The day turned to night shortly after. The group was sneaking their way to Fairy Cottage. They hid behind trees and boulders as they got closer and closer to the cottage. Ben and Mal ran to the gate of the house first as they held hands and Mal's free hand was holding Hades' ember. Ben opened the metal gate. The couple looks behind to the others. Jay, Evie, Carlos, Priscilla, and Dude rushed their way to the Cottage right behind Mal and Ben. Priscilla looked behind her and Uma, Diana, and Harry got behind her
Ben began to walk towards the Fairy Cottage with everyone else behind. Ben burst into the house but found no one in sight. Everyone slowly got in. Jay rushed up the stairs. Priscilla looked around the small house that was very familiar to her, she walked up to the blue table to see if there was any difference as Jay came back down "She's not upstairs" He informed them
Priscilla lets out a sigh at the information. She turns around facing away from the table to face Ben. Suddenly there was banging on the closet door behind the young king causing him to turn around. Everyone got closer to the closet, Priscilla passed by everyone and got behind Ben. Ben looked through the window as he unlocked the door that was locked by a wooden plank
Ben opened up the door to reveal Chad seated on the floor hugging his knees as he visibly shook. Priscilla's eyebrows furrowed at the sight of Cinderella's son.
"Chad?" Both Priscilla and Ben called to the shaken-up Chad. Priscilla walked closer to the closet to get a better look at him
"I want my mommy," Chad spoke up, a small smile popped up on Priscilla's face. She went to help the poor boy but jumped away from her saying a "no" Priscilla backed up from Chad, raising her hands up as if she surrendered, she looked at Ben and slapped his arm, gesturing to him to help Chad instead. "It's okay," Ben told him as he listened to Pris and helped Chad get back up on his feet, Chad was looking at Ben strangely while getting up. "What happened, Buddy?" Ben asked him, Chad didn't Answer him as he looked at everyone in the room, Priscilla gave him a little wave when he looked at her
Chad let out a confused hum as he stood up straight not seeing a threat, or more specifically Audrey in sight. He looks back at Ben, "Ben. Ben!" He grabbed Ben by his jacket getting closer to Ben's face. He looks at his beard, slightly touching it "Your face" He says, he looks at Mal then at Priscilla "She's gone? Huh?" Priscilla raised an eyebrow at him. Chad looks at the front door seeing that it was open "The door is open. I'm free. Freedom! Oh!" Chad yelled as he ran past everyone to the door still yelling out "Freedom!"
Priscilla placed her hand on her mouth, watching Chad run out as Ben pointed to the door. He walks by Harry who starts to laugh at Chad. He went to close the closet door as everyone walked out of Fairy Cottage. Priscilla dropped her hand from her face and walked towards Carlos to grab his hand as they walked out of the cottage together
Carlos' arms were wrapped around Priscilla's shoulders as they walked behind Harry and Jay. "Ooh. Alright. Let's get this Audrey chick taken care of already "Uma huffed as she walked beside Mal. Mal let out a laugh "What do you say, girls? Time to wrap things up?" Uma asks she looks at Mal, Mal looks back at her, and the two fist bump
Ben wrapped his arm around Mal's shoulders as he looked over at Uma "You know, someday, you're gonna tell me how you guys all got teamed up" He said to both Uma and Mal. He glanced at Celia as Evie spoke up getting Ben's attention "Actually, Mal promised to let all the kids off the Isle once this is over"
"Mal?" Ben looked at her. Mal was looking at the ground before she spoke up, "I have to tell you guys something" She said making everyone stop walking and stare at her. Mal walked slightly ahead, seeming like she overthought her decision "Um..." She breathed in before turning around to face everyone "I lied to you" She told them truthfully. Evie looked at her confused, ticking her head to the side as the rest stared at Mal blankly
Mal opened her mouth but nothing came out as she tried to explain herself, She tried again. "The kids won't be coming off the Isle" She explained. Carlos looked over at Jay and then toward Priscilla, Priscilla didn't dare to look back at him as she crossed her arms
