( Kristin needs zack to catch her from falling . )
* A week later / At D'angelo house *
Okay taking my mother's advice was good , but taking time to figure out when to put the advice into action has taken longer then expected . Zack has been avoiding me at all costs! And I haven't even done anything to him! Maybe he's taking the not talking to him thing too far? Oh well , I'll just have to deal with it tonight . Tonight is the school dance , and i'm worried as hell .
Cause litzy's prediction of something happening on the night of the dance is true , ans she's been teasing me about how I'm involved in it . It's been driving me crazy! So crazy that I've been actually listening to ryan's lectures to himself on trying not to piss zack off then he already is! Yeah , it's driving me that crazy! And she knows not to tease me about these things , cause it only drives me mad with craziness .
I keep reminding her this , but she never listened . But me and her went shopping , and we both got our dresses for the dance . We did that tuesday afternoon , and now it's friday night! Not very freaky , but I guess kinda fun . Rui is making zack go to the dance , sean isn't going , rui is going to have fun , and since I'm going ryan has to go so he can watch me . Especially tonight . There's this guy at school named kiyo kamui who kinda creeps me out . He's got black and white hair , and that's just weird .
He's been keeping his eyes on me since I started going to the guys school , but I've never told anyone about it until it's gotten bad . I told ryan , and ryan got pissed . He got so pissed that he punched the wall , reji wasn't happy about ryan punching the wall .
And tonight I feel like kiyo is planning to do something to me , so ryan is going to watch over me and protect me .

I just can't shake the feeling off , but I've got to stay away from him . From what people told me , he's bad news . And I'm starting to agree , cause I heard that kiyo did something bad . But no one will tell me , what a total drag . But oh well , I should be more worried about my appearance . I still got to wear my stinking sling! Kayla has been hurting it , and so reji says it's gonna be a few more weeks until I can stop wearing it . But kayla changed , and now we're friends . When she was hurting it was only like 3 days ago .
I wish things were easy , but they're not . I'm gonna have to wear a sling with my dress , oh great ( sarcasm ) .
It's 6:10pm , and the dance starts at 7:00pm . The guys should be getting ready , but knowing zack it's probably gonna be a war getting him ready . The guys decided to let me get ready on my own time , and so I decided to take a bath before . Here I am now , laying in my bathtub watching the bubbles disintegrate slowly one by one .
My right arm is not in the water , it's on the dry top of the tub . Reji says give it a couple of more days , then he'll be able to take out the threading . The cut wound on it has healed up a bit , but I have to wait a few more days . My bruises have cleared up a bit , but they're still there and they still hurt . So ryan will be in here to but the bandages on after I get done , he's also gonna help me do my hair and makeup cause I can't freaking do it .
He said he'd do it for me , and I couldn't help but accept his offer . Zeke was quite upset that he isn't getting to go to the dance , but we told him it's cause he's in middle school . But I told him that I'd hang out with for the whole day tommorow , that is if he'd stop being all mad . He gladly agreed to it , and I couldn't help but smiled at him when he said that . He's such a lil sweetheart , bless his lil heart . Sometimes it makes me feel like he's my own , but I'm not gonna have kids until I'm married .
Which knowing zack , if we do fix things and get married he'll probably get me pregnant the night of the wedding night . But lucky for him , my ovulation is soon so he better be praying that the wedding will be soon . I looked at the time , and 10 minutes have passed . Okay , I better get out .
So I used my left arm for leverage , and I pushed myself up . Once I'm standing on my feet , I grab my towel and wrap it around myself .
I pull the plug and let the water drain , then I get out of the tub and stand on the rug . Water droplets fell from the ends of my hair , my hair hasn't grown any . It's still the shortest it's always been , I'm suprised that it hadn't grown any . Oh well , it's fine .
I dried myself using only my left arm , it's a struggle but it's fine . I'm kinda getting used to only using my left arm , it's a struggle but I'm doing it .
After drying myself , I put on my bra and panties then I put on shorts and a crop top . Soon there was a knock at the door , ans I knew it was ryan .
" Come in . " I said . Ryan came in with the numbing medicine and bandages , he also had my sling .
Oh come on . I sighed and let him put the medicine on , then he put on the bandages . He left the sling alone , then he left the bathroom so I could undress and put on the dress .
After changing out of the crop top and shorts , I put on the dress but I needed it to be zipped up . " Ryan you can come back in , I need your help . " I said . He came in , and I noticed that he was wearing his dance outfit . He was wearing a red shirt , black jacket , the key chain necklace he always wears , black jeans and his white boots he always wears . " Your style never seems to change ryan . " I said .
