CHAPTER 11: Say ‘Good Night’—the Tyrone way
Car park. 10 PM
“Patis, pasok na.” pinagbukas nya ako ng pinto atsaka pumasok sa kotse niya. When I got in, I just sat there, with my arms crossed over my chest.
“Aishh, kanina ka pa nakasimangot? Ano bang problema mo?” tanong agad ni Tyrone nung makapasok sya. He doesn’t sound angry or annoyed. Just really asking what my problem is. He started the engine and prepared to drive away out of the parking lot.
“Wala” I simply told him. I don’t know why I’m feeling grumpy. Kanina pa akong ganito. Almost half of the event, hindi ko na-enjoy. It’s not like anyone cares kung nag-e-enjoy ba ako o hindi eh. It’s just that, ewaaaan!!! Kanina pa kasi gumugulo sa isip ko yung about kay Tyrone eh. I know it wasn’t just a prank, there’s really something behind that letter.
“Come on. Ano ba yun? Is it about my prank? I told you, that was nothing. Forget about that.” Explain niya ulit. We’re already driving on the road, back to my house.
“It’s not just about that. Hindi ko alam. Ang dami kasing gumugulo sa isip ko about sayo.” I told him honestly. Dahil sa kanya, ang dami kong nakakalimutang ibang bagay, lalo na yung ex ko., I think he’s the source of my energy lately. I don’t know if that was a good or bad thing. And because he’s holding a big part of my happiness right now, I think I should get to know him more, right? (=___+)?
“It’s because you’re over thinking. That’s all.” He said. I rolled my eyes and faced him.
“I’m not over thinking, okay? I just want to know you more. What’s wrong with that?” If he thinks I’m special, then why isn’t he trying to know me? At the same time, I also need to know him.
“Patrice, we’re just starting out. Of course we cannot know each other in just few weeks.” Not to mention in that few weeks, we rarely meet. It’s because I have school and he’s busy with I-don’t-know-what-it-is kind of stuff. What the heck~ (=____=)7
“Maglaro tayo.” I announced. What I have in mind is a pretty good idea to know him! He looked at me skeptically, pero sa huli, wala rin syang nagawa kundi pumayag sa kung anong gusto ko. I told him let’s play 20 questions. (I’m not sure kung yun nga ba ang tawag dun pero yun yung napapanuod ko sa mga dramas. Hehe.)
“What’s your full name?” I asked him first.
“Aissh, alam mo naman eh. Wag mo ng tanungin.” Nakakaburaot niyang sagot. I should’ve known na hindi sya aayos sa larong ito! Kainis!!!! (>____<)”
“Eeeehhh~ Tyrone naman kasi! Sumagot ka ng maayos!!” pilit ko sa kanya tapos kinurot ko pa sya sa braso. Napa-aray sya at kunot na kunot ang noo habang nagda-drive.
“Oo na! Sakit mo mangurot! Aissh, Tyrone Jake Torres Marcos. Ilang taon ka na?” this time, turn naman niya magtanong.
“Turning 19 years old. Favorite color?” – Patrice
“Black. Birth date?” – Tyrone
“May 10. Favorite food?” – Patrice
“Nilagang elepante. Ikaw?” – Tyrone
“Eeeehhh! Tyrone naman kasii!! Umayos ka nga!! Ano nga yung favorite food mo?!! Hahaha. (>___<)” Hinampas ko ulit sya habang tawa ng tawa. Parang tanga kasi! Ayaw ayusin yung sagot! Hahaha.
“Joke lang. Lollipop? Marami eh. Ikaw, ano favorite mo?” this time maayos na niyang sagot habang nagda-drive. Sumandal ako sa upuan ko at nag-isip.
“Ahmm.. Chocolates. Marshmallows. Basta sweets. Hobbies?” – Patrice
“Going out with friends. Girls. Those are my hobbies. You?” – Tyrone
“Studying.” I answered him. Napaka-walang kwenta ng hobbies niya compared to mine. Ughh. Napapaisip tuloy ako kung bakit ko ba dine-date ang isang ‘toh eh. My ghaadddd!
“That’s boring. Okay, ako ulit magtatanong ha. Ideal guy?” Finally, he asked me a question that somehow makes sense. Nilagay ko yung finger ko sa may chin ko at nag-isip. Hmm.. Ano nga ba?
“Ideal guy ko ay yung… Gentleman. Honest. tsaka… yung maipagmamalaki ko sa parents ko.” sagot ko after kong mag-isip ng ilang minutes. He didn’t say anything after that, basta lang syang nagda-drive.
