Sorry it took me a while to publish this story but HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
At school
Amagi is leaving the Teacher's Office.
“Sir, please excuse me.” Amagi said.
As Amagi was walking, he saw Takara also walking in the hallway.
“Hey, Takara!” Amagi said as he ran towards him.
“Why are you still at school?” Amagi asked.
“The teachers only let go of me just now. What about you Amagi?”
“Same here!” Amagi's cute pose while saying that.
Takara's thoughts:
Why is he posing like that?
Whatever, he's cute to handle anyway.
“I was thinking I was so unfortunate,
but then I get to see you here as well!
I feel lucky now.” Amagi said while smiling.
“Mhm. I think I'm lucky too because I get to see you too.” Takara said
“So that's twice the luck for us I guess.” Amagi said awkwardly while Takara was awkwardly touching/scratching his nape.
Amagi remembered what he and Takara did at school yesterday
Flashbacks
“Hey, Amagi. Please look at me and listen to me.”
“I like you. I LIKE YOU!”
Takara realizes what he just said just now and lets go off his hands on Amagi's shoulder.
“I'm sorry.” Takara said.
Amagi softly said
“Takara you... like me?”
“Yeah.”
“Then why did you tell that first-year girl you're not dating anyone?” Amagi asked.
“Oh, about that... so you heard us?”
Takara said and Amagi nodded.
Takara was scratching his nape
“I just... want to keep the fact that I like you, a secret.” Takara said
Amagi smiles in relief
“Is that so?”
Flashback ends
Ever since that day, we officially became a couple. But, I'm just not used to it.
Perhaps maybe its because of that silly fight. Thats why Takara is taking such good care of me.
“You only need to hand that in, right?”
Takara asked what Amagi was holding a paperwork (I think) for the teacher.
“But the teacher might take some time.
I'll probably need to stay for a while.”
“In that case I'll wait for you. Let's go home together.” Takara said
“No, it's okay! It'll be dark outside.”
Amagi responds
“Mhm, that's why I'll walk with you.”
“Don't do that. I'm not a child, I'll be fine!” Amagi responds
Takara stares deep in Amagi's eyes because he still wants him to come and walk together at home.
“I mean if you don't mind, I just want to spend more time with you. That's why I want to walk you home.”
“Perhaps it'll be dangerous going home alone at night. What if someone kidnaps you? Who will save you? Hmm?”
Takara said but before Amagi could answer
Takara cuts him off
“I'm taking you home, no buts or excuses. I'll wait for you when you're done.”
“I-I'LL HURRRY UP AND FINISH EVERYTHING.” Amagi hurriedly excitedly
Takara scratches his nape
“That was kind of embarrassing.” Takara said
Takara and Amagi was walking home together holding hands while walking.
Takara's thoughts:
My left hand must be happy right now
“It feels a little weird doing this” Amagi said
He's so cute. Yes I can confrim that now.
I'll protect him for the rest of my life.
“What will we do if a classmate of ours suddenly caughts us?” Amagi said while he puts his head onto Takara's shoulder
“It doesn't matter. Let's just say we glued ourselves together.” Takara responded
“What kind of situation is that?” Amagi sarcastically said while they both smile
They continued walking home.
At school the next day
At the courthouse
Tanaka saw Takara and wants to prank him. He suddenly runs up to him and says
“An opportunity!!” While grabbing his legs
Tanaka was surprised because Takara didn't flinched or got surprised by him.
Its quite obvious he was used by Tanaka's pranks.
“Eh?” Tanaka confusingly said
“Hey. Stop trying to pull pranks on me. You know it won't work. How many times have you done this today?”
Tanaka stands up
“I'm a man who will do anything anything for public pranks.” Tanaks said sarcastically
“You're so annoying.” Takara said while Tanaka just laughs at him
“Only elementary schoolers pull each other's pants down for fun.”
“Come on. I don't want to grow up to be a boring adult for the rest of my life.”
Tanaka said and keeps pranking other students.
“An opportunity!!”
“Sh¡t! Wtf?!”
Takara sighs in disbelief.
Meanwhile, Takara heard Amagi's voice.
Takara turns around to see Amagi and his friends passing the ball.
“I don't really like playing basketball,
I can jump very high” Katori said and passes the ball to Amagi.
“Don't lie!” Amagi said while passing the ball to Katori.
