THEY WERE HEADING BACK TO LA. Valentina and Oakley switched off while driving and right now it was her turn. He was asleep at the moment with Crush placed in his lap. Valentina observed the scene for a moment and smiled to herself.
They were about to hit traffic. It was the worst in L.A. and it drove Val crazy. She was thankful she wasn't alone because than it would have been worst.
Groans escaped Oakleys mouth as he slowly woke up. She watched as he rubbed his eyes trying to fully wake himself up.
He hummed while placing his hand on Val's thigh. "Didn't mean to fall asleep, love."
"No, you're good. You need rest." She dragged her nails on the nape of his neck. Her gaze still focused on the road.
"That feels good." He smirked.
She looked to the hand on her thigh. "That does too."
Her smile faded as she thought about going home. She was happy to see Kiara, her baby, and maybe even Speed. But she was driving Oakley to the airport soon because he was going to go back home.
Oakley caught the sad look on her face. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing. Just hate traffic." She lied.
He smacked his lips dramatically. "Valentina, we've talked about this."
"I don't want you to go home." She selfishly admitted.
He tilted his head. He knew that feeling all too well. They just got together and he's already leaving. It's early stages in the relationship and they are going to be separated.
"It's sucks, innit?" His hand grabbed hers that was rubbing his neck. He held it and squeezed it gently. "But you know there's always face time. I'll be talking to you everyday and night. I'll visit and you can even come visit me." He reassured.
That got her smile to come back. Since traffic was really slow she thought she might give him a little thanks. Leaning over the console she kissed his cheek multiple times. She could feel his cheek lift up on her lips from smiling.
Crush barked softly, gaining her attention. "No need to be jealous, you're still my baby." She kissed his head before focusing back on her surroundings.
Oakley admired her side profile while she was driving. He was one lucky man.
