Lizzie stirred from her slumber, her senses awakening to the faint sound of music that wafted down the hall. Intrigued and slightly disoriented, the blonde rose from her bed, embarking on a mission to locate her missing girlfriend and investigate the source of the enchanting melodies.
As she followed the melodic trail, Lizzie instantly recognized the beautiful piece being played—Nuvole Bianche. Its intricate and captivating notes filled the air, casting a spell of musical enchantment.
At the base of the staircase, a grand white piano sat, often overlooked and untouched. A birthday gift from her sisters when she turned nineteen, the instrument had lost its allure for Lizzie over the years. Yet, now it was brought to life by the magical touch of her girlfriend's fingers dancing gracefully across the ivory keys, her foot gently pressing the sustain pedal.
Seated on the stairs, Lizzie watched in awe as Stella's musical artistry unfolded. Her smile widened as the brunette reached the heart of the piece, playing it with remarkable finesse and emotion. Unable to resist the allure of the moment, Lizzie pulled out her phone from her tracksuit pocket, recording a snippet of Stella's mesmerizing performance.
As Stella concluded the piece, she sat still, her gaze fixed upon the instrument's keys. Lizzie's phone buzzed with a notification, drawing her attention away from the video. She opened Instagram and checked her previous day's post, surprised to find it had garnered over 30k views—a testament to her genuine charm while tending to her tomato plants in the garden.
Excitedly, Lizzie uploaded the short clip of Stella playing the piano, savoring the moment, before turning off her phone and relishing the sight of the brunette engrossed in another musical piece.
A soft kiss on her neck caused Stella to stop playing, turning to face Lizzie with a delighted smile. "Hey, baby, how did you sleep?" she greeted, unaware of the momentous word she had just used.
"What did you call me?" Lizzie asked, her grin growing wider. "Say it again," she encouraged, her eyes locked with Stella's as the brunette's laughter became contagious.
"I called you baby," Stella repeated, turning fully to face Lizzie, rising from the piano stool. The blonde's smile lit up her face as she scrunched her nose playfully.
"You're so cute," Lizzie responded, planting a sweet peck on Stella's lips before leading her by the hand to the kitchen. "When did you learn to play?" Lizzie asked, opening the fridge to get out eggs and an avocado.
"I used to be in the same lessons as Mary, that's how we met," the girl recalled, a small smile on her lips as she remembered when she was younger without a worry in the world.
"You must have been adorable as a child," Lizzie mused, earning a chuckle from Stella, who took out her phone to share some old photos.
"I have a couple of photos, I think," the brunette hummed as Lizzie cracked a few eggs on a frying pan for breakfast. "This was in Germany, I believe," Stella turned her phone to show the interested woman.
"Oh my god, you are so cute! You were always beautiful, I see," Lizzie playfully winked at Stella, their laughter creating a symphony of joy.
"Yeah yeah, you are such a flirt," Stella responded, her eyes rolling playfully as she turned off her phone and set it beside her. She leaned on the counter, resting her head on her hand, captivated by Lizzie's antics.
"Of course I am," Lizzie beamed, her attention focused on cooking the scrambled eggs. However, a stack of papers on the bed of the countertop caught Stella's eye.
"What's this?" Stella inquired, curiosity piqued as she pulled the file towards her, reading the title out loud. "Script 1, Love and Death."
"Remember that job I told you I wanted to take?" Lizzie hummed, Stella nodding in understanding.
"Sounds fun, do you want some help reading lines?" Stella offered, surprising Lizzie with her kindness.
"Sure? You go ahead," Lizzie said, turning off the stove as the eggs were cooked, facing Stella with a curious glance.
Stella began reading over the script, flipping through the pages to find a scene. She pushed the paper towards Lizzie, who eagerly began to act out the scene, adopting a different accent that caught Stella off guard.
"And why do I have the pleasure of a house call from my favorite pastor?" Lizzie delivered the line with flair, causing surprise to flicker across Stella's face.
"Well, it certainly isn't pleasure, and I'm afraid I might stop being your favorite pastor," Stella continued, a small smile forming on Lizzie's lips as she shared her passion with her loved one.
"What's going on?" Lizzie inquired with a frown, hands on her hips, staying in character.
"Bill's gone, he wants a divorce," Stella giggled, finding it hard to maintain her seriousness. Lizzie managed to stifle her laughter, resetting herself. Pulling up a chair, she sat beside Stella, adopting a serious expression.
"I know that you've been struggling," Lizzie continued with the accent, placing a comforting hand on Stella's upper arm. "You will get through this. I will drag you through this!" Her words seemed to hold a deeper meaning than just reciting lines.
Not wanting to glance at the script, Stella decided to play along with the playful scene. "I know, I will. But that's not the worst of it. As your pastor and friend, I have to tell you I'm gay. And that I find you as attractive as a bug to a light," she chuckled, adopting a Southern accent for added humor.