“I'm telling the truth! You suck.” Katori said and passes the ball to Zaki.
“You have no right to say that.” Zaki responds and passes the ball to Amagi.
“But your definitely not handsome.” Amagi said then passes the ball to Katori.
While Takara's walking towards to Amagi.
“Amagi.” Takara called him.
“Hi and yes! I'm Amagi”
“Can we talk for a while?” Takara asked.
“Yes, of course!” Amagi agreed and they both walked away.
Zaki runs off to Katori.
“What should we do?! Takara from the Cool Kids Gang took Amagi again. They seem to be very close these passed few days. I'm getting suspicious.” Zaki told Katori and looks at them weirdly.
“That's it. From now on, that idiot Tanaka will probably pull everyone's pants down. So make sure you tie your pants string tightly.”
“Are you too worried for me?” Amagi asked jokingly.
“You seem to be the type that won't take it seriously. You're probably his next target.” Takara said.
“Tie them tightly. Don't let it slip.” Takara ordered Amagi.
Amagi wants to tie them tightly but he instead asked Takara to do it instead.
“Okay, I'll let you do it.” Amagi said.
“Eh? Seriously? Alright.” Takara stringed Amagi's pants tightly.
“But if it's like this, when I change, it'll take a lot time to untie it.” Amagi said while Takara's still tying his pants
“I guess. Just call me if you need me.” Takara said
“O-Okay.” Amagi said.
“It's done.” Takara said.
“Thank you!” Amagi said with a cute smile.
Takara looked at his tag.
“Since when did you became an Yamazaki?” Takara asked.
“Oh this? It's only for first-period today!I forgot PE was rescheduled.” Amagi responded.
“Really?” Takara said.
Amagi just stares at Takara intensely.
“Don't stare at me like that.”
“You stared at me first!”
“I did not.”
“But you're the one who asked, but you said "really?" ” Amagi said.
Takara comes closer and pats Amagi's hair
“I'm sorry for that.” Takara said.
Amagi removes his hands from his head
while smiling.
“You're not wearing anything..?”
Takara said while he's staring at Amagi's chest.
“I am!” Amagi tries to deny it.
“Don't lie to me.” Takara said.
“Are you mad?”
“It's okay, I'm not mad. Next time, just borrow something from me.” Takara said
And Amagi just nodded.
They went inside
The game has started and Amagi was begging Takara to come and play with them.
“Pleaseee.”
“No.”
“I'm not going.” Takara said while Amagi was still begging and swings his arms.
“Come onn!!” Amagi said while he pulled him to come play anyway.
They were both happy and smiling.
Amagi's thoughts:
I get to go out with someone I like,
We can go home together,
We're from the same class,
Even if we don't set dates and alarms,
We can still meet. We don't have to come up with reasons to be together. We can always be together. We can always hold hands. We're close enough to touch each other. That's why I feel so happy.
Amagi's dream
(They're in their classrooms now the next day and Amagi was sleeping at his desk)
Amagi sleeps peacefully but suddenly he saw Takara shirtless and was pushing him through the door. It was blurry but he can still see him and himself. Takara slowly leans in closer and Amagi steps back slowly too. He leans in closer to him and trying to kiss Amagi.
“Amagi.” He said while slowly kisses him
Takara push Amagi through the other side of the wall and holds his hands gently but agressively grabs his head closer to his while kissing or making out with him and stops and said
“Touch mine too.”
Bulaga
Amagi wakes up from his dream and gasps in disbelief, but just then Takara walked in and greet a good morning to Amagi while Amagi tries to avoid Takara because he was harassed by him in his silly dream he had just now.
“Morning.”
“What's wrong? Are you dozed off because you were tired from PE?”
Takara leans in and looks at Amagi confusingly
“Eh? What is it?” Takara curiously said
Takara said to Amagi while Amagi's ignoring him and don't know what to do and suddenly, he left without saying anything to Takara while Takara was confused and curious on what's going on with him.
Amagi ran to somewhere sat down and thinks while panicking.
“What should I do?! I ran away!
But that's...” Amagi stopped for a moment and imagined Takara's face while realizing that Takara was the one who harassed him.
“NO! If I keep doing this, he'll get suspicious on me!” Amagi said and goes back to the classroom.
Takara was still curious about Amagi who's not noticing him since earlier when he ran away. What's up with this guy?
