*3rd persons POV*

Looking down at the two bodies lying on the floor and sofa, Elena couldn't help but crumple to her knees.

"I can't!" She cried out, her friends watching her with no knowing on what to do.

Stefan and Caroline just stared as their best friend broke down.

A tear slid down Stefan's cheek as his eyes found the second body that was wrapped up in blankets that was placed in the middle of the floor.

Blonde hair was flowing out the blankets with just the side of Harri's face showing. Her skin pale, almost grey in colour with her eyes closed.

They had no idea where Damon had gone. As soon as he found out about Harri he just took off.

He didn't even want to believe it at first, but when he found himself next to Elena who was crumpled over Jeremy's body, he couldn't help but stare at the other lifeless body on the floor.

Harri just lay there, blood still slightly oozing out of the open bite mark on her neck but you could tell that wasn't the wound that she died from.

He knew that her neck was snapped just from the mere position that it lay in.

Listening hard, he knew his suspicions were correct since he couldn't hear any heart beats.

After that he just disappeared, muttering words about going to find Bonnie since she was no longer in the cave.

"What do I do?" Elena asked but not to anyone, to herself.

She couldn't handle the pain and suffering from losing yet another member of her family.

The only thing that came to mind was a switch.

The one tiny switch that could change everything.

So, she flipped it.

As she was on her knees, a few shaky breaths passed her lips before she stood up once again, moving to the fireplace and grabbing the box of matches.

The room still smelt of the alcohol that she had poured all over the two bodies.

It was their cover story.

Jeremy and Harri were just chilling and playing games when a fire started and they were caught in the flames.

It was the only one that she could think of that got rid of all the memories that were riddled with death that were connected to that house.

All the people she had lost were just echoing through the walls as she struck the match.

Stefan and Caroline just watched. They knew not to stop her. They knew she had no humanity.

With one final heard turn of the front room, Elena chucked the match onto where Jeremy lay on the sofa which caught light instantly.

With fast movements, all three of the vampires were out the house in a matter of seconds. They watched through the window as the glow from the fire grew brighter and brighter. After a few more moments they all went their separate ways.

Unknowing to them however, the bundle of blankets on the floor had moved just a fraction, before a girl sat up abruptly and gasped loudly.

Before she could even comprehend what had happened to her, the hot flames of the fire brushed against her skin which caused her to jump up immediately.

Grabbing one of the blankets she was wrapped up in, she charged out the house, knocking into everything she went past.

The smoke was stinging against her eyes and clogging up her breaths as she fell against the front door, scrambling for the handle to pull.

When her cold fingers managed to find the metal handle, she yanked the door towards her and stumbled out onto the front porch, not caring if she injured herself falling out.

The clean air that field her lungs was like pure bliss but it change the fact that smoke was already in her lungs.

Coughing and spluttering, she weakly pulled herself up with the blanket still covering her body.

As she sat on the wooden porch with the cold of the night creeping up onto her as the fire was keeping her hot, her mind when on a journey as to how she was still alive.

There was a slight sharp pain still lingering in her neck and when she brought her hand out to rub it, she was confused as to where the bite mark had gone as well. She was sure she remembered both Katherine and Silas feeding on her.

Did someone give her vampire blood?

All these questions buzzed through her mind but only one memory stuck.

Katherine killed Jeremy.

And she just sat by to the side next to Bonnie, helpless and terrified of what was going to happen to her.

A few tears began to build up in her eyes and she couldn't help but let them slide down her face.

One of her best friends were dead.

She lay there for a few minutes before a hankering feeling made itself known in her stomach and she had to sit up.

As she looked back into the house where the flames were still blazing brightly, she didn't realise how irritating the light was and she had to squint.

Harri staggered onto her feet and kept the blanket around her body as she began to shiver slightly.

She also couldn't shake the aching in her jaw which she guessed was from her neck being fed on.

Or it was her urges again. The urge to drink human blood from before. She had managed to control  and suppress the desire to drink blood but maybe from being around so much blood, she just couldn't hold it back anymore.

Glancing down the road, she didn't see any cars or people walking about. The only place she knew where to go was the Boarding House as she knew Damon would be there.

But another thing she didn't understand was why the house was on fire? And why there was no one around to put to out? Should she call a fire engine?

Patting around her pockets, she frowned as she couldn't feel her phone anywhere.

The shine of some headlights of a car caught her eye and she made her way into the middle of the road, waving her arms around to stop the moving car.

When the car braked and had fully stopped, Harri made her way to the drivers side of the car, hoping they would have a phone she could borrow.

