Being betrayed is one of the most disgusting experiences anyone could experience.

It's like a pain that eats you from the inside, feeding little by little on your emotional state.

Despite knowing that it would come, it still manages to catch you off guard, hitting you with all its might.

In short, betrayal sucked

The situation Nathan was involved in sucked. He had just witnessed how one of his closest friends murdered the other two.

And he knew he would be next.

"What's the problem, Nate? The cat got your tongue?" Liam asked keeping a creepy smile on his face.

After saying this, he started to walk towards Nathan as if he planned to go around him.

"...Yeah, more or less." He responded hiding his fear, now both walking in circles.

He could have tried to get out of the room and run away, but he didn't plan on giving him the chance to attack him with his back to him.

The option of facing him in a one on one matchup seemed like the best option.

He had already fought twice against two Ghostfaces. He was confident that he could beat Liam by being just one.

"I have a question for you, who do you think the other one is?" Liam asked, stopping once his back was to the door, leaving Nathan with the corpses of his friends behind him.

"What are you taking about?" He asked without taking his eyes off the knife that his former friend was holding.

He wasn't going to give him a chance to distract him with conversation so he could take him by surprise and attack him.

"Who do you think is the third Ghostface?" He clarified shrugging his shoulders in a relaxed attitude, as if he hadn't just slit two people's throats.

He was the one who called Nathan on his phone when he was on his way to Amber's house, but it wasn't him who called him when he was still in the hospital.

Whoever did so informed his companions that Nathan was aware of the existence of three Ghostfaces, but still didn't know there were actually four.

"Let me give you a little hint." He said before pointing behind Nathan. "He's pointing a gun at you right now."

Nathan gave him a confused look, not understanding what he was saying.

Was someone pointing a gun at him? That was impossible. There was no one else in the room apart from them.

"What is he talking about? We're the only-" His thoughts stopped as the reality of the situation hit him.

He looked over his shoulder and could swear his heart stop beating at the sight he saw.

William's corpse was still on the ground with a small pool of blood forming under his neck.

But Noah was on his feet holding a gun in his hand, keeping a look he did never seen on him before.

It wasn't like Liam's look, who seemed to enjoy what was happening, but more of a calculating look, as if he was ready to do whatever it takes to achieve his goal.

"Surprise~." Liam crooned, enjoying the look on Nathan's face.

With the four teenagers still in the room, Liam realized that Nathan was planning to leave the room.

He looked at Noah, who also saw this, and they both nodded to each other.

Being between William and Noah, Liam took advantage of the fact that the black haired teen continued to look at Chad's corpse in the backyard to sneakily remove a knife from his pocket.

Without giving him a chance to react, he raised his arm and stabbed into his neck from the left side, causing the tip of the knife to protrude from the right side.

Once the knife was removed from his neck, William held it with both hands as his blood fell uncontrollably.

He turned to walk towards Nathan for help, but Noah grabbed his neck to stop him.

He tried to free himself, but he had no strength and could only hold onto Noah's wrists until he finally died.

Noah dropped it and, seeing his hands covered in blood, grabbed his own neck, pretending that he too had been attacked.

That was the moment Nathan turned, seeing William's corpse on the ground and Noah falling to his knees before collapsing as well.

"I know Amber already said it, but I really want to. So..." Liam said with a relaxed attitude following the plan they had just thrown together. "...welcome to act three, Nate."

"Oh, I see." He commented monotonously upon discovering the identity of another of the murderers.

That was enough for him to put the pieces together, finally managing to understand everything. Or so he thought.

Based on his theory about his heights, he could identify who he had faced and at what time.

Noah and Liam were the ones who attacked him two days ago that night on the highway. He supposed that after that they went to William's house as Noah had told him in his message.

And that was exactly what happened. After the attack, they both went to the ravenette's house, arriving twenty minutes apart so that no one would know that they were together before that.

They did this because they believed that Nathan would talk to the police about the attack like anyone with common sense would. So both they and their accomplices couldn't help but be surprised when the police classified the crime as an attempted robbery instead of an attempted murder.

Another conclusion Nathan was able to come to was that Liam and Amber were the two Ghostface he confronted at the hospital.

He didn't know why Noah wasn't with them. They definitely would have achieved their goal if that was the case.

He also came to the conclusion that Amber was the one who attacked Tara the night she was attacked, since Noah and Liam were busy with him. Also, Amber herself said it while on the phone with Sam during the attack at the hospital.

What he didn't know was that shortly before the attack at the hospital, Noah and the fourth Ghostface, whose identity he still didn't know, murdered Wes and Judy.