" Neither does yours , cause I remember you wearing a white as red dress to the valentine's day dance at our middle school . And here are wearing white and red again . " he said .
" Shaddaup , I like these colors . " I said . He walked to the back of me , and zipped up the dress . He then made me sit on a stool , and he did my hair . " Really? Those are zack's liked colors too , are you sure your not just wearing them to impress him? " he teased . I blushed a faint pink , and I turned my gaze away from his .
" Shaddaup . " I said . He laughed , and I only pouted like the child I was . He grabbed a towel , and dried my hair until it was dry like a desert .
Well he is inhuman , so of course it's gonna be dry within a few minutes .
After he did that , he started to do my hair . " So , how's getting zack ready going? " I asked . " Not so well , he's resisting and it's annoying rui . Eventually sean will have to switch out with rui , that is if rui can't get him ready . " he said . " It's that hard huh? " I asked . " Apparently . " he said . " Not to be mean to sean , but he's more lazy then helpful . " I said .
" I agree , all he does is listen to music and sleep . " he said .
" That sounds like me . " I said .
" Really? " he asked . " Yep , cause all I did when I was fifteen and sixteen was listen to music and sleep . But I still got good grades . " I said . " Well , it looks like you and sean might be twins . But except he had kinda good grades . " he said . " Wow . " I said .
" Yeah , I'm still suprised he's in school . " he said . So me and ryan talked while he did my hair and makeup , after he got done I slipped on my silver heels and ryan helped me but on my sling .
When I was done , I walked out of the bathroom and I walked into my room . I looked at myself in the full length mirror , and I kinda smiled .

" I actually feel... beautiful for once in my life . " I said . " If I were zack , I'd say look beautiful everyday . But you do , and i'm not even zack . " ryan said . I turned to face him , and he smiled .
" How did you get so good at this? " I asked . " I always watched our mom do her hair and makeup , and I guess I learned a few things . " he said .
I walked up to him and hugged him with my left arm , he returned the hug . " Thanks ryan , your truly amazing . " I said . " Your welcome kristin , and thanks . " he said . " I'd hate to ruin this happy moment , but I'm afraid I'm gonna have to . It's time to go , the limo is here . " someone said .
Me and ryan let go and looked on my bed , there lied rui with such teasing eyes . He was wearing blue jean looking shirt , black jeans , his hat and jacket and his usual sneakers . Rui kinda blushed when he saw me , and I grinned . " Wow , I can even make the great rui blush . " I said . " It's time to go . " rui said again . " Okay , we'll be down in a minute . " ryan said . So rui transported out of my room , and it was just me and ryan .
" I wonder if he got zack ready . " ryan said . " Me too , but we better get going . " I said . " Yeah let's go . " he said . So we walked out of my room , walked down the hall and down the stairs . When we got downstairs , I saw rui and zack . Zack was wearing a tux , like in my dream . Okay , looks like this will be... interesting . Zeke comes in with reji and sean , okay looks like everyone is here .
Zeke rushed over to me and smiled , I smiled back . " You look pretty kristin! " zeke said happily . " Thanks zeke . " I said . " You do look very beautiful . " reji said . " She looks better then that . " rui said . I started to blush , and I looked at the floor avoiding they're gaze . I saw zack's feet fidgeting , I wonder why . " Well I wouldn't put it like that , besides I've still got a sling on . " I said . Zack's feet fidgeted even more , and I only got more curious .
" You sure you don't wanna go sean? There's gonna be music . " I asked .
" Yeah I'm just gonna stay here , besides the music the school provides at the dance doesn't suit my taste . " sean said . " Tch , sean you be always got to be picky with your music . " rui said . " Just leave him be , if he don't wanna go then he don't have to go . " ryan said . I looked to zack , and he was glaring at rui . " Zack don't give me that face , you have no chose but to go . I don't mean to force you , but you have to go whether you like it or not . " rui said .
Zack sighed and rui only laughed , and so we left and got in the limo . I sat next to ryan , and he kept a arm behind me . The ride to school was quite , no one said a word . But as the car drove , I could see the full moon through the stained glass . It was bright and clear , the stars were twinkling as well . Wow , how pretty .
The last time I saw it this pretty was the night before mom's death , me and her both happy cause she seemed to turn things around and make it happy .
