Dylan's pov
I felt Darcy's father glaring at me from the kitchen behind my back I kinda turned and made a face at him he glanced and I rubbed my face looking back at Darcy
"Dylan" Darcy giggled
"What cupcake?" I chuckled back
"Don't do that what if he catches you?" She lightly hit my arm
"Hey I'm playing by all his rules we're in his field of view, I'm not alone with you, and I'm not groping you what else is there?"
"Please Dylie I really like you I don't want daddy to hate you" she pouted I sighed
"He already hates me but okay I'll be good your lucky I'd be tickling you and peppering you with kisses" she laughed just thinking about it I smiled
"I believe you" she leaned on me I held her hip and kissed her head
"You're so beautiful, SO sweet, and the kindest girl I know and I'm so lucky to have you" I hummed happily
"Awww Dylie you're so nice to me" she kissed my jaw I looked at the clock on the wall I gasped
"Oo Fu-" Darcy shook her head NO rapidly reminding me her father was listening "fu..dge icicles I'm late for work" I stood up she stood too
"But it's like 8pm you in the day" she frowned probably thinking I just wanted to leave her
"I-I have a fight...I'm not the fighter though I'm the manager the fighter is Axel and we go like once a weekish to go fight" I shrugged I hugged her rubbing her back feeling the burn of her father's death glare
"Oh okay bye Dylie" she turned her head and I kissed her cheek rushing out I hated the fact her father had to watch us she's 16 she's gunna have a boyfriend and I'm probably the best her father could hope for because I'd never push her to do anything
I pulled up at Axel's 5 minutes later than planned and he was sitting on the curb as I pulled up he glared but his was more icy than Darcy's father's
"Sorry I was with Darcy I lost track of time" I quickly explained
"Whatever but you need to realize I do this dumb shit for you I have jobs this is just an extra few hundred bucks every once in awhile and I doubt this all getting your name out there like you say" Axel lectured
"What are you my mum? Like damn chill the money is great few hundred is an understatement you make about over a thousand a fight that's just your cut and my name is out there do you know how many other places have called me and wanted you to fight?"
"You better be telling them no" Axel hissed
"Obviously I have been look I left my girlfriend for this I'm taking it seriously alright?!" I snapped
"Well what did you tell her? About why your leaving?" Axel asked
"I told her the truth, we were going to fight" I shrugged
"YOU TOLD HER YOU DUMB FUCK?!" Axel screamed I slammed the breaks and brought the car to a screeching halt
"WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST CALL ME?! I'M NOT LYING TO DARCY OKAY WHATS YOUR PROBLEM?!" I screamed at him
"I CALLED YOU A DAMN DUMB FUCK YOU TOLD HER WHAT WE'VE BEEN DOING" he rubbed his face "YOU STUPID SHIT She's gunna tell it's gunna slip and we'll be screwed" he groaned
"Why would it FUCKING MATTER YOU ASSHOLE?!" I yelled
"Because say your mums looking for you she calls Darcy and Darcy says oo he's fighting your mums gunna tell your dad your dad isn't gunna take too long to understand he now knows your illegally fighting and your possible arrested they ask around your girlfriend and parent don't know any better they asked 'was he fighting?' They say yes and your screwed" he explained pretty throughly it scared me because I could see how he was right
"Now me? your girl tells your mum your mum tells mine 1 of 3 things would happen my mum would whoop my ass finding out I was doing something stupid, pop coming to find me possibly with mum and the kids, or I'd get turned in for lessons sake therefore IM SCREWED TOO"
"Shit" I mumbled driving again "I-I guess I'll tell her not to say"
"Man we can't keep doing this something serious is gunna happen" Axel worried
"No no everything is fine you're fine" I reassured
Axel looked out the window and went silent suddenly Axel's hand hit my chest "turn around!"
"W-What?" I looked at him then at his hand
"There's a very large white unmarked van no windows Dylan that can't be good" I rolled my eyes continuing to drive "DYLAN STOP" he yelled at me but I kept driving I pulled into a spot
"Come on" I hit Axel's arm he stared at the van
"Dylan no I'm serious that van-"
"AXE JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP OKAY?! I DON'T CARE ITS PROBABLY SOME RAPIST IN THE CROWD THATS NOT OUR CONCERN" I cut him off exploding
He glared his lip twitches he got out slamming my door very very roughly making shaking my whole car
"Very mature Axe" I grunted we walked in I looked for the boss he was normally some where near the front
"Grey hoodies" I shook my head and looked at Axel who was staring into the crowd blank faced
"What?" I muttered very confused I looked to were he was generally looking I spotted a guy in a hoodie then another and another and...
"They are all together so what?" I mumbled
Axel looked at me and ground his teeth he looked back at the crowd and started walking "you owe me Dylan we're about to..." he spoke as he walked but I couldn't hear his last words as he reached the crowd
We were making our way through the owner was at Axel's locker room door he was staring out into the crowd no ladies, no drink, not even a cigarette in his fingers he looked at Axel
"Watch yourself your a big crowd pleaser" they shared a knowing glare I cocked an eyebrow and shook my head both of them are paranoid for nothing
I sat on the bench waiting for the announcement but all the case was "fighters to the ring" no names no revving up the crowd no stats nothing
Axel slipped on his gloves "there's an exit in here and a dead bolt on the door" he glared as he stepped out he mumbled through the thresh hold of the metal door "Hold my stuff wear it on you" I rolled my eyes again and picked up his duffle bag putting it on my shoulder having to please him before his fight to better my chance to get paid
Both fighters were in the ring but unlike Axe the other guy was completely pumped I think I heard him talking but not just talking he was trash talking Axe but Axel obviously wasn't giving him the time of day I thought it was a little funny
The buzzer went off and the opponent hit Axe but he wasn't affected he swung but missed I felt like screaming at him telling the fucker to focus on the guy swinging at him
He looked at the other fighter then at me and jumped out of the ring screaming "RUN" he pointed at a guy near me I went wide eyed and looked the guy was pulling a gun from his hoodie I realized his cryptic remark earlier about the exit was about this
I ran back the locker room only to be pushed forward with a hard jolt "It's me" a familiar voice rang along with a string of loud gun shots
I tumbled to the floor and turned seeing Axel dead bolt the door "GO GO TO THE EXIT" he screamed grabbing my shirt dragging me behind him as he pushed the door open nearly throwing me out running full speed "RUN" he yelled back at me I ran but he'd always been faster than me
We got to my car and we scrambled in realizing gun shots were now being heard from outside the building "I TOLD YOU" Axel slammed his hand on my dashboard
"I'm never gunna hear the end of this am I?" I mumbled
Axel forced a hard, dry laugh "oooo fuck no I was almost shot your lucky I don't hang you for this"
"Well uhh you have a fight next Thursday and I'm telling him to triple the amount" I smirked
"We were almost SHOT" Axel yelled
"Almost, almost means he owes us and we're gunna cash in" I hit my wheel excitedly
"You're fucking crazy Dylan" he shook his head