“Sabi ko yun yung ideal guy ko!! Jeez, ikaw? Anong ideal girl mo? :3” ako naman yung nagtanong sa kanya. Hehe. Turn ko na kasi. XDD
“Not much. Basta yung tanggap ako. Yun lang.” he answered quietly. Tanggap sya? He got me thinking there. Tanggap ba na ano? Na-gangster sya? Na-gunman sya? Na-gambler sya? O na-Garapal sya sa babae? LOL

“Ahhh. What does ‘G’ stands for ba kasi?” I asked him, kinakamot ko pa yung ulo ko while asking him. Ang kulet kasi niya. Ayaw pa sumagot. What’s the big deal with it? XD
“Hoy turn ko pa para magtanong, wag kang mang-agaw. Sige, ang tanong ko pa… hmm.. Are you over with your ex? Angelo nga ba yun?” he asked, sounding so uninterested. ARGHHH! Ang shunga talaga nito!!
“Angelo ka diyan. Julian yun! Ang layo naman ng Angelo sa Julian? Duhh~ And what’s with your question? I’ll pass.” I told him. He looked and laughed at me. Anong nakakatawa? Crazy bastard.
“Hahaha. Julian ba? Ah sige… Eh bakit di ka makasagot? It’s just a yes or no.” he shrugged. Asar ‘tong si Tyrone. Ihulog ko kaya sya sa kotse niya? What do you think? (~___~)?
“Heh. Hindi ko sasagutin yan. Bakit ikaw, hindi mo rin naman sinasagot lahat ng tanong ko ha?” then I stick out my tongue to him. Quits lang kami! Blehhh! >:P
“Okay. I’m not really interested about Angelo, anyway.” Ang boplaks talaga nitong si Tyrone. Sinabing Julian eh. Nakakaloka!! Minsan mabait, minsan palaasar, o palatawa. Pero minsan akala mo menopausal na kung magsungit. Kagulo ng ugali ng taong ‘toh. (__ __)” Shu-shunga shunga pa minsan. Haaayyynako!
“Whatever!!! Sabihin mo na kasi sa akin kung ano ba yung trabaho mo? It’s just a work, ano bang masama dun?” this time, I sound like a whining child. I can’t help it. He’s being so secretive.
“Fine. Sasabihin ko na. I’m working for my friends.” He started. I was listening to him expectantly. He’s saying it now! Good!
“I don’t actually think it is a work dahil sobrang dali lang naman ng ginagawa ko. I have my own schedule, I’m the boss of myself yet they pay me for my service. THAT’S ALL.” Finally, sinagot na rin niya yung tanong ko.
“Eh bakit di mo agad sinasabi? Pa-suspense pa eh. Kaninong friends ba? Kina Martin?” tanong ko ulit. Akala ko naman kung ano na. kesyo gambler, gunman, gangster, etc, kung anu-ano naman iniisip ko. hahahaha.
“Not to them. Di mo kilala kaya wag mo ng alamin.” Masungit na naman niyang sagot. Kainis, di na talaga ‘toh magbabago, noh?
“Anong service ba ginagawa mo? Baka kung anong service yan ha? Yiiieee~hahaha!” pang-aasar ko pa sa kanya. Syempre baka ibang service na ginagawa niya!! Kakaloka naman yun! Hahaha!
“Aissh, crazy. Kung anu-ano iniisip mo diyan. It’s really nothing. I’m helping them with their needs. Kunwari, may problema sila, I’ll help them. Simple as that..” Aaahhh. Taga-ayos ng problema? Ano bang mga problema ang inaayos niya? What kind of work was that, anyway?
“Ang gulo naman niyan di ko ma-gets.” Sabi ko sa kanya. Di ko kasi talaga ma-gets eh. Yun lang ba talaga yun? Why do I feel like it’s not all that? Meron pang iba.. And somehow, my instincts are telling me that it has something to do with the letter and numbers…
“I told you. It’s not really a work. I’m merely helping them in my own way.” Tumingin na ulit ako sa harapan. Papasok na kami sa village namin.
“Then what about that ‘G’?” I asked him. Syempre susulitin ko na habang sagot pa sya ng sagot. XD
“I told you it was just a prank. I did that so you’ll lose your mind thinking about it. It turns out it really works. You’ve gone mad, Patis! >:DD” at tumawa na sya ng tumawa. Binatukan ko nga. Siraulo talaga ‘tong lalaking ‘toh!! Pinag-isip lang ako! Pinasakit lang ulo ko!! Grabee! Para pala akong paranoid na isip ng isip ng walang kwentang bagay. Fok. Fok. Fok!!!
“Kakaasar ka! Isip ako ng isip, pinagti-tripan mo lang pala ako!!” we reached our house. It’s passed 11 PM already, siguro tulog na sila.
“Sorry, okay? Malay ko bang seseryosohin mo yun. Hahaha. Ano ba ang mga naisip mo?” he rested his back on the seat and asked me.