Liam confirmed that he was the one who called him when he was on his way to Amber's house while Noah was the one who called him when he was still in the hospital. But he didn't know the latter, since he didn't know if it was Amber or Noah who called him.

Lastly, the Ghostface that attacked Chad and left his dying body in the backyard of the house they were in was Noah. Although Nathan didn't know this either.

But none of that mattered now. Not when there was a gun pointed directly at his head.

"It would have been nice if you stayed dead." Nathan commented raising his hands.

Now there was nothing he could do. He wasn't faster than a bullet. He had no chance of winning this, so he simply surrendered.

The only good thing about all this was that he already knew who the Ghostfaces that were attacking them were. Or at least that's what he thought, since he wasn't yet aware that it really was four murderers.

"Too bad for you that that's not the case." Noah said with nothing but seriousness in his voice.

He couldn't help but find it strange to see him act in such a threatening manner. It was the complete opposite of the protective older brother aura he usually gave off.

"Why didn't you use the gun from the start instead of playing dead?" He asked trying to stay calm.

He'd be lying if he said he wasn't afraid. He was locked in a room with two assassins, and they were both armed.

The only thing that reassured him was the fact that if they wanted him dead, he would already be dead.

"I didn't want to risk you starting a fight. We'd lose valuable time taking you down, so I thought this would work better." He responded by pointing at his gun with his eyes.

Said weapon was a revolver with a capacity of six bullets that belonged to his father.

He took it without my noticing and planned to return it to its respective place after tonight.

He hoped his father wouldn't notice his absence, but if he did, he would simply say that he took it with him to protect himself from Ghostface in the unlikely event that he found it. Although of course, that was impossible.

"And couldn't you bother to tell me your plan?" Liam asked still behind Nathan. "Do you know how hard it was to improvise?"

"Don't exaggerate." Noah said without giving importance to his tantrum.

"Agh. Fine, it wasn't that hard." He admitted after letting out a grunt of dissatisfaction. "But still-"

He was interrupted when three shots echoed through the house.

Nathan instinctively tensed when he believed that Noah had been the one who fired the shot, but he calmed down when he saw that it was not.

Although, if he knew that one of those shots was directed at his mother, who at that moment was with Sidney outside the house, his reaction would have been much worse.

"Should we worry about that?" Liam asked with a nonchalant attitude as he pointed to the door.

"Maybe." Noah answered without taking his eyes off Nathan.

He knew him too well, and knew that he was waiting for the perfect opportunity to turn the tables. He wouldn't let him do it.

"Go see what's going on. I'll stay with him." He said referring to his hostage.

"Yes dad." He exclaimed in a bored way and then walked towards the door with the intention of leaving the room, but stopped when he heard the following.

"Whoever is hiding, killer or not, has five seconds to come out!" They heard someone yell from outside the room.

Despite the fact that the source of the sound was a bit far away, Nathan was able to recognize the voice as Sidney's.

He didn't know what she was doing there. They probably forced her to go just like they did with him.

Although that stopped mattering when another thought crossed his mind.

"Wait a second. Wasn't she with mom?" He thought now a little worried.

Did they lie to him when they said they were just going to eat something? Did they go looking for the murderers? Was his mother here too?

"That's not very convincing." Liam commented before hearing another shot coming from the first floor of the house. "And that doesn't help."

"Move away from the door." Noah ordered his partner. "And you, don't even think about doing anything." He added now talking to Nathan.

Liam stood to the side of the door with the hand holding the knife raised, ready to attack whoever entered the room.

They heard a thud in another of the rooms on the second floor.

The three of them ignored it, but Sidney didn't and started up the stairs.

They could hear how the woman was talking on the phone with one of the Ghostfaces while she was hanging around the house.

Unexpectedly, a bullet tore through the bedroom door, passing just a few inches from Nathan.

The three of them gave a little jump, not expecting that, but they quickly regained their composure.

Believing there was no one inside the room, Sidney continued walking through the house looking for the Ghostface she was talking to.

"You are disappointing me, Sidney." Nathan thought as he heard her walk away.

Did she really consider the room empty simply because no one screamed when she fired? She didn't think about the possibility that maybe someone was there, but she just failed?

There wouldn't be much she could do if she walked into the room anyway. In fact, she might have died.

One more shot echoed through the house and then another, this one accompanied by a cry of pain.

The scream was male, and there was only one other man in the house other than one of them, Richie.

Liam and Noah exchanged glances, silently debating what to do next.

On the other hand, Nathan had his attention on the lifeless body of his friend.

It hurt. The fact that he had been only a few steps away from him and had done nothing to save him was torture.

Both were quiet people who sought to have an ordinary lifestyle, without standing out from the rest.

That was what made them hit it off so well. They could be alone in a room in complete silence and it would not be uncomfortable, but relaxing.

