I looked over at Braxton and Simone who were fully engaged into the sermon.

I slightly looked back at the doors that had opened and surprisingly Zay came in and sat beside Braxton before sapping him up.
He looked sobered up, clean, and ready to focus, almost like he was a whole other person from last night.

After the service I continued talking to Simone while I watched London run around at the playground area with the other kids.
Interrupting out conversation Zay came over before hugging Simone
"Can I borrow Kay for minute ?" He asked
"Only if you bring her back tearless." Simone told him before squinting her eyes at him and he raised his pinky before she interlocked it and lightly laughed before hugging me
"Call me girl." She told me before elapsing away and j raised my eyebrows at Zay
"Thank you." He started before sticking his hands in his pockets
"What happened ?" I asked causing him to furrow his eyebrows
"You're not a heavy drinker at all, what was going on ?" I asked before he sighed
"Kay they're threatening to throw me on the stand with y'all if I don't testify against Kash." He said before I cleared my throat
"How is that bad ? They have no evidence against him and all you have to say is you don't know anything." I said
"And lie under oath ? Kay if they link me in after that I go down with y'all." He said causing me to sigh
"I know you don't want too, but you have to then him in." He said causing me to chuckled

"And I know you're not a bad mother either." He said causing me to furrow my eyebrows
He cleared his throat before turning my towards the playground area where London was running around
"I don't see a father looking to stay out of mess to protect his daughter, I see a hardworking ass mother who would bust her ass to give her the life that she deserves, and she deserves her mother." He told me causing me to cross my arms
"Just think about it Kay, would you rather it be him, or you ?" He asked before getting ready to walk off
"Are you gonna testify against us ?" I asked causing him to stop
"Us?" He asked before he dropped he from speaking again
"If I had too, Kash yes, and I damn sure hope that you don't have shit to do with this." He said before London ran over Causing Zay to Neal down and hug her
"Are you back ?" She asked before I cleared my throat And unlocked my car
"Go to the car Lon I'll be back to strap you in okay ?" I told her before watching her get into the car
"So you a snitch now ?" I asked causing him to sigh
"Kay I worked hard as fuck to get to where I am now, I'm not going down especially for Kash's shit." He said causing me to nod
"You're not understanding Zay." I Zay
"Then help me understand." He said causing me to look at him
"I don't get it, you'd risk the career you worked hard to get over Kash ? Everything you worked for ?" He asked causing me to pull him aside
"Zay just don't testify." I told him
"Why, why Kay ?" He asked causing me to sigh and rub my head
"If Kash goes down, I go down with him." I said causing him to look at me

"So if you really do care for me and Lon, you wouldn't testify Zay." I said causing him to lightly laugh

"Nah, I'm saving both of ours." I corrected before walking towards the car
Once I strapped London in, I got in the drivers side before sighing and rubbing my head
Kash-
"Ayo what the fuck is yo problem you been tripping over small shit all day ?" I asked Angel before she crossed her arms
"My problem is that yo ass is a ungrateful ass cheater, like what the fuck Kash ?" She asked before throwing a wine glass towards my head but I loved out the way causing it to shatter
"You fucking crazy." I told her before approaching her
"No I'm what's standing in between you being here right now and you being locked up." She mumbled while looking me in the eyes
"I don't owe you shit." I told her
"Well while you fucking her go ahead and ask her if she's gonna save you the next time, because I won't." She told me causing me to chuckle
"It won't be a next time."
"You sure about that ?" She asked before holding one of the masquerade masks from the party, and she slid it out revealing a small package of dope.
"What the fuck do you want from me?" I asked her before she stepped closer
"You gon stop fucking her, fucking with Kay period, or her ass is going in with you, I promise." She said before walking away
I gave her a glare before pulling out my phone.
Me: kay we need to talk.
Liyah-
"Ok so stiffen out this arm when you go out." Jr instructed and I attempted again
"Aaliyah this is boxing, you swinging like you in the streets, punch straight." He told me causing me to smack my teeth
"I got you." Daivon laughed before standing behind me and fixing my stance. He fixed my arm position before guiding my hand out correctly
"Ok Nigga you a little too close." Jr chuckled causing me to smack my teeth
He loved allowing me to attempt on my own and this time both of them nodded their heads
"There we go." Daivon nodded
"We could body build you, we need to get her on some weights." Jr said causing me to raise my eyebrows
"You pushing it." I laughed before tossing him a pair of gloves
"This ain't what you want." He said before I hit my gloves together and starting bouncing up and down with a stance
"Aaliyah take yo little ass on." He chuckled
"Nah I want my one, we grown and it ain't no parents here to save you this time." I said before getting closer and he mugged me before throwing his gloves on
"Aye yall crazy." Daivon chuckled before stepping out
"I made you." He told me before I threw a punch at his side causing him to slightly flinch
"Yea hoe." I chuckled causing him to smack his teeth before we circled each other

