Minty was only 15. She sat in her room crying. She covered her ears trying not to hear the yelling between her mother and father. Father came home drunk. Mother got angry. She heard a glass break , a thumb and a door slam. She stood up and ran downstairs. She saw her mother on the floor. Blood oozing from her head. Glass was everywhere. Minty called 911. She checked her mothers pulse. It was getting weak. She was losing blood. Minty comfort her mother. "Please stay we me mom. I love you too much!" She whispered to her mother. "Sweetie...please s-stay safe.." Her mother saying her voice getting weak. Minty heard sirens. They rushed thru the door. Minty cried and hoped she was going to be okay. She went with them. Her mother was losing to much blood. The doctors tried so hard to make her stay alive...but she has lost to much blood and didn't make it. Her mothers last words were stay safe. She got a ride back home. She had school the next day. She needed to finish school for her mother. That was her dream and she will complete that dream for her mother. That day she swore to never talk at all.