He knew Liam was the one who killed him as he was the one holding the blood covered knife, and now he just wanted to beat him to death.

The three of them were pulled out of their thoughts when they heard a fight taking place in the corridor outside the room.

Noah nodded for Liam to go help, since it was more than obvious that one of the two people fighting was one of their teammates.

Liam opened the bedroom door just to see Sidney and Amber disguised as Ghostface fall from the second floor.

"Ouch." He commented to himself before Richie came to his side limping from the wound on his leg.

"The gun! Richie! Take it!" Sidney screamed, still on the ground due to the strong blow she received when she fell to the ground.

"Yeah. It's difficult since you shot me in the leg." He said going down the stairs holding on to the railing of it.

Liam followed in a relaxed manner. After all, Amber and Richie were his partners. And only Sidney was in there besides them. He saw no reason to maintain his alibi.

Still shaken from the fall, Amber tried to grab the gun that Sidney dropped when they both fell from the second floor.

Before she could reach it, Sam appeared and took it in her hands, taking a few steps back and pointing it at her.

Seeing this, Liam held his knife behind his back so it wouldn't be visible to her while Richie, seeing the situation Amber was in, hurried down the stairs.

"Yes! Yes!" Richie celebrated still maintaining his alibi.

After all, he needed to get close to Sam so he could take the gun from her.

"Shoot him!" Sidney prompted still on the ground seeing that Sam had the gun.

"Thank God you're okay." Richie said with false relief in his voice as he reached Sam's side.

Still on the stairs, Liam watched as his partner pulled a small knife from one of his pockets and stabbed Sam in the abdomen.

Was it strange that it gave him satisfaction to see her face of surprise and horror at being betrayed by her boyfriend? No, probably not considerating the things he did.

"Because I really... really want to be the one to kill you." Richie confessed before taking the gun from her and using it to point it at Sidney, who was trying to get up. "Sit the fuck down, Prescott!"

Following this, he returned his attention to Sam and twisted the knife, causing her to let out a small cry of pain and fall to her knees, Richie doing the same.

Liam finished walking down the stairs, finally dropping his alibi as Amber stood up and removed her Ghostface mask.

"Noah, you can come down now!" Liam yelled loud enough for his friend to hear.

Seconds later, Nathan left the room and started down the stairs with his hands raised.

The wound on his leg ached a little, but he ignored it. Earlier, when they ran away from Amber, none of his wounds ached from the adrenaline rush. But now they did.

Noah followed him, still pointing the gun at him. Although, he made sure to stay far enough away that his hostage wouldn't be able to take the gun from him.

"Did everything went okay?" Noah asked as Richie handed Sidney's gun to Amber.

"More than okay." Replied the ravenette girl, taking the gun and pointing it at Sidney while firmly holding her hair.

"So there's four of you, huh?" Nathan asked no one specifically.

His voice caught Sidney's attention, who wondered what he was doing there. She didn't want to imagine how Gale would react when she found out. If she lived to do it.

"Bingo~." Liam exclaimed with mockery in his voice and pointing his knife at him.

"I can't believe this worked." Richie said to Sam showing her Tara's inhaler and tossing it back.

This made Nathan remember that Tara had been left alone with Amber, but she was nowhere to be seen and he didn't know if that was a good thing or not.

"I know. It's a bummer it's me." Richie said taking out a small device from one of his pockets. "𝙱𝚞𝚝 𝚒𝚝 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚋𝚎𝚜𝚝 𝚌𝚑𝚘𝚒𝚌𝚎 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚖𝚘𝚟𝚒𝚎."

"Movie?" Nathan asked himself as he watched Richie laugh.

"This isn't a fucking movie!" Sam yelled as she was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of emotions she experienced in this short amount of time.

"No. But it will be." He said in a low tone before turning to his companions. "That's the point, right guys?"

"Right, hon! Third act bloodbath, check. Killers revealed, check. Time for the big finale!" She exclaimed ecstatically, finding the situation hilarious.

"Scary." Liam muttered looking at her.

"Richie..." Sam whispered pleadingly.

She was afraid. There were four assassins in the room and they had all the weapons.

She honestly didn't think they were going to get out of there alive.

"Shh, shh." Richie soothed her before pulling the knife from her abdomen abruptly, causing Sam to let out a groan of pain as she hunched over. "It's okay. It's okay."

"Let's take them to the kitchen." Amber said, forcing Sidney to her feet. "Let's go, bitch!"

"You too." Noah ordered Nathan.

With no other choice, he followed Amber into the kitchen with Noah and Liam at his back and Sam and Richie behind them.

Once there, Amber pushed Sidney into the kitchen and walked away with Liam coming up beside her.