“Wala naman. Hehe. Inisip ko na baka isa kang.. ano ba.. guard ng presidente, genius, goblin, gunman, gambler at marami pang iba. Haha! Believe me, they are all crazy guesses!” binibilang ko pa yung mga hula ko sa daliri ko tapos tumawa. Haha. Para akong baliw. Kung anu-ano kasi yung mga hula ko. XDD
“So what was the most promising guess that you had in mind?” pinatong niya yung arms niya dun sa manibela tapos nakatingin sa akin. He got this serious face. Yung mata niya parang nakakatunaw na namang tumingin. (@____@)
“Ahmm.. Kasi.. You got a lot of money. You got rich friends. You’re used to being beat up. What? Are you a gangster? Hehe.” I hesitantly laughed. Syempre imposibleng maging gangster sya, but on the second thought, pwede rin pala. Hehe. But then again, the author wouldn’t make him a gangster! Ang dami na daw kasing ganun ang hula! >:PP
“Gangster? Pfft-hahahaha! You think I’m a gangster? No, Patis. I’m better than that. My life is much more precious for me to waste. I’m a lover, not a fighter.” Tawa sya ng tawa. I think nasisiraan na sya ng bait. Nahahawa na sya sa mga kaibigan niyang sina Rick, Van at Martin. XDD
“Eh sa iyon nga ang naisip ko eh? Diyan ka na nga. Papasok na ako. :P” I told him. Dapat kanina pa ako pumasok pero syempre busy ako makipagkwentuhan sa kanya eh. Hehe.
“Fine, fine.. Wait, Patis…” inaalis ko na yung seatbelt ko ng bigla na lang niya akong tawagin. He stopped me from removing my seatbelt. I looked at him to see what the problem is, and then suddenly, he leaned closer to me. He put his hand on my cheek and…
He pressed his lips to mine. Nung una, nabigla ako dahil sa ginawa niya. But then nung na-processed na nung slow kong utak kung ano yung ginagawa namin, I also closed my eyes. Asdfghjkl. I need to make sulit sulit this moment!! (>////<)
He’s moving and I’m simply following what he’s doing. His kiss is overwhelming. His lips are soft… and warm, just perfect for this cold night. I can hear my heartbeat pounding on my chest. Kissing him doesn’t make me nervous, it makes me feel so good.. like I can just live my whole life kissing him. That’s how of a good kisser he is.
And thinking of it now, I wondered how many girls have he kissed to be that good. But then, it can be the other way around, maybe he’s born to be good with these things that’s why he got lots of girls playing with him, talking about numbers.
He’s still holding my cheek when we stopped kissing. Our throat screamed for oxygen so we have to stop. I can feel my face turning hot and red. It was a pretty loooong, but DEFINITELY good kiss. When my mind somehow relaxed, I started to feel embarrassed. Waaaaaa!! It is our first kiss!!! We did our first kiss tonight!! OH.MY.GOODNESS!!! Can you believe it? (O/////O)
“Good night.” And he smiled at me. Damn. Poteeekk! Gustong gusto ko na talagang tumili ngayon!! W-Waaaaaa!! He’s so pogii~ He’s dark but he’s romantic. And he’s my man! Kyaaaaaa~ (>//////<)
“G-Good night… (>/////>)” tapos, sinubukan kong tanggalin yung seatbelt ko pero parang wala akong kalakas-lakas. Walanjong kamay ‘toh. Bakit ngayon ka pa nanlalambot? It was just a kiss for pete’s sake!! A kiss from him? Whoa. I’m surprised I’m even conscious now! Iniisip ko pa lang na— ermeghed, hihimatayin yata ako!!! Mwahahaha!! >:D
“Ako na..” tapos sya na yung nagtanggal nung seatbelt ko. I timidly smiled at him. Then binuksan ko na yung pinto. Tapos nung nasa labas na ako, syempre sinarado ko yung pinto pero nanatiling nakatayo. I was thinking of something to say pero wala akong maisip. I’m so dazed. We kissed!! W-We kissed!!!! WAAAAAAA!! “Ano pang hinihintay mo? Pasok na, Patis. Baka sipunin ka diyan.” Binaba niya yung bintana then sinabi yan. I faked a cough tapos inaayos ayos yung buhok ko… Waaaa~ I need to say something!! (@////@)
“O-Okay… Uhm.. See you?” I asked him. Hindi ko alam kung bakit ang uncomfortable kong makipag-usap sa kanya. What? It was our first kiss; of course I have the right to feel awkward! But then it doesn’t mean that I didn’t like it. Hehe. Kyaaaa~!!! (>/////<)!!
“Yeah, see you.” He smiled, then wave. Ang bilis ng tibok ng puso ko at halos mapatalon ako nung sinabi niyang magkikita ulit kami. Hehe! Ang sayaaaaa! Yeheeeeyy!! \(^_____^)/
“Okay. Ingat sa pag-da-drive.” Last kang bilin sa kanya tapos, hinintay ko ng makaalis yung sasakyan niya bago pumasok ng bahay.
ASDFGHJKL!!! Hindi yata ako makakatulog tonighhhhhtttt!!!! KYAAAAAA~!!! Magaganda ang nangyari ngayon. Maganda ang takbo ng relasyon namin. He introduced me to his friends. We had our first kiss….. I’ve never think so special of a kiss, but it’s different this time. It is because it is Tyrone’s soft and warm lips that kissed me. Hihihihihi. I’m such a lucky girl. (*///////*)