* At school / already at dance *
We entered the gym , and there was a lot of people here . We stood there , but then zack walked off . " Zack don't leave me , I'm coming with you . " rui said as he followed him . I looked around , and I saw everything . There was ballons , streamers , confetti on the floor , lights , snacks and drinks , and music was playing . This looks fun , I wanna go dance . I looked to ryan , and he was looking away . " Ryan let's go dance . " I said happily . He turned his face to look at me , and he smiled .
So I grabbed his right wrist and led us to get floor , and just started dancing . But we ended up laughing , I don't know why , we just did . Then litzy and kayla found me , and we went to dance . I'm still with them right now .
" So kristin , I have the perfect place for your bachelorette party . Me and litzy already worked out the details . " kayla said . " Yeah , we even have a few invites made . They're at my house , I can bring them over to your house tomorrow if you want . " litzy said .
" Girls I haven't even fixed things with him yet , so calm down . " I said .
" You need to fix things with him , cause I want to be the maid of honor . " litzy said . " Yeah you need to fix things fast . " kayla said . " I agree with that girl for once . " litzy said .
" And I can't really do much , I'm still in a sling . And I still have to bandage my stomach , the bruise there isn't completely gone ." I said . " Sorry . " kayla said . " It's fine , it's just I was hoping to be out of my sling today . " I said .
* A few hours later *
I'm having so much fun! I hope tonight keeps being fun! I had danced a lot , which had burned off those calories I gained from eating a little bit from the provided food for us here . I had managed to bump into rui earlier , and I danced with him . I danced with ryan again , and then I danced with the girls a couple of more . I joked with them , we talked a bit , and we just had the rest of the time . I had left the gym and gone outside to get some air , I had told ryan to stay inside and to help rui watch zack .
And the girls just seemed to be doing they're own thing , so I didn't have to worry about them following me . I looked at the night sky , and I smiled as I looked at it . " It's been a few year now mom , and look at me now . I haven't fixed things yet , but I plan to so you can be there to see me be someone new . " I said . I felt a small breeze blow , and I knew it was mom's response . Mom has figured out ways to communicate with me , mostly through dreams .
I'm just glad I'm getting to see her , even though she's gone . " Talking to your mom? What happened to her? " someone asked . I turned around , and I saw kiyo kamui leaning against one of the schools brick walls . " What do you want kiyo? I just want to be left alone . " I said . " I want you of course , this should be easy for you to know . And why would I leave you alone? Your too weak to be left alone , you need someone to watch you . " he said .
" I've already got a protector , so that job is already taken . " I said irritatedly . This guy needs to leave me alone , I don't need to get in with him . " Are you talking about ryan d'angelo? He's nothing but just a useless and fake tough talker , I'm the real deal . " he said . " Ryan is not useless! He's better then the likes of you! " I shouted at him . Soon I found myself pinned to the wall , with kiyo looking right at me when his hands were pinning my left arm to the wall .
" I'm way better then all of those d'angelo's , they're not as special as you say they are . Cause last time I checked , they're nothing and i'm way better . " he said . " Your not better then any of them! You don't even know them like I do! If you did know them like I do , then you'd see how truly special they are! They are something , and they'd never ever be something they're not like you are! " I shouted . I managed to get my left hand free , and I punched him right in the face with as much force as I could manage .
He stumbled back , and he held his nose which seemed to be bleeding a bit . Once he regained his composure , he grabbed me and threw me to the concrete ground . I made impact with it , and it hurt worse then being burnt by a hot pan . Kiyo stood in front of me , looking at me with such lustful eyes . Oh sh*t , I did something alright . " I don't know why you hang with those fakers , they're nothing and I wouldn't ever want to know them . But I know one thing , I'm gonna make you mine . " he said .
I pulled me up , and he threw me at the wall . Okay , ow just ow . Why the hell am I always getting thrown?!
Kiyo stalked towards me , his footsteps growing louder with each step . It made my heart pound with fear , I'm so freaking scared right now . I should have brought ryan out with me! I wasn't using my head! But now I am! Just call out for help!
" Call out for the one you love . "
Someone's voice said in my head , that's mom! The one I love . The one I love , call him out for help . Zack , I love zack with all my heart . I love him , I love zack . " Zack! " I screamed out . Kiyo looked amused at this , but I just kept screaming for zack .
" It's useless screaming for that weak boy , that's all he is . He's weak , and that's all he'll ever be . " kiyo said .
