It's been a week. A week since Taehyung visited Jungkook's house and well, slapped him. After that, Jungkook never saw the older again.
Though, he's still friends with Jimin because he decided not to expose anything to the older. Unlikely of him actually, because he was literally threatening Taehyung to uncover everything in front of Jimin's eyes if he disobeys him.
And even after Taehyung not only disobeyed but also disappointed him, unfortunately, Jungkook still didn't tell.
Don't take him as a loser though. Just because he didn't act to his words, don't think that he can only send threats but can't really perform on it.
He can actually. Believe me when I say he can do much more than this stupid threat of his. He could've exposed everything to Jimin the next morning the night before Taehyung raised his hand at him and end the said guy's relationship with his husband in seconds. But he didn't.
Because he knows how to play the cards.
He knows if he had done that out of anger, that would be a completely clumsy move. He knows if he had exposed everything to Jimin, he would've gained nothing in return but only lose.
He would've lost Jimin and Taehyung at the same time. Jimin would've probably hated on him because of sleeping with his husband behind his back and Taehyung would also hate on him for wrecking his so-called growing relationship with his husband.
And Jungkook doesn't want to lose Taehyung. Especially not like this.
If it was someone else in Taehyung's place, Jungkook would've exposed that mother fucker to his husband in seconds. Because one: he doesn't need that person in his life anymore and two: he would feel satisfied by seeing the person's married life breaking apart just because of him.
But in Taehyung's case, it's complicated. Don't get him wrong though, he would love to see Taehyung and Jimin's married life falling apart too but just because of that stupid satisfaction, he can lose Taehyung forever.
So he decided not to expose the older to Jimin. Instead, he's trying to find a way to dig deeper into his best friend's married life and also into his personal life. He's trying to find any clue, any scope, anything that can help him to get closer to the truth of why Jimin is acting that way. Why he doesn't want to divorce Taehyung where even a complete fool can also tell there's nothing left for them to stay together anyway.
Jimin clearly despises his married life and it shows.
And that's why Jungkook wants to maintain a good relationship with Jimin so that he can get a closer peek into his personal life when he gets the chance to.
That's why he doesn't want to ruin everything by just blurting everything out to Jimin just because out of his stupid jealousy.
But there must be some reason behind this behavior of Jimin. There must be some solid secrets that the silver head is hiding from everyone. And when he'll able to get a hold of it, he's going to use that against Jimin and maybe he'll be able to capture Taehyung into his hold again in the meantime? Maybe he can lure the older towards himself and make him fall out of love?
He doesn't know what the future is holding for him or what he'll actually going to discover by digging into Jimin's personal life. It can be good, it can be bad. But all he just knows is that he wants to play the cards in a way that will cause Taehyung to lure back into his arms like an obedient puppy.
Well, that's what Jungkook likes to call Taehyung. His puppy.
He wants to be the reason behind destroying the older's married life but he also wants to appear innocent in front of his eyes so that whenever Taehyung will seek comfort, he'll come to Jungkook and Jungkook only.
Nevertheless, the younger really doesn't have any free time in his hands to play around right now. Jungkook has been working really hard throughout this whole week in the law firm. Taking the cases seriously and giving his absolute best to win every single of them.
He's working hard because after that incident, that day when he had canceled his first ever case here just for the sake of Taehyung, his reputation has been damaged badly. So he's giving his everything in these running cases of his to win every single of them and make a strong reputation not only around Gangnam but also the whole Seoul city.
He wants to achieve that nickname that his fellow colleagues and the citizens have given him back in the USA.
The unbeatable attorney.
He's currently on his way to a coffee shop to buy a strong shot of caffeine for him. He's been stressing out a lot these days because of a certain case.
There's this rich spoiled kid of a famous businessman who has 'accidentally' committed a homicide. Well, the crime is he had a lil fight with someone in the local bar and at the heat of the moment, he 'accidentally' shot that poor guy, knocking him out then and there.
And I'm sure you won't be surprised by knowing that Jungkook is actually paid to cover him up, the murderer. He's fighting for that rich spoiled kid and doing his best to get that kid out of this mess that he had created.
Well, in his defense, he didn't ask for it. He's being paid for that and as long as he's getting well paid for covering up that murderer, he'll defend that kid.
That's what lawyers are for. They don't really care about Justice, all matters to them is how good they're being getting paid for their work. And even if you find someone who actually roots for justice, then it is probably as rare as seeing the sun and moon crossing their paths.
But either way, Jungkook has been stressing a lot in this case. This case isn't closed yet because both attorneys didn't find any strong evidence to win yet. Whoever brings the strongest evidence, wins.
It's that simple.
But where on earth even Jungkook's going to find evidence that will save the kid from getting life imprisonment or even a death sentence? Because there's unsurprisingly none.
Well, seems like Jungkook has to make up something to save the kid.
Jungkook just had gotten out of the court after the judge declared another date for the next trial, giving them another week to find solid evidence. And as soon as he got out of the courtroom, he instantly made his way to the nearest coffee shop for some energy boost.
Jungkook pushed open the glass door of the coffee shop that was almost covered with posters. Posters of some jazz artists, it was kinda aesthetically pleasant to see if Jungkook's being honest.
After he pushed the door open, Jungkook stepped inside the coffee shop, the strong smell of beans immediately hitting his nostril. The blonde made his way towards the cashier, immediately gritted by a girl with jet back long hair, wearing a white shirt and her front is covered with a black apron, matching with a black skirt.
"Welcome to Cup o' Joe, sir. What would like to get for yourself?" The girl asked politely after she welcomed Jungkook with a humble bow.