The man wound down his window, his eyes darting from the burning house and to Harri who had dark patches trailing out of her nostrils from where she had inhaled the smoke.

"What the hell happened?" Were his first words, his worrying doubling for the stranger who had stopped his car.

Harry went to reply, to say how she just woke up inside and needed to borrow his phone but she couldn't.

She couldn't hear herself say that words.

All she could hear was a soft beating rhythm that soon enough overcame her senses.

But it wasn't just her ears, her eyes had now latched onto the mans neck where she could see the faintest of pulse, making his skin jump slightly.

She didn't know what was happening to her. But all she could think about was blood.

What made it more worrying was the thought of ripping her teeth into the mans neck and drinking his blood seemed so satisfying to her.

"Miss?" The man questioned as he just watched her staring at him.

This snapped Harri out of her daze and she shook her head slightly.

"Can I uh, use your phone please?" She requested softly, hoping this man would help her.

He nodded his head and reached into his pocket then stuck his hand out the window for her to take his phone.

Harri however, had a completely different mind take over her. As soon as the man presented his arm out to her, she couldn't help but stare at his wrist where she could once again hear the soft drumming of his heartbeat.

Like an animal instinct taking over her, she grabbed onto his wrist with two hands and clamped her teeth into his skin, breaking it and blood spilling out.

The man cursed a manor of words before trying to yank his arm away but he was surprised when his strength couldn't match hers.

He couldn't retreat himself back into the safety of his car which gave Harri the opportunity to take things further.

With the blood filling her senses and making her feel alive, she let go of his arm only to lunge forward into the car and sink her teeth into the mans neck who had no chance fighting against her.

What she didn't realise as she gulped down mouthful after mouthful of his blood was it was a lot easier to bite his neck than his wrist.

A sharp pain that erupted in her gums forced her to fall back from feeding off the man.

She traced her fingers over her gums only to find some pointed, razor sharp fangs new in her mouth.

Her eyes were frantically darting around as she couldn't understand what was happening to her.

She was absolutely certain that she didn't have any vampire blood given to her during the day so how could she have fangs?

And why was her craving for blood practically doubled.

When she snapped back to reality, she saw the man was rolling up his window and fumbling to start his car.

Oh god, this wasn't good. Her thoughts were clouded with confusion but she knew she couldn't let the man escape with his injuries and the fact that he knows what she looks like.

Using all her strength, she punched her arm through the glass of the window and grabbed onto his neck, slamming his face against the broken glass.

When the man eventually passed out, Harri opened the car door and the man instantly fell out and slumped onto the floor.

Realising how bad this would've looked to anyone who passed by, Harri pulled the blanket off her body and wrapped it round him.

She slammed the car door closed and pulled the man up by his arm, yanking his body over her shoulders in one swift movement.

All she could think of going was to the Boarding House as whenever the man woke up, he'd need to be healed and compelled.

The walk from Elena's to the Salvatore's felt a lot shorter than it usually was. Even with the weight of a full grown man on her shoulders didn't seem to halter her steps.

Even in the dark of the night, her eyes were not affected. She noticed every muddy patch on the road and puddle glistening in the moon light.

When the glowing windows of the Salvatore Boarding house came into view, Harri couldn't help but have a small smile pull up onto her lips.

Inside the building however, Stefan sat in his room with a glass of bourbon in his hand.

His mind still couldn't comprehend the events of the day.

Having to see Elena crumpled down next to the two dead bodies in the cave. Damon no where to be found.

Having to carry Harri's body over his shoulder and taking it on the boat with him back to Mystic Falls.

There was just a cloud of gloom on his head and the thought of Harri being dead made a tear roll down his cheek with his eyes glazed over.

He was so deep in his thoughts that he almost didn't hear the front door opening and closing.

His mind instantly assumed it was Damon so he downed his drink and vamp sped down to the front door.

The last thing he expected was Harri, holding a man over her shoulders with blood staining her mouth and top.

"What the hell is going on?" Stefan said, nothing but disbelief in his voice.

Harri let the mans body slump off her shoulders which landed with a thump on the floor.

"I uh, have no idea." Came Harri's small voice, her head looking down the man and her nose instantly picking up on the scent of his blood once again.

Its all she could smell on her little walk to here and it took every ounce of power in her body to not just drain his blood, kill him and dump his body.

She could still hear the soft beat of his heart and the blood pumping round his body.

She looked back up to Stefan who couldn't believe what he was seeing.

There were grey veins pulsing under her eyes which were now a blood red colour.

"You're a vampire."
