waking up in my room after falling asleep in the living room was bound to cause confusion, but waking up in my room after falling asleep in the living room and with someone's arms around me, confusion was an understatement. the arms were firmly wrapped around my waist and the person face was buried into my neck. their breathing was calm and i could feel their heartbeat going steady against my back. trying to make my way out their arms was a struggle, but as i pried the person fingers off the grip only got tighter.
"mmm, stay here with me." they whined and that's when the voice clicked into my head. "eddie?" i said trying to turn my head back to get a look at him. "the one and only princess, don't wear it out yet." he said and i could feel him smirk against my neck. my face reddened and i awkwardly cleared my throat "i, uh, have to use the bathroom.". eddie nodded and slowly retracted his arms from around my waist. "wait before i go in there... did we... you know?" he laughed and shook his no. "we did not, i'm sure you don't remember asking me to stay in your room when i brought you up here though." my head whipped around to finally face eddie. "i'm never said i was complaining doll." he stretched. i slowly nodded my head and made my way to the bathroom. before walking through the door eddie stood up from my bed "i gotta go but i'll see you at school tomorrow." he winked and left. i stood there and blinked not knowing how to react. nodding i finally went into the bathroom. i just started knowing eddie more, but he treats me like we've known each other for a while. he's so nice to me and... attractive. maybe, just maybe it wouldn't be to bad if i admit to myself i'm starting to crush on him.
-monday-
"dustin let's go! we need to leave now."
"alright i'm coming, hold on!"
i grab my keys and head outside to my car as dustin comes running down the stairs rushing to put his shoes on. running down he almost trips over himself but quickly stands up. we both get into my car and i start my engine. "i see you and eddie have been getting along." dustin talks while breathing heavily from the previous running. "uh yeah, he's a cool guy." i reply trying not to think about it as i start the car. thinking about eddie would surely rush all the moments he flirted with me in my mind and i wouldn't be able to explain why my face is the same color as max's hair.
"so why are we rushing to school again, we have some time before we have to go to homeroom." dustin turns to me. "you know i have to meet up with robin and steve in the morning." "why is steve even at the school, he graduated last year. he can't love school THAT much." i laughed at my little brother "robin doesn't have her license, he takes her to school. besides, he just loves me and robin sooo much that he has to see us every morning and get the daily gossip." dustin raises his eyebrow and tells me "i don't think that's the reason y/n, at all." "alright, time to get out my car little brother!" i enthusiastically clap my hands and turn the car off as we arrived at the school.
we both exit the car and go our separate ways. dustin goes off to go find his friends and i go off to find steve's car after locking my doors. the dark maroon car was spotted sitting not to far from mine with both of my friends in there talking. i walk up to the car and knock on the window scaring steve. "jesus y/n you can't do stuff like that, i almost had a heart attack!" steve rants while aggressively turning his hand to roll down the window. "just let me in the car stevey." i hold onto the handle with a smile. "i'm serious y/n!". "yeah yeah whatever, you love me." steve rolled his eyes in response. "so, you and eddie." was the first thing said as soon as i sat in the car. "yeah so you and eddie." steve repeated what robin had previously said. "so you and vickie, or even better yet, you and nancy." i pointed to them sarcastically smiling. "we know you're still in love with her steve, it's okay to be open!" i said pursing my lips and shaking my head as i patted steve's shoulder. "hey this isn't about me, this is about you." he shakes my hand off his shoulder and i look at an imaginary clock on my wrist. "would you look at that, it's time for me to go! bye stevey have fun working loser, come on robin." i hop out of steve's car and walk to the entrance with robin, slightly walking ahead of her.
-lunch-
"so then i was trying to talk to her but i kept talking a bunch of nonsense. y/n, i can't even talk to the girl without messing it up! i can't possibly ask her on a date let alone hang out. oh my God, y/n, what if she's straight. she doesn't seem straight but you know how some people are. she'll tell the whole school i asked her out and i'll be bullied out of the school and forced to take shelter in like steve's house." robin whisper-yelled to me. "i'm doing it again aren't i?". "what, rambling? yeah you are." i laughed while letting the lunch lady plop the lunch onto my tray. "your lover boy is approaching at 12 o'clock" she then nudged my shoulder.
before i could ask robin what she was talking about, i felt a tap on my shoulder. right in front of me was eddie, i didn't expect him to actually come up to me at school.
"hey y/n, and robin." he smiled at both of us, and of course the smile was returned. as the lunch lady gave me my last item eddie gently pulled me over to the side. robin stood a distance away waiting for us to be done talking.
"so uhm i was wondering if you'd want to see me and my band play tonight." eddie nervously rubbed the back of his neck. i furrowed my eyebrows and thought, it wouldn't be too bad right? "seems like we've been spending a lot of time together recently munson.". "yeah, but you don't seem to be complaining." he hit me with the prettiest smile. "sure, i'd love to go." my answer caused eddie to smile even brighter and me to laugh. "great, the place is the one club downtown. you know the one?" i nodded my head "hope to see you there, doll." and with that he went back over to his table and i went over to robin.
robin and i walked to the band room where we usually eat our food. robin had been speaking to me for the past minute but i had payed no mind. my head was completely somewhere else in a trance left by eddie munson. i wondered what i would even wear, i want to leave an impression.