"A latte, please. Make it strong." Jungkook ordered while he was about to take his wallet from his pants but stopped after hearing the girl.
"Of course, sir. But unfortunately, it will take 7-10 minutes for the order. So I prefer you to go and take one of the seats there while we make you your order." The girl said with an apologetic smile. Jungkook sighed and nodded his head.
"Sure," The blonde head said and shoved back his wallet into his back pocket again. The girl showed her gratitude to the attorney by a modest 'thank you'.
Jungkook walked back and look for a seat for himself. The coffee shop was pretty much empty right now with a little amount of people sitting and chatting with each other. He then found an empty seat beside the glass window and thought it would be a great place to relieve his stress and sit by himself.
Jungkook walked to the specific seat and sit down there. He let out a sigh as he looks outside the window through the glass, watching cars and people passing by. Jungkook's gaze fall over the coffee table and he saw a magazine laying there.
He subconsciously went for the magazine and started to randomly roam his eyes over it. Just to pass the time till he waits for his latte.
Jungkook formed his lips into a pout as he was bored and averted his eyes from the magazine to look outside the window again. Outside the window was the footpath, the street is in the middle with other shops and buildings lining up each side of the road.
The coffee shop also has white-colored tables and chairs placed over the footpath. Jungkook could see few people were sitting outside the coffee shop and enjoying their company with each other.
He was about to avert his gaze from the window and look back to the magazine again but he snapped his head towards the window again when he saw a familiar face sitting outside the coffee shop under the umbrella seat.
Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows in curiosity and leans closer to the window glass, almost squishing his cheek against the glass as he tried to look at the familiar figure as he was sitting pretty far away from the window.
It was Jimin sitting under the umbrella seat but what takes the yield of Jungkook's curiosity is he wasn't sitting alone. He was sitting with a man whose back was facing towards Jungkook which is why the younger couldn't recognize the man by just watching him from behind.
Though Jungkook can't see the man's face since all the blonde head could see is the back profile of the man, he was still sure and confident that it was not Taehyung.
He's familiar with Taehyung's figure and he's sure this man can never be the older. And top of that, the guy doesn't even have dirty brown hair like Taehyung does.
So Jungkook is sure as daylight that it can never be Taehyung.
But who's that guy? Why is Jimin talking with that man here in the coffee shop? And by observing Jimin's expression he's sure that the man is not one of his clients to have an open meeting here.
Because he can see Jimin's reaction changing from time to time as the conversation continues though he can't hear anything because Jimin is outside the coffee shop and Jungkook is inside. He's just able to see Jimin's face from over the mysterious man's shoulder and that's all.
He can see how Jimin's eyebrows sometimes furrow with anger. Sometimes in annoyance. He can also see sometimes Jimin slamming his fist over the coffee table out of frustration and jerking his face to the side with pure irritation.
And what was interesting was that Jungkook could tell by the movements of the unknown man from behind that the man extracted his hands towards Jimin and patted the smaller's males hands like he was trying to comfort Jimin?
You know like in those couple fights? Where the guilty partner tries to calm their other partner or try to reassure them by holding their hands and caressing the skin to show affection?
But one thing was clear as water, the man sitting before Jimin is not his client or any normal friend. They were more than that and it shows. Jungkook is sure about it. Because what kind of client even talks like that with their merchant?
The blonde head was so caught up by the scene in front of him that he almost forgot to take evidence of this moment, evidence to prove in future complications that this moment indeed exists. Because as a lawyer, he knows the court or the judge is not the only person who'll believe in you as long as you have an eye witness or visual evidence.
So he hurriedly fished out his phone from his pocket and clicked on the camera app to capture the scene before his eyes into his gallery.
Jungkook smirked to himself as he observed the pictures he had just taken. His fingers hovers over the screen when an idea popped out. Jungkook immediately tapped out of his gallery and went to his contacts. He typed the latter 'T' and Taehyung's contact showed up instantly.
He clicked on the contact and then to the text option.

Jungkook rolled his eyes as he read the older's reply. Honest to be said, he didn't expect much. He was sure that Taehyung wouldn't believe him and his assumption came out correct.
He just send the picture because. . . you know? Just in case? And much to his expectation, he was right that Taehyung wouldn't believe him.
But he didn't care, to be honest. Because Jungkook now at least has something to start with. At least he knows that Jimin is not as innocent as he likes to appear in front of everyone.
And this picture here is the lead to his path.
He'll come up with better evidence that will shut Taehyung's pretty little mouth and he wouldn't even have any scope to defend his husband anymore which will force him to believe reality.
Jungkook was about to look in Jimin's direction again but he was interrupted by the waitress taking his order to his table.
"Here's your latte, sir. Hope you enjoy~" She said with a sweet smile, her voice even sweeter than her smile as she placed the latte over the table gently. Jungkook nodded and thanked the waitress quickly who bowed slightly and then walks back to the cashier.
After the waitress left, Jungkook looks in Jimin's direction again but frowned when he saw the umbrella seat was empty now. He sighed heavily and heat his back with the chair.
Jungkook looks down at his phone screen and went back to the gallery again. He zoomed in on the photo and observes the unfamiliar man's backside with a blank stare.
"Though I didn't see his face I can tell his haircut is kinda similar to mine, like a Pierre fruit. And his hair color is similar to Jimin's too. I hope I can identify him when I see him." Jungkook mumbled to himself as he wrapped his tattooed fingers around the latte and guided it to his lips.
"But the problem is. . .where can I find him?"
