Castiel sits next to Sam waiting for Dean to return from checking on you who had returned from a date with your jackass of a boyfriend sobbing and had run straight into your room. Castiel was worried, also confused, but mostly worried.
Dean returns running a hand down his face with an expression of clear frustration and anger.
"Do you know where the weapons bag is?" asks Dean with a quirked brow looking at the two men in front of him
"Yes, but why?" asks Sam confused as he quickly stands up along with Cas following suit
"Because we have a cheating, lying total piece of shit bastard to kill." answers Dean with a harden eyes and pissed off tone
"Jason cheated on Y/N?" realizes Castiel with his blue eyes wide
"Yeah, so now we are going to put a bullet or five in the dick." replies Dean grabbing the gun he always keeps in his back pocket out
"Dean, we can't kill someone." argues Sam who even though was just as angry as Dean knew they couldn't be irrational
"We kill people all the time." argues back Dean as Castiel tries to figure this all out
Why would Y/N's boyfriend cheat on her? Y/N's perfect, there is no one better so why would he do that? Thinks Castiel confused who thought you were the most amazing person he had ever met
Castiel has always had a small admiration for you. With your strength and how much of a badass, kickass hunter you are plus to Castiel you are the most absolutely stunning human he has ever seen. You're y/e/c colored eyes are always bright also very beautiful and your smile....don't even get Castiel started on that because he won't stop.
Castiel has always wanted to ask you but he didn't know the first thing about relationships. Dean had tried to help him once he realized that Castiel has feelings for you, but by then you had met Jason. Jason, the stupid hunter you had fallen for, that you met during a solo hunt. The two of you started dating a year and two months ago which Castiel remembers the exact day because you had come home gushing about the date. How great Jason is and how sweet Jason is. That's all the boys heard and this was the first time Castiel had seen you so happy, carefree, and bubbly. It was a nice change but if he knew back then what he knows now though he would have stopped Jason from ever even talking to you.
"Castiel, tell Dean he is being crazy. We can't just kill some guy!" instructs Sam as both brothers turn to the angel
"I think we should kill him." states Castiel seriously with a nod
"Ha!" exclaims Dean with a prideful look while gesturing to his best friend
"You both have gone insane!" comments Sam throwing his hands up
The boys ended up not killing Jason when they heard you crying loudly immediately they all rushed to your side to comfort you all thoughts of murder disappearing instantly.
Castiel watches as a few months went by with you being sad. You were trying to be strong putting on a happy face for Cas and the Winchesters, but they can all tell how sad you really are. I mean a few weeks before the split you were talking about possibly moving in with Jason and now the two of you aren't even together. So Castiel tried to think of a way to cheer you up.
"I asked Y/N out and she said yes!" announces Castiel with a joyful expression accompanied by a good smile as he walks into the bunker's kitchen where Dean and Sam are eating breakfast
"You did what?" chokes out Sam slightly getting choked on by his food
"Dude, you shouldn't have done that now." groans Dean running his hand down his face
"Why not?" asks Castiel confused with a slight frown and tiny head tilt
He thought the Winchester would be happy just like you were when he asked you out.
"Because you are going to be the rebound, dude." answers Dean, only making Castiel more confused before he looks to Sam for an explanation
"A rebound is the guy that a girl dates to help her get over her ex or vice versa." explains Sam
"And they only last a few months or even a few dates before the girl breaks it off because the girl is only dating him to get over her ex." adds Dean
"So I am going to be Y/N's rebound and that's a bad thing?" questions Castiel trying to make sure he understands everything with furrowed brows
"Yes, because since you genuinely like Y/N, you aren't really getting a fair go at being with her since she probably still has feelings for Jason." answers Dean
"Will Y/N feel better, happier if she has a rebound?" asks Castiel as he processes everything
"Yes, but-" starts Sam only to be cut off
"Then I am okay with being Y/N's rebound." interrupts Cas with a nod of his head
All Castiel really wants is for you to be happy whether that means you being with him or with someone else. So if you having Castiel as your rebound will make you feel better and be happier then Castiel is fine with that. If Castiel even gets his heart broken in the process it will all be worth it because he will know he brought a smile to your face.