I soon felt tears in my eyes , and they came rushing down my cheeks .
" No! It's not useless! Cause I love zack! I love him with all my heart! I love him even though I've said stupid things that made him mad! And that's something you don't understand! Cause I love zack! And I always will! " I shouted . Kiyo only laughed at this , and I felt like my confidence was taken away . But before he could do anything to me , he was punched and thrown to the ground . I looked , and it was zack .
Zack picked kiyo up by his shirt , and kiyo started to get scared . " Stay away from kristin , she's mine and will always be mine . Don't you ever touch her with your filthy hands , kristin is too pure to be touched by you . If I ever find you messing with my girl again , I will hunt you down and kill you until your writhing and wishing that you hadn't messed with her . " zack said angrily .
He dropped kiyo , and kiyo ran off to his car and drove away . I stood in my spot by the wall , I felt too scared to move . Never in my life have I seen zack get mad like that , it scares me to see him so angry that way . And to threaten kiyo like that , I think zack went a little overboard there . Zack turns his head to look at me , and his eyes turn to gentle ones . Those are the eyes I fell in love with , I missed them .
Zack walked over to me , and frowned when he saw the fear in my eyes . He started to walk away , but I knew I had to do something . This is the time I've been waiting for so long! This is it! I've got to tell him before it's too late! I grabbed his right hand with my left one , and he looks at me .
" Please... don't leave me again , I can't stand being alone without you . " I said .
I walked over to him , hugged him with my left arm . Zack was speechless , but I kept doing what I was doing . Soon enough he wrapped his arms around me , and I smiled with pure happiness . " Zack don't leave me alone , I'm so lonely without you . I miss you , and it hurts me to see you not by my side . " I said .
He didn't say anything , but I'm gonna keep talking . " I miss talking to you , I miss being in your arms , I miss your gentle voice when it's just you and me , I miss your touch , I miss how'd you tell me you wouldn't leave my side over and over , I miss laughing with you , I miss being goofy with you . But more importantly , I miss you . I miss you so much it hurts me zack . " I cried . Tears started to come down to my cheeks , and there was nothing I could do about it .
" It hurts me so much that I'm always blaming myself that I did something wrong , I kept telling myself that me getting hurt was a punishment for hurting you . I want you to be by my side and never leave it , I want to be with you . I'm sorry for saying those stupid things that mad you mad , cause i didn't realize that it was only hurting you even more . But I'm be with you , cause I love you . I love you so much zack , I really do . " I cried .
Zack was silent as sean , and it didn't suprise me . " I love you so much that I want to get married to you , I wanna start a family with you . And I want you to the first vampire to bite me , and the vampire to be my first kiss . I've saved those two first experiences of mine just for you zack , and I have another first experience of mine saved just for you too . " I said .
The crying was coming to a stop , but a few tears were still coming . And I couldn't help but let them slip , cause I didn't care . All I want zack back , and that's what I'm planning to do .
" Now if you'd please , just talk to me and tell me that you maybe feel the same . " I said .
Zack pulled me closer to him , and he held me tight .
" I do love you kristin , I just couldn't stand seeing you with my brother and them acting like your there's . Your mine , and only mine kristin . I made you make that promise , and that was my mark for all those years . And I'm taking back my job as your protector , ryan can go find another job . Cause I'm taking back my girl , and I plan to keep you cause I saw you first and you've always been mine with that mark . " he said .
He made me look at him , and he smiled at me with such a loving smile . He leaned in , and I closed my eyes . Zack then kissed me right then and there , underneath the beautiful night sky . Seconds and minutes passed as we continued , but since I'm human I had to pull back for oxygen . As I caught my breathe , he looked at me with such tender such gentle eyes .
I layed my head on his shoulder , and he buried his face in the crook of my neck . We stayed like that , holding onto each other . That was until two other vampires joined in and ruined the moment . " This is great , you and lil brother are back together . So the wedding is on! " rui said happily .
" He dragged me put here cause he couldn't find zack . " ryan said .
" Aw ryan don't be such a snitch . " rui said . " So is the wedding really back on? " ryan asked .
Me and zack looked at each other , and we smiled . Then we looked at the two standing before us . " Yeah , it's on . I do plan to make you guys uncles . " zack said . I blushed and looked away , the three laughed at this . " Not funny . " I said . " Now come on , I still haven't had a dance with my girl . Let's go back and have some fun . " zack said . So we all went back inside , me and zack got together and started dancing . " I love you zack . " I said .
