I roll over in my sleep until the realisation hit me, I have to get up and get ready, I groan and open my eyes, I reach over to grab my phone from the bedside table, I turn it on to see that it's two pm. shit
I immediately jump out my bed, still half asleep, we're leaving in two hours and I'm only getting out of bed now, great
I walk over to my bathroom and get ready, I put on a pair of jeans and a back crop top, I grab a white jacket just incase I get cold,
I unlock my phone to see multiple missed calls from matt, chris and nick, what the fuck
i call nick back and he picked up straight away, "Jade what the fuck are you doing???" he asked, my phone is on speaker now as I'm straightening my hair, "I'm straightening my hair?" I answered confused
"well there was some miscommunication apparently, we're leaving in ten minutes to pick you up, chris told us the flight was at 6 but it's at 4 plus we have to do check in and all that" Nick said slightly annoyed, you can hear chris murmur something in the background but it wasn't audible
"how the fuck does one mix up times?" I asked in shock, we shouldn't have trusted chris with the bookings, I fucking knew he'd mess up something
I continue speaking, "you know what, it's all right, I'm ready anyways" i said while still straightening my hair
"okay we'll pick you up soon" Nick said before he hung up
I'm sitting in my living room, scrolling on my Instagram waiting for the triplets to pick me up, I've reposted and liked a few edits of myself before I hear the car honking
I get up and shove my phone in my pocket, my suitcase and bag were beside the door, I grabbed my stuff and walked out, I lock the door behind me and start walking down my driveway towards matts car,
just thinking about going on vacation with him makes me want to shove my thumbs into my eyeballs, but if he stays out my way, then I'll do the same
as I'm about to reach the car, chris got out and walked to the trunk of the car, he opened it
"why aren't you such a gentle man" I said sarcastically while handing him my suitcase and bag, "I'm just too nice for society" he said while loading my suitcase in the back, I smiled at him and walked to towards the back door, I sat in beside nick, behind chris's seat,
chris came back into the car a few seconds after me, "okay let's hit the road babyy" he said making everyone cringe, nick had a look of disgust on his face, he reached out to grab Chris's shoulder, "ew don't ever say that again or I'll hit you instead of the road"
that made everyone burst out into laughter, i grabbed onto nicks arm while laughing, I accidentally glanced at matt and he was already looking at me, still laughing, I quickly looked away
after everyone died down from laughing matt started the car and began to drive, "any song recommendations?" matt asked while looking into the rear mirror, we made eye contact for a split second before his eyes shifted towards nick, "not from you jade, your taste is shit" he said again before looking back at the road,
"I have GREAT music taste excuse me" I said offended, my mouth slightly hanging open, Nick jumped into my defence, "I rather listen to jades playlist than yours matt" nick said while shoving himself to the middle of the seat so he could death glare matt
matt looked back at nick for a second, "can you stop staring at me like that, it's weird" he murmured
"you know what's weird? you" Nick said before sitting back in his seat,
chris started laughing and grabbed matts bicep, "your my weirdo matty bear" he said giggling, matt slightly looked at chris and started smiling
"your weird man" he said while shaking his head
Nick jumped in his seat with his phone in his hand,
"OH MY GOD. put on save your tears" he said like more of a demand, "that's something Jade would listen to" matt said with no tone, how would he know what I listen to, the man never lets me put on songs,
"okay and? It's the weeknd, who doesn't listen to the weeknd?" I said defensively, I could see matt roll his eyes through the rear mirror, "fine whatever" he said giving his phone to chris so he can connect to the speaker
the songs starts playing and me and nick both look at each other, "AYYYYYY" he screamed,
me and nick started singing along to the song, we both started using our phones as "microphones",
as we're singing along to other songs I can feel someone stare at me so I look at the rear mirror, matt was staring at me, I can't read his eyes, he quickly looked back the road once he got caught, I shrugged it off and continued singing to the songs that were on my playlist, bet matt didn't know that chris put on my playlist
we finally arrived at the airport, matt found a free space and parked, chris groaned and immediately got out the car, I also got out the car, we both started stretching our legs
"I fucking hate airports" he said while still stretching his legs, "same" I said groaning from my legs going numb
matt and nick both got out the car now and walked to the trunk of the car, matt opened it and started taking out all the suitcases, once he got to mine he groaned at the weight of it, "woman what did you put in your fucking suitcase? bricks?" he placed it on the ground before closing the trunk,
I walked over to grab my suitcase, "yeah, so I can secretly murder you in your sleep" I said giving him an annoyed smile,
matt rolled his eyes and walked back over to lock the car, chris stood there looking at me, "do you actually ha-"
"NO SHE DOESNT" Nick screamed at him not letting him finish his sentence once again, chris put up his hands in defence, "just making sure" he said
I started laughing and shaking my head at him, fucking stupid
we all finished checking in, security was next, I placed my bag, phone and AirPods on the tray then moved it to the belt, Nick was behind me and started loading his stuff onto his tray, the security officer waved me to walk through the metal detector, I walked through and the light started flashing red,
the woman told me to stand aside while the triplets walked through it, they started grabbing their stuff out of the trays while I was held back
"honey I'm just going to pat you down okay?" the woman asked, I nodded "yeah okay" I said softly,
she patted me down, after she was done she smiled at me and let me off, I walked over to my tray to get my bag and other stuff, "she definitely tried smuggling in cocaine" chris said to matt, both nick and Matt just stared at each other, I look back at chris, "it's a metal detector dingus"
Chris looked at me confused, "wait so I can shove coke up my ass and get away with it?" he asked with genuine curiosity, I played the tray on a bunch of other trays and started walking, "maybe try that next time" I said
