This sucked. Why do I have to be like I am? Why do I have to be such a screw-up? Why did my parents hate me so much? I sat on my cot, what a miserable excuse for a cot. I just got verbally and physically abused by a bunch of rude, ignorant 16 year old boys. Ugh, what a day. And now my foster mother is calling me. What does she want now? I think she is nice, better then some foster mothers I've heard of, but she is oblivious. She didn't even notice my black eye. I just want an actual family, nothing else. Someone to eat meals with, talk to, just to be there for me. Even when Mrs. Davison notices injuries, she says we are like siblings and siblings fight sometimes. Whatever. As I make my way down the stairs, I hear the boys laughing at something about me from their room. When I get to the kitchen I see something that makes me nearly faint. Why was Joe Trohman in Mrs. Davison's house while she was making mashed potatoes? I grin, and he grins back at me. I don't know what else to do. Mrs. Davison turns around.
"Oh, Gloria, you came down sooner than I expected. I would like you to meet a man who would like to adopt you soon. His name is Joe Trohman, he is in a band."
"I know. I will go pack my things."
That's all I could say. Nothing else, I was just so shocked. Why was a famous guitarist, from my favorite band, here to adopt someone, especially me? Whatever, I would pack things, and he said he would be back tomorrow. I am so excited, but so exhausted. I fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow and my blanket is over my body.
~Next Morning~
I had a dream last night. It was different. It wasn't like my normal ones, where there is a random family taking me to a mall. This time, it was someone who I could guarantee would be there for me, today. Someone I might be able to tour with someday, call my dad. It was very different, but in a good way. I was suddenly shaken awake by my roommate, Andrea. Andrea has been here 1 year longer than me. We are very close. She defends me when people pick on me, and that means a lot.
"Come on Gloria, Mr. Trohman is here," she said with a big grin.
"Ok, I'm getting up, I'm getting up."
I do a final check on all my things, especially my posters, and hug Andrea goodbye. I sure am gonna miss her. I make my way downstairs and am super excited to begin my new life.
It was a bit of a short chapter, but I had to finish it due to plans. I also noticed that it moves a bit fast. Just trying to get to points, maybe a bit too quickly. I will work on it.