Katori was writing on the board and writes the correct answer while Amagi covered himself with a small book from Takara while he was still confused why he isn't he noticing him.
“Yes, that's correct.” The teacher said to Katori who wrote the right answer on the board Katori noticed Amagi who's still covering himself with a small book from Takara and looked at Amagi suspiciously.
Amagi's thoughts:
I've been acting weird in every aspect already. If he gets more suspicious, I'm doomed!
Takara slowly peeks his head to check on him but he's still avoiding him.
During recess time
“In this classroom, a typhoon called me has come ashore!” Tanaka said but everyone ignored him except for his friends.
Takara's friends talked about something, while Takara was staring at Amagi.
Amagi stared back at him and was secretly going out but Takara was staring at him confused.
Meanwhile later at the rooftop
“What should I do? I don't see any way out. Help me out please my friend, my soulmate.” Amagi said.
“Did you refer to me when you said friend and soulmate?
“There's no one else here.”
“I don't think I remember becoming one.”
“You just become one.”
“If you're feeling down, you should sigh more often. Or mention it a little before you full-blown with it. You did that so suddenly I wasn't really prepared. Before you ask, “What should I do?” you need to let me ask, "What's wrong?"”
“Alright, I get it. Take two.”
Amagi sighs as in he wants Katori to notice him.
Katori doesn't notice him.
Amagi sighs more loudly.
Katori then notices him and asked.
“What's wrong? Is anything bothering you?”
Amagi then said what happened on his dream he had earlier.
“Katori, have you ever dreamed about something weird?”
“Weird dreams? What kind of weird?”
“I don't know if its weird. Well... someone I like popped up in my dream.”
Amagi said.
Katori was surprised and shocked.
“So you have someone that you like. Aren't you going to ask who it is? I'd rather keep guessing.” Katori said.
“Has anyone told you that you're a jerk?” Amagi said.
“Come on. Stuff like that. Everyone must have dreamed about someone that they like atleast once.”
“Isn't it embarrassing?” Amagi said.
“Yeah. If I remember correctly, dreams represent your desires-.” Katori got cut off by Amagi .
Amagi stands up.
“That's not it!” Amagi said
“You mean it's something you definitely don't want to happen?” Katori asked.
Amagi turned his head at the corner while thinking.
Amagi's thoughts:
Something I definitely don't want to happen?
While Amagi's was thinking, his dream suddenly popped up in his mind.
I don't think that's right too.
No no no! What am I thinking!?
While Amagi was walking back ans forth stressed. Meanwhile Katori stared at him confused.
“If the person is aware of this, they'll
stay back, right?” Amagi asked.
“I guess so. I mean it depends on the person?” Katori responded.
“I'll try my best to conceal it!” Amagi said while stomping his foot.
While Katori is weirdly confused, like he couldn't believe that Amagi likes someone.
All the students went home because the class was over.
Takara was still packing his things while his friends said goodbye to him because they're going home. He said goodbye to them as well.
While Takara said goodbye to his friends, he noticed that Amagi walked away while his bag was on his face so he couldn't see Takara. Takara is curious and confused why Amagi is not paying attention to him nor ignoring him.
Takara sulked because Amagi still ignored him after class.
Amagi walks sadly to his house.
Amagi's thoughts:
We can actually spend all of our time together. Today... we could have been holding hands and walking home together.
Amagi's brain said and stopped walking as he looked at his hand and imagined his dream again.
What are you thinking you coward!
Amagi's brain said and ran to his house stressed.
At school the next day
Everyone was playing soccer while Amagi was just sitting in a corner. Takara stood up and Takara was ready to confront Amagi about what was happening to him. Why did he stopped talking to him?
Takara walked up to him and said.
“Amagi.” Takara called him while Amagi was surprised by him and looked at him.
“You've been acting weirdly. What's wrong? You know you can talk to me right?” Takara worriedly asked him.
Amagi stood up without looking at him.
“Nothing. Nothing is going on on these pass few days. I'm okay.” Amagi responded while still not looking at Takara
“Really?”
Amagi shooks his head.
“Honestly, I'm scared. If you won't tell me, I won't know. If something is bothering you, no matter how small it is, just tell me.” Takara sighed while Amagi's still isn't looking at Takara.
“Seeing you acting like this makes me worried.” Takara said.
Amagi's thoughts:
I can't do it! Whenever I see his face, that scene pops up in my head. I'm sorry Takara. I'm so sorry.
