You sit there taking a sip of your drink contemplating your own life.
Everything is new to you being new to the city.
Your company transferred you to California in hopes you will help them run their company there.
With that comes lots of responsibility and commitment.
Which you weren't ready for.
You take another sip of your drink when you feel someone tap your shoulder.
"Is this seat taken?" a tall brown-haired guy asks with his pearly white smile.
You shake your head no and look back to your drink.
You play around with the liquid inside the glass cup and hear the guy next to you order water.
"You order water at a bar?" you say looking over to him.
"Heck yeah that's more fun," he says enthusiastically with a chuckle.
"Probably is," you say taking another sip.
"I have a new job at this company don't want to blow it," he says taking the cup of water from the bartender.
"I been transferred here and I honestly don't know anyone," you say with a slight chuckle escaping your lips.
"Well let me introduce myself," he says giving you his hand to shake.
"I'm just a girl in a bar," you say shaking his hand.
"And I'm just a guy in a bar," he says in response.
Both of you look into each other's eyes and see the little sparkle in them.
The rest of the night both of you flirted and chatted.
After that, he took you home.