Nathan tried to stand next to Sidney, but Noah grabbed him by his clothes and made him end up at the other end of the kitchen.

If they were next to each other they could come up with a plan to take them by surprise and attack them.

He knew that it was almost impossible for that to happen. There were only three of them and one of them was injured. But he was not going to underestimate them.

"Someone has to save the franchise! Nobody made a great 'Stab' movie since the first one." Richie said coming into the kitchen with Sam. "Not really."

Once there, he pushed her somewhat roughly in the direction of the kitchen. If it wasn't for Nathan catching her, she definitely would have fallen to the ground.

Sam clung to him to help herself stay on her feet due to the pain she felt from the wound in her abdomen.

"Hey baby, do you want to bring the nearly extinct Mrs. Riley?" Richie's question to Amber caused the gears in Nathan's head to stop working.

His mother was there.

He knew it was a possibility, but the act of confirming it made it a reality. A reality that terrified him.

"Yeah, I do." Amber replied before leaving the kitchen.

"Hey, what happened to William?" The eldest asked his two remaining accomplices.

"I killed him." Liam replied like it was nothing important, making Nathan anger to rise.

Sidney noticed that Noah was keeping his attention solely on Nathan. Richie and Liam were momentarily distracted by their conversation. Distraction that she tried to take advantage of to get hold of a knife lying near her.

"Ehem!" Liam exclaimed, pointing his knife at her when he realized her attempt, causing her to stop. "That was rude."

"Sidney Prescott." Richie said walking up to her with a smile on his face. "You know, I'm a really big fan."

"Go fuck yourself." She exclaimed with a frown.

"Did you see the last 'Stab' movie?" He asked now in a serious manner.

None of the three hostages understood why he was mentioning the 'Stab' movies so much, but soon they would.

"I don't like scary movies." She said without being able to help feeling somewhat intimidated by his sudden seriousness, although she didn't show it.

"That checks out. Anyway, it sucked. Because nobody takes real fans seriously. Not really. They just laugh at us. And why!?" His voice rose from one moment to the next, remembering how 'Stab' fans were judged. "Because we love something!? Are we a fucking joke to them!?"

"I hope this is a joke." Nathan whispered unconsciously, although only Sam could hear him as she was being held by him.

They may have had their differences, but they both agreed on one thing, this whole thing was bullshit.

"How can a fandom be toxic? It's based on love! They don't understand that those damn movies are important to many." He explained really believing that he was right about what he said, and that made him even more dangerous than he already was.

Liam was deeply listening what Richie was saying, not because he was in line with his ideals, but because he found it amusing.

Nathan wanted to take advantage of the fact that they were both distracted to attack Richie and take the gun from him, but Noah wouldn't take his eyes off him.

"Richie..." Sam muttered, unable to recognize the man who was her boyfriend.

"But we will help them!" He assured pointing the gun at her before returning his attention to Sidney. "Hollywood's out of ideas, so we're going to give them new material to use. You know, go back to basics. That's how you make a great 'Stab' movie, Sam." He said pointing the gun at him again. "Based on actual events."

Amber returned to the room bringing Gale with her, who was bleeding from her abdomen from the shot the black haired teen gave her.

Sidney tried to get close to her friend, but Richie stopped her by threatening her with his gun.

Amber led the eldest to a chair and Liam jokingly held it by the back and arranged it for her to sit before the his accomplice forced her to do it.

Gale raised her head, intending to see the full picture of the situation they were in. But once she did, she wished she hadn't.

Her gaze and Nathan's met and they both felt the same. Fear. But not for themselves, but for the other.

Gale didn't understand how Nathan was there. It was imposible for her to believe that he had risked leaving Dewey alone knowing that they might try to kill him in his vulnerable state.

She could only assume that the killers had found a way to get him to go there.

Nathan wanted to go to his mother and help her seeing that even walking was painful for her, but he couldn't do it with Noah pointing his gun at him.

Although, it was at that precise moment that he understood something that made all his hatred focus on Amber.

Liam and Noah were with him when they heard the shots and Richie was hiding in another room near the one they were in.

The only one who could have shot Gale was Amber. And not only that, but she was also the one who almost murdered Dewey.

He knew they were all guilty, but she was the one who directly attempted to kill his parents.

She was also the one who attacked Tara at her home and then tried to kill her at the hospital. And he still didn't know what she did with her when they were alone.

Basically, Amber had been the one who hurt the three most important people in his life.

If he was going to die tonight, he would make sure he take her with him.

Sure, he would try to kill them all, but she would be his main target.

He didn't know if he was mentally prepared to take a life, but he knew that when the time came, he couldn't afford to hesitate.
