"You took on 10 guys at a time you can take on two." Rosita said.
"You'll be alright." She said hugging me.
"Ask Maggie about the nose bleeds you will need to know that stuff soon" Rosita said.
"Alright I will." I said looking at her weirdly.
Why were these nose bleeds so important.
"Here" Rosita said giving me my throwing knife back.
"Thanks" I said.
"If I die tell daddy and Eric that I love them with all of my heart." I said as a single tear fell down my cheek.
I quickly brushed it away.
"I will" Rosita said.
"Pinkie promise" I said holding up my pinkie. "I promise" Rosita said putting her pinkie around mine.
I tucked the knife inside my shoe.
I ran towards the front gate and was met in the eyes of Paul and Arat.
"Long time no see buttercup" Paul said to me.
I walked out of the Gates looking back at Rosita.
She nodded at me.
We made our way into the woods.
We have been walking for 10 miles now.
I am exhausted.
I lay down on the floor as I see Arat take watch.
I soon fell asleep.
I open my eyes to still see the night sky and the warm fire still burning. The fire was huge like really big.
That's when I saw the two figures standing over me.
I quickly got up as they almost collapsed on top of me.
"What the hell Arat you were suppose to keep charge!" I screamed at her.
"Sorry didn't mean to" She said back smiling.
I see Paul get up and push the walkers against me.
I fall to the floor and grab a close by stick and smack the one in the head.
I repeated the action until it didn't make any noise.
I took my shoe off and grabbed my knife and stabbed the other one in the head.
"Should we kill her?" Paul said looking at me.
"Ya lets do it" Arat said pointing her gun at me.
"Alright bitches you wanna fight I'll give you a fight" I said looking at the two.
"Fight fair" I said to Arat.
"Deal it'll kill you slower and attract walkers I heard a herd coming this way too" she said putting her gun back.
She pulled out a long knife.
Paul charged at me and I fought to get the knife out of his hands.
He eventually dropped it and I grabbed it. He fell on his bottom.
He got up once again but I took my foot and kicked him and he landed face first into the fire and screamed.
"Alright it's your turn rat" I said looking at her.
She ran at me with her knife and stabbed me in the shoulder.
I screamed out In pain and then did the only thing I could do and head butted her as hard as I could.
She backed away in pain.
I threw my knife at her and hit her straight in the center of the head. She fell back and I dragged her to the fire and watched her burn.
I hated those two people so much.
I killed them I watched there bodies burn in front of my eyes.
I grabbed my things and their things and made my way towards the hilltop.
Morning
It was such a good feeling to see those huge wooden fences.
I walked up to it and looked up at the guards on the top of it.
"I'm here for Maggie!" I screamed up to the man.
He opened the door and I looked at the beautiful place.
I looked around and saw the familiar red head.
She looked my way and I ran and hugged her tightly.
"May how did you get here?" She asked.
"I had to kill" I said and looked up at her crying.
She tightly hugged me and scratched my back as I cried into her.
I then looked over and saw Sasha.
I hugged her as well.
"I need to see Glen and Abraham." I said to the two.
They led me to the back and I saw to just buried graves.
I sat next to them and kissed each rock that was on the graves.
"Who did you kill?" Maggie asked me.
"I had to kill Paul and Arat." I said to her.
"That's ok" She said to me.
"Rosita said that you have to tell me about the nose bleeds" I said to her.