"What do you mean?" Jay asked Mal, confused. Priscilla looked in between Mal and Ben. "The program is shut down and the barrier..." Mal paused for a second "Will
be closed for good" Priscilla looked over at Harry hearing him let out a grunt and wrap his fist tightly around his hook and point his fist toward Mal
"For Auradon's Safety," Ben added, not making it better for both him and Mal. Harry lets out a huff of disbelief as Uma steps towards Mal "Hold up" She says "So we're saving your precious people and your behinds for a lie" She points towards the others and then looks back at Mal. Mal didn't know what to say to Uma. Uma shook her head looking at the ground "I knew it was a mistake to trust you" She looked at Mal "You're always out for yourself"
Harry walked towards Ben, "And you, King Benny..." Harry got close enough to Ben to stand face-to-face with him. He lets out a sigh "You're probably just gonna throw us all back inside" He said softly. Both Ben and Mal move their gaze to Priscilla who had her arms crossed and was biting her nails. Their gaze caused everyone to look at her as well. Priscilla looked at them all, especially Dianas. Diana walked up to Priscilla "You knew?" She asked, disappointed, talking about the barrier closing for good. Priscilla was quick to defend herself. She points a finger at Diana "No" then to Mal "No" then finally at Ben "No"
"I told you it was a bad idea to close the barrier for good to begin with" Her finger continued to be pointed at Ben, she looked in between him and Mal "and you guys decided to ignore me anyway" Priscilla let her hand down and hit the side of her thigh "I'm your royal adviser for a reason, Ben. If you're not gonna take my advice seriously then why do I have this position?" She slowly walked backward as she shook her head at the king. She stood in between Evie and Carlos, crossing her arms once again
Now it was Celia to walk towards Mal "You know what?" She began tears slowly falling down her face "I actually thought you were brave. You're nothing but a chicken. Too scared to tell me I was never gonna see my dad again"
"Celia" Mal tilts her head to the side, looking at her sadly. Celia snatched the ember out of Mal's hand. Mal began calling out her name as Celia walked towards the bird bath and threw the ember in it making Mel yell out a "No!" as Evie called out for the young girl who walked away from the group
"No! no" Mal grabbed the wet ember from the water.
"Regain your might and ignite!" Mai tried getting the ember to work again by saying some spell. Mal let out a desperate "No..." and turned around, she tried once again "Regain your might and ignite!" She points the ember at Uma for help, Harry walking up behind his captain. Uma grabs her shell necklace, looking down at it. She looked back up at Mal and let it fall back down "Bummer" She simply stated, "Let's go find Gil and leave them all to rot" She told Harry and Diana, her eyes still on Mal. The three pirates walked away, Diana gave Priscilla one last glance before following Uma
"No" Mal's voice was quiet, her eyes following the pirates "Uma" She tried calling for the girl but Uma didn't look back at her once. Priscilla watched Evie walking slowly to Mal as said girl turned back around "Evie..." Mal tried, looking at her best friend desperately "I'm so sorry. I'm sorry, I just... I thought that..." Mal apologized, trying to explain to Evie "I was afraid to tell you. I thought I was gonna lose my best friend but I had to do something. I had to protect Auradon"
Evie points her finger toward the forest, "Closing the barrier was your idea?" She asked, betrayed
"I did it for us" Mal explained, Jay and Carlos looked at each other as Priscilla still had her arms crossed and har her eyes on the ground "I did it for our life that we have here now"
"For our life?" Evie repeated Mal's words, pointing at herself. She waved her hand to the side "What about the kids that we left behind on that island?" She asked sadly, her voice raspy "The kids we promised? We were their only hope" Evie pointed her finger at her chest again and shook her head as she spoke. Then she points towards Mal "I thought you were gonna stand up for the Vks... But instead, you lied to them"
"And you lied to Jay," She points at Jay without looking behind her "And you lied to Carlos" She points at Carlos. Priscilla gave him a quick glance before looking away and back to the ground. Evie points at herself "And you lied to me" Evie's voice going quieter. Mal let out a few quiet sobs as she held her tears from falling "We're your family"