That night the two of you had your first date together. A few months later, you are happy as well as fully over Jason which is why Castiel has been warned multiple times by Dean that the time of you two being together is probably going to come to an end soon.
The two of you have been together for a few months now. At first, thing were a bit awkward as you were still heartbroken and Castiel has never been in a relationship so he wasn't exactly sure what to do or to say. Though along the way things seemed to click together. Castiel got more comfortable in his new role as a boyfriend and you started to feel heal from your heartbreak.
Even though Castiel was a bit awkward, he still has always been the perfect gentleman. He always brings you flowers on dates and he even went all out for your one month anniversary.
You stood next to Castiel outside the bunker holding a huge bouquet of flowers these ones being sunflowers he normally brought you different ones each time.
"So are we taking the car or...?" You asked looking around with slightly confusion
Castiel smiles before he presses his fingers to your forehead. You squint slightly before your eyes widen at the sight around you.
The two of you are at a fairground that was currently empty as it was the middle of fall so they probably are closed for the season.
"Do you like it?" asked Castiel with a sheepishly and slightly worried expression as you look around in awe
"Yeah, this is great." You answered Castiel with a huge grin as you turn to him that made one form on his face
Castiel held his hand out for you to take and you quickly did so.
"So what do you want to do first?" asked Castiel making you smile
You hadn't been to a fair since you were ten so you are quite excited.
"Oh, I know. We have to ride the merry go round." You answer knowing Cas had never been to a fair so you have to take him on the classic ride
"As you wish." said Castiel before you dragged him towards the brightly colored ride
The night was coming to an end but you had convinced Castiel to do one more ride, the Ferris wheel.
Your head lays on Castiel's shoulder as his arm is around your waist as the ride slowly brings you guys higher. You now hold a teddy bear in your arms that Castiel "won" you. He knocked not all the pins down but most of them and you took one of the brightly colored bears from behind the table.
As it neared the top you sit up which made Castiel turn towards you.
"Today was great, Cas, really. This is probably the best date I have ever been on." You said making the angel a bit happier
"Thanks, Y/N." said Castiel with a proud look as he planned this date weeks ahead and was really hoping you would like it
The two of you make it to the top by then. You grinned before your hands reached up to gently cup Castiel's face before you captured Castiel's lips with yours.
Now the two of you sit at a dinner near downtown on your normal Friday date night that you guys would have if you weren't trying to stop the last threat to the world. The lilies Cas got you resting beside you in the booth.
"I'm going to get a refill babe. I'll be right back." You say letting go of Castiel's hand that you were holding on top of the table
"Okay." says Castiel giving you a small smile
I love it when he smiles. You think as you head towards the counter glad that since the two of you have been dating it has come out more
Castiel watches after you always worried someone or something might just come out of nowhere and attack you. Instead of that happened he watches you laugh at something your waiter said to you. Now Cas is totally clueless when it comes to telling if someone is flirting but even he could figure out the waiter had been flirting with you the whole time they had been there. Suddenly fear hit Castiel in waves.
At first, Castiel was okay with the possibility of him being your rebound that you would break up with eventually but suddenly seating there watching you laugh with the waiter something in him changed. Despite Dean's warnings, Cas had a small hope that he wasn't just a rebound for you, but seeing you with the blonde made that hope disappear. Suddenly fear and pain ran through Cas something he hadn't experienced before as well as heartbreak and emotional not physical pain. He is scared, scared of losing you. Scared that the girl he loves doesn't love him and his happiness would soon be gone.
You headed back to the table totally oblivious to the pain Castiel is feeling. You start to take his hand in yours again while you sip on your soda but Cas pulls his hand back. You look confused for a second before you shrug it off.