"y/n! helloooo?" robin snapped her fingers in front of my face. "huh?" she had brought me back once she realized i wasn't even paying attention. "jeez eddie has really taken a toll on you, you're becoming like me when i see vickie." she laughed and i glared at her. "haha very funny, im totally laughing right now." i said deadpanning. "i'm serious, have you seen yourself when you're around him?" robin waved her hand in the air, almost losing balance of her tray in the other hand. "you're starting to sound like steve when he talks to you." i say opening the door into the music room.
we both take a seat on the stairs levels of the room and began eating. "seriously though y/n, what's going on between the two of you? you know i'm always here to support, even if i do tease you sometimes."
"robin i really don't know. he's a sweet guy but he also makes me, flustered? he's constantly teasing me but the thing is.. i kinda like it. the night of the party he helped me to my room when i was drunk, saturday he took me to get my car, that night he came to get me for the movie night and flirted with me while i was in my towel, that same night he carried me back to my bed and i guess i asked him to stay, and just now he invited to me to watch his band play tonight. it's a lot but i'm enjoying his presence and i can't help but to imagine every once and a while, what if it.. what if we were more?"
"wow, i think you actually have a crush on munson."
"i think i might, i don't know how to come up about it to him though."
"well you have the wrong friends for that, i can't even talk to vickie without rambling and steve's in love with his ex. and i don't know if you've noticed but he's gotten a little more awkward ever since he's graduated." robin added to try to make me laugh.
"yeah i have! did you see him talking to the girl
who came into the shop yesterday? absolutely hilarious." i laughed along. the rest of the lunch period we sat in the band room joking around in our own peace.
-at the club-
i walk into the building and it's not really crowded, about 5 drunks drinking in the dimly lit place. there were multi colored lights pointing at the stage as there were some instruments that sat on there. i decided to wear a nice fitting black dress, a cropped jean jacket, and combat boots. i kept the makeup minimal and wore a little jewelry. my hair was down with a hair tie around my wrist and a cross body black purse draped on me. i took a seat in the front more off to the side and didn't wait long until the performance began.
in about 5 minutes their band called 'corroded coffin' came out and were ready to preform. the music began and i watched eddie as his eyes searched the room. he noticed the 5 regulars just there for a drink but then he noticed me, the added person to the room. his eyes met mine as he began singing and it felt like the world had stopped and the two of us were the only ones in the room. the music boomed through my ears as i stared and gave a small smile. eddie returned it with a smirk and soon enough he was doing a guitar solo, eyes not leaving mine. at that moment it was the hottest thing i've ever witnessed. my face flushed, my skin grew sweaty, and if i wasn't sitting, my knees definitely would've gave out. the song soon ended and eddie sent me a wink before walking backstage. i sat in the seat for a good minute before getting up to get a drink. before i can reach the bar my hand is grabbed and i'm pulled backstage. in front of me dragging me is eddie with his brown curls frizzier than ever. he pulled me into a room and turned around to face me.
"hi" eddie smiled at me. "hey" i replied out of breath. the tension was visibly thick as we stared into each other's eyes. "i'm glad you came, you look amazing." he looks further down my body eyeing the dress that hugged my body. "yeah? i'm glad i came munson, you looked incredible up there." as we talked our bodies seemed to be moving closer and closer together. "how amazing y/n?" eddie asked. "so fucking hot eddie." i breathed out. at this point we're practically face to face and his lips brushed against mine, "can i kiss you?" eddie's eyes flickered between my lips and my eyes. "please do." i practically whimpered and almost lost all composure i had.
eddie's lips finally came into contact with mine and kissed me. it felt like sparks were going off in my body as i kissed him back equally as hungry as he kissed me. we had stumbled backwards into a nearby wall, lips still connected. my back hit the wall and his arms pulled my waist closer to him, if closer was even possible. my arms wrapped around his neck and his hands traveled to underneath my thighs. "jump" he whispered disconnected our lips for a quick second before bringing them back to each other. i jumped up and eddie caught me in his arms and brought us back to leaning against the wall. his lips left mine and made their way down my neck. he kissed different parts of the side of my neck until he found a spot that automatically made me whimper again. eddie began to roughly suck on that spot and was surely to leave a dark mark. "eddie" i moaned out throwing my head back. he hummed against my neck before kissing the spot of my neck and coming back up to kiss my lips. "you make pretty noises baby, but i want it to be better than backstage in a room of a club before i finally get to fuck you. i've dreamed about this moment for too long for it not to be perfect." he told me. "mhm, but that was so nice." i giggled while out foreheads touched.
"never would i have ever thought that i'd be kissing you, i'm surprised this isn't a dream." eddie kept one hand steady underneath my ass and the other on the small of my back gently rubbing in circles. "you saying you dream about me munson?" i smirked. "you have no damn idea." he smirked back. i leaned forward and gently kissed his lips before he let me back down to the ground. eddie's hand grabbed mine "let me walk you to your car, it's late." he genuinely smiled. i fixed my dress with one hand and we walked out to the parking lot. eddie opened the door for me as i unlocked it and shut it after i got in.
"see you tomorrow?" he questioned.
"of course." i smiled before leaving the place.
this took a while to write and the time jumps are kinda messy but i hope you guys like it !! i took forever to brainstorm where tf i was trying to go with this without moving super fast 😭.