Lizzie smirked, suppressing her laughter as she delivered her lines. "You think you're funny," she laughed, shaking her head.
"I think I'm adorable," Stella giggled, surprised at her own ability to break Lizzie's acting skills. Watching Lizzie effortlessly transform into a character was truly impressive.
"Can you be Wanda?" Stella asked, watching Lizzie raise an eyebrow at her curiously.
"And what do you want me to say?" Lizzie responded, slipping into her Sokovian accent and leaning closer to Stella, whispering sensually into her ear.
A shiver ran down Stella's spine, her cheeks turning a rosy hue. The chemistry between them was undeniable.
Stella blushed, feeling a rush of excitement and affection as Lizzie's words caressed her ear. The playful banter had quickly taken a turn into a flirtatious exchange, and Stella found herself completely captivated by the blonde's charm.
"And what if I told you that I'm a witch?" Stella teased, adopting a mock mysterious tone, playing along with the playful game.
Lizzie's eyes sparkled with amusement, her lips forming a mischievous smile. "Well, then I'd have to ask you to cast a spell on me," she replied in a playful yet seductive manner.
Stella's heart fluttered, and she couldn't resist leaning closer to Lizzie, their faces mere inches apart. The air around them seemed to crackle with electricity as the tension built between them.
"Maybe I already have," Stella whispered with a cheeky grin, her gaze locked on Lizzie's luscious lips.
Their lips met in a tender kiss, the world around them fading away as they lost themselves in the magic of the moment. Time seemed to slow down as their connection deepened, their souls entwined in a dance of affection and desire.
Eventually, they pulled back, their foreheads resting against each other, their breaths intermingling. Lizzie's eyes searched Stella's with a mixture of wonder and adoration, and Stella couldn't help but feel like the luckiest person in the world.
"You are something else, El," Lizzie whispered, her voice filled with genuine affection. "I never knew I could feel this way about someone."
Stella smiled, her heart swelling with warmth. "I feel the same way, Bee," she confessed, her voice soft and earnest. "You've brought so much joy and love into my life. I can't imagine being without you."
Lizzie's smile mirrored Stella's, and she cupped the brunette's cheek with tender affection. "You don't have to. I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere."
The two women shared another loving kiss, sealing their promise to each other. The world around them seemed to brighten, and Stella knew that with Lizzie by her side, she could face any challenge that life threw their way.
As they embraced, Stella couldn't help but feel a sense of fulfillment and contentment. Her heart was full, and she knew that this was just the beginning of a beautiful journey with the woman she loved.
"I should probably check on the food," Lizzie whispered, giving Stella's backside a playful smack before walking off. Stella was left there, momentarily stunned, watching Lizzie's smile as she mashed up avocado.
Shaking her head to refocus, Stella noticed Lizzie's buzzing phone. "What's with all the notifications?" she asked, and Lizzie simply shrugged.
"You check," Lizzie suggested, multitasking by buttering four pieces of toast quickly.
Stella picked up Lizzie's phone and clicked on the Instagram notifications. "The entire world is liking your story?" Stella responded, puzzled, before clicking on Lizzie's story.
"Oh, I forgot," Lizzie sighed heavily, eyeing Stella nervously as angelic music played from her phone. "I'm sorry, are you mad?" she asked, concerned.
"Uh, no, of course not. Just ask me next time, yeah?" Stella shook her head, offering a small smile as she placed the phone back on the counter. She wasn't too upset since no one could see her face in the video.
"Okay, deal," Lizzie agreed, offering Stella a plate of avocado toast and eggs, which the brunette gladly accepted with a nod of thanks. They both pulled out chairs at the dining table to sit opposite each other.
"Oh, and the twins wanted me to tell you something too, before I forget," Lizzie said, piquing Stella's curiosity.
"Yeah?" Stella inquired, wondering what Ashley and Mary-Kate would want to ask her.
"They said if you ever wanted to model for them, they would be more than happy to offer you a job," Lizzie smiled kindly at the German, watching her jaw drop.
"W- huh?!" Stella was taken aback. "Why me?"
"You are so beautiful, my love, why not?" Lizzie countered, making Stella blush instantly.
"Oh, thanks. Tell them thank you as well, but I'm going to try my luck at music," Stella decided, and Lizzie's eyes lit up.
"Really?! Oh, thank goodness, you are going to be amazing," Lizzie was thrilled that Stella had chosen to follow her dreams and not be swayed by her parents' expectations.
"Thank you, Bee, it means a lot," Stella chuckled, reaching out to hold Lizzie's hand over the table. The warmth of their connection reassured Stella that she was on the right path, pursuing her passion for music with the full support of the woman she loved.