Okay, you couldn't shrug it off anymore. It had been two days since the dinner date and Castiel had been acting weird ever since.
"Dean, do you know what's wrong with Cas? He has been acting weird since Friday." You ask as you stand behind Dean in the library
You had tried to figure out on your own thinking you might have done something but you couldn't figure it out so you immediately went to Dean, who is Castiel's best friend and tells him almost everything.
Dean tenses up slightly when you ask this question. He knew why Castiel was being weird, of course, he does.
"You know, don't you?" You question, easily being able to read the Winchester
Dean starts trying to run to avoid your interrogation, but you stop him by grabbing his shoulder.
"Dean, tell me please, he is sort making me freak out. He...he isn't going to break up with me, right?" You question as you let your worries come out
All you knew was that Castiel was stopping anything affectionate from happening between the two of you and would barely talk to you.
"No, no, it's not like that, I promise." Dean immediately assures you as he looks around to face you
"Then, what is it like?" You question with concern in your voice while your question makes Dean let out a sigh
"He's scared that you are going to break up with him." admits Dean as his hand runs down his face in his Dean way
"What? Why would he think that?" You question with confusion
You didn't think you had done anything to make Castiel think you would do that.
"He thinks that he is just your rebound." adds Dean making you even more puzzled
"Why would he think that?" You question with a raised brow
"Because...I might have said something about him being your rebound." admits Dean softly
After a long lecture of you mostly screaming at Dean, you set out to find the blue-eyed angel.
Castiel's thoughts about being just your rebound couldn't be far from the truth, you are falling for him and it scares you how fast you are falling for him.
"Castiel." You greet with a small, nervous smile as you finally find him in Dean's man cave.
"Oh, hello, Y/N." says Cas shifting slightly from where he was standing looking at Dean's collection of DVDs.
"Look, I know why are acting weird." You say feeling quite uncomfortable since this is a bit of a weird conversation to start as you step closer to Castiel
"I-I'm not acting weird." attempts to lie Cas but you can obviously see through it
"Yes, you are Cas, it's okay I get it. You're scared. Scared that you are just my rebound and that's all you are to me." You say as you now stand in front of Castiel
Castiel drops his head down to look at his feet from being uncomfortable slash embarrassed.
"But-" You start taking Castiel's hand in yours
"But that can't be farther from the truth. To be honest, I'm scared too because I'm falling for you Cas." You continue as you rub soothing circles onto Castiel's hand
"You-You are?" questions Castiel stunned as he finally looks up at you
"Yeah, I am because you are the best guy I have ever been with. You are the only guy that has ever made me feel this way and you are the only guy I want. You're not a rebound Cas, you're the guy I'm falling head over heels in love with." You reply softly
Castiel then immediately reaches his hand up to you gently cup your cheek before crashing his lips onto yours. You can feel the relief and the love Cas is pouring into the kiss.
Castiel pulls back when both of your lungs need air. You lean your forehead against his, both of you trying to catch your breath.
"I've fallen for you too." confesses Castiel softly making a huge grin form on your face while you also feel a ton of relief
You then press your lips back to Castiel's both of you unaware of the Winchester that was sneakily watching you from the door.
Hmm, I guess I was wrong. He did have a fair chance I mean he did get the girl after all.

First off happy, cute, smiley Dean made an appearance this episode which made me crazy happy😊. I liked the Halloween special episode it was cute and light hearted which was a nice change....but I do have one question how did Sam know what irl is or Fortnite? Also randomly was it me or did Dean dressed like a lot different than usual this episode? I mean it was very handsome but just different Kinda sad we didn't see any of Jack or Cas but at the same time it was kinda nice to have an episode of just the boys hunting together. Plus like Dean said still weird to have a bunker of random people in the bunker during shots but eventually I'll get used to it ig. Anyway overall very good episode nice change from the sad and dramatic stuff. Anyways what was your thoughts on the episode? And what are you looking forward to in tonight's episode?