Mal called Evie's name desperately as Evie raised her hands up and walked away from Mal and back to the group. "Evie, come on. I had no choice!" She calls out. Suddenly thunder was heard and a bright light blinded both Mal and Priscilla making them cover their face. Priscilla was the first to put down her hands and saw everyone but Mal had turned to Stone "No!" Priscilla cried out, kneeling down to Carlos. Her hands touched his stoned face, her hands shaking visibly, she looked down at Dude as well. She then looks at everyone else and her eyes finally land on Mal, who lets out a sobbed "No" at the sight of her friends
Betrayal 1
Priscilla drops her hand from Carlos' face as she stands back up staring right at Mal. "Now look what you've done," Priscilla said, her voice almost emotionless, there was still a hint of sadness and anger. Mal stayed quiet as she watched Priscilla
Priscilla looked away from Mal. She looks down at the ground, her eyes catching Carlos' stoned body. A tear fell down her face but Priscilla was quick to wipe it away as she looked back at Mal, slowly walking towards her. "Aren't queens supposed to help their kingdom? Not destroy it and be so selfish, Mal" Priscilla began as she reached in front of the purplenette
"Pris-" Mal tried to reach for the princess but Priscilla moved back and held a finger up. "No" Priscilla shook her head, a sob almost came out from her but she held it in "No," She said it once again, "I just wish you and Ben would have listened to me or else we would have been done with this mess my sister had caused"
With that, Priscilla walked around Mal and made her way to where Celia and the three pirates had gone to get out of the forest. The girl heard Mal call out for her but Cilla ignored her. Once she was far enough from Mal, she let out the first sob that she had been holding, the back of her hand was on her mouth and she let some tears fall down her face
Wiping her face, she walked towards the nearest tree. She leaned against the tree and slid down to the ground and hugged her knees close to her chest, her head leaning back to the tree trunk behind her. "I've seen dark before but not like this" Priscilla began, she closed her eyes, "This is cold. This is empty. This is numb" Her voice was in a quiet tone. "The life I knew is over. The lights are out. Hello, darkness, I'm ready to succumb. I follow you around, I always have, but you've gone to a place I cannot find"
Priscilla opened her eyes again and let go of her legs.
'This grief has a gravity, it pulls me down" She lets out a few shuddered breaths, tears filling up in her eyes. "But a tiny voice whispers in my mind "You are lost. Hope is gone. But you must go on and do the next right thing" A single tear fell out from her left eye. She looks up to the night sky through the trees around her
Breathing in, Priscilla moved from her seated position and got on all fours "Can there be a day beyond this night? I don't know anymore what is true. I can't find my direction, I'm all alone. The only star that guided me was you" Priscilla removed her hands from the ground and stayed on her knees
Priscilla tried to reach for the tree behind her to stabilize herself as she stood up to her feet. "How to rise from the floor when it's not you I'm rising for? Just do the next right thing" Priscilla took a step "Take Step. Step again. It is all that I can to do" Priscilla began to walk forward, almost out of the forest "The next right thing"
She made it out and looked around the big opening "I won't look too far ahead. It's too much for me to take but break it down to this next breath. This next Step. This next choice is one I can make!" She saw Mal with Uma, Harry, and Diana, trying to convince them to help her. Looking away from the four she began to walk again
"So I'll walk through this night stumbling blindly towards the light and do the next right thing. And with the dawn what comes then?" She spins around raising her arms up then letting them go back down "When it's clear that everything will never be the same again?"
Priscilla took a deep breath in as she stopped spinning.
"Then I'll make the choice to hear that voice and do the next right thing" Suddenly a pink light appeared behind her, Priscilla curiously turned around and all of a sudden it was like she couldn't control her own body