After class
Katori was organizing his things in his locker. While Takara was looking for Amagi and saw Katori organizing his things and approached to him and said-
“Where's Amagi?”
Katori was surprised to see Takara because he just suddenly came out of nowhere.
“Uhm I think he ran home just now. He's a little confused. Even if you caught him, he wouldn't make sense.” Katori responded.
“You guys seem very close.” Takara said.
“Oh, I'm like his mentor. And it's been rather been rough for me.” Katori said.
“Are you his guardian?” Takara asked.
“I'm his friend soulmate.” Katori said.
“Oh?” Takara said.
“Amagi, seems to be hitting his late puberty. Maybe because he's having a hard time with relationships?” Katori said while looking at Takara seeing if he would react.
Takara looks away, trying not to make eye contact.
While Katori was suspiciously surprised by his reaction.
At Amagi's home/apartment
Amagi went to his bed thinking
Amagi's thoughts:
I'm still... afraid of our new status.
The distance between me and Takara is the one that can't be shortened.
Amagi thought about what Takara said earlier to him.
“If something is bothering you, no matter how small it is, just tell me. Seeing you like this makes me worried.”
Now that I know he's worried, I feel even worse.
Amagi hugged his pillow while still thinking.
It's such a small reason. But for me, it's not small at all. I really don't like that.
The next day at school
Time skip:
All the students organized their things.
While Amagi still ignores Takara. Takara is really upset, because Amagi ignores Takara almost every day.
Takara looked at Amagi, Amagi noticed he was staring at him and packs his things quickly and tried to run away until...
Takara blocks Amagi's way.
“Going home?”
Amagi nodded while not making eye contact to him.
They went to the rooftop
“I thought I'd just let it go, but it's been days that you've been hiding things from me, avoiding me and not talking to me.
I'm not mad about that stuff like that.
You can ask for advice from anyone.
Do whatever you want. Still...
it's not easy for me.” Takara said.
Amagi looked at Takara. Seeing him
looking a bit sad.
“Am I that untrustworthy? I don't understand what you're thinking about, Amagi.” Takara said while looking at Amagi.
Amagi's thoughts:
I... only thought about myself again even though I'm not the only one who's worried. Takara... always tells me frankly.
“I'm sorry.” Amagi said
“I didn't want you apologize. I just want to spend time with you. It was my own selfishness.” Takara said. Amagi stared at him in awe, feeling bad for the things he done to him.
“Why aren't you talking to me, Amagi? I didn't want to be the one to ask something so unmanly.”
Amagi's thoughts:
I keep making up excuses. If I dont say it, it's gonna lead to a misunderstanding again. For us, time cannot fix everything.
“Well I...” As Amagi spoke, Takara looks at Amagi and will listen to him on what he has to say.
“I was harassed. I was harassed by you!”Amagi said meanwhile Takara looked confused.
Amagi stoods up.
“Even though I want to act normal, it pops up on my mind whenever I see you! I'm very weird now. What should I do!?”
Amagi said.
“No, wait. Who did what?” Takara said confused.
“You did it to me!”
“I don't remember that.”
“Pervert!!” Amagi said while secretly smiling.
“What do you mean? Someone who looked like me did something to you?”
“No. It's really you!”
“Wait. You need to tell me all...-”
Takara got cut off.
“No!”
“But I didn't do anything.” Takara cutely pouted.
Takara slowly walks up to Amagi but Amagi stepped back.
“Amagi!” Takara said as he's chasing after Amagi with a smile
Amagi's thoughts:
Even though it's not a beautiful day every day, if when I turn.
I see Takara by my side, I think I should probably be happy enough. It's simple, or maybe.. a little crazy. But.. that's good.
As Takara chases Amagi Amagi almost slips and Takara catches him but still pushes him. Takara grabs Amagi's arm and Amagi swings his arm to get Takara's arms off of him. They happily smiled at each other teasingly. Amagi runs with Takara's hand and smiles, while Takara smiles shyly but is still happy to be with him again.
“Amagi!”
“Don't come closer!”
“I'll catch you!”
They both laugh.
“Don't come closer!”
“You really like to run away huh?”
“Hehe, you can't catch me!”
Takara finally caught Amagi and back hugged him.
“Gotcha!!”
“No! Let go off me!”
“It's too late now.”
“Whatever.”
“Let's go home?”
“Okay!”