Interrupting me he he lightly swung across my head causing me to fly over a couple of steps and I looked at him like he was crazy
"I told yo ass to get back." He chuckled before we started circling each other again
He blocked my next punch before pushing me back and I got up before we both started swinging at the same time
He eventually got me down and into a head lock as I struggled to move
"That's yo problem, you a hood rat." He said as I continued to fight
"Get yo big ass off of me." I laughed
"You know the rules." He laughed
"Tap out." He told me

He continued holding me for the next five minutes until I grew weak and tapped out.
Once he let go I rolled over out of breath before he hit his chest
"Can't compete with big dog." He chuckled before helping me up and I placed my hands on my hips as I continued catching my breath
Once I caught it I flipped him off before grabbing my shirt and throwing it over my sports bra
Daivon gave me a water bottle before shaking his head.
"What's funny ? You want yo one too ?" I asked causing him to laugh
"I helped train that nigga, this ain't what you want either." He laughed before grabbing his bag.
He had changed into workout looking attire and he had his beats resting on his neck.
"You about to go workout ?" I asked
"Running, just to clear my head from some shit real quick." He shrugged And I nodded
"You should come, I run from here to downtown, then just walk around from there." He offered and j shook my head
"I'd get left, I'm out of shape as you can see." I laughed before he laughed with me
"I won't leave you, we can run and talk, take yo mind off the fact that you're running," he said causing me to sigh and stand up
"Why can I never tell you no ?" I said before we both laughed

Me and Daivon both continued running throughout the city before he eventually stopped to catch his breath.
"I'm suppose to be the out of shape one." I said half out of breath causing him to laugh before he drank his water
"How often do you run ?" I asked
"Every few days, I just like the adrenaline rush." He shrugged and I nodded
"Putting you on to my escape so what's yours ?" He asked
"Basketball, well was." I shrugged
"Well Ima definitely have to drop twenty on you one day." He chuckled before I mugged him
"But real shit, what you need escaping from ?" I asked before he shrugged
"Yo ass." He laughed before taking off again and I smacked my teeth before chasing after him.

Kash-
"We haven't met here since the business days, Kay wanna join up again ?" Brian asked and she rolled her eyes
Me, Ari, Kay, and Brian were all meeting in the old trap. It was the only place I knew no one else knew about and we could talk about whatever without being heard.
"What's going on Kash ?" Ari asked
"And Kay too, you look bothered." She added before we all looked at Kay.
She looked away before shaking her head and crossing her arms
"What ?" I asked
"You go." She told me before we looked at each other in silence
"Angel's talking." "Zay's talking." We both said in sync before looking at each other in sync
"Hold up." Ari mumbled
"Ahhhhhhhhh shiiiiiit." Brian smiled before getting up
"I told y'all niggas, I told both of y'all dumbasses that they were snakes." Brian said before getting up and clapping his hands together
"Brian ain't shit about this funny, what you mean Zay talking ?" I asked
"They offered him a deal, all he has to do is testify to whatever they're saying so he can walk clean from all of this." She said
"Shit we can fix that right now." I said before placing my hand on my Glock and Kay moved it.
"They're using him as a test Kash." Kay said before I looked at her confused
"They would've put Zay in WITSEC if he was a potential witness, Zay has nothing that they want, so they told him all this because they knew he would tell me, I would tell you, and you would retaliate, which links us both." She sighed
"How'd you know that shit?" Brian asked
"Im a lawyer, I know how this shit goes down." She said
"What do you mean Angel's talking ?" She asked
"She saw us fucking in my office and-
"Rewind." Brian interrupted causing me to smack my teeth

"That was before I knew he was snitching, there's nothing for him to find." Kay said before I placed my hands on top of my head
"Fuck Kay." I mumbled before she tilted her head at me

I grabbed my keys before she grabbed me and looked at me.

"I left that gun with you Kay, remember we both had to leave together to go get Lon-
Interrupting me her hand went across my face before Brian grabbed her
"Are you fucking dumb ? You left that shit where our daughter lives ? Nigga where I fucking live ?" She asked before I sighed
"I was suppose to grab it Kay it wasn't on no intentional weird Shit, I just got tied up and forgot, I couldn't have it in the car with me especially with heat breathing down my fucking neck" I explained
"Kash, where is the gun ?" Kay asked
"In a bag inside the toilet back." I replied before she shook her head And turned to leave
"Fucking dumbass." She mumbled

"It's not here." Ari sighed before we all looked at Kash

"Shut the fuck up talking to me." I mumbled before bumping passed him.
"We can figure. This shit out, confront him about it. And go In to find that shit ourselves." Brian suggested
"We ? Nah y'all can figure that shit out, dis include me, because that nigga included me enough." She mumbled before walking back upstairs
"You always fucking some shit up Damn." Brian sighed
"Shut the fuck up, She'll come back around, let's just go get this gun." I sighed before grabbing my keys
"We get it without violence, you heard Kay let's not get her any more involved then she already is." Ari said before they both looked at me
"Why y'all looking at me?"
"Because I thought my ass was trigger happy." Brian mumbled before walking out

"I'm not understanding how y'all expecting to get this gun without putting a cap in his ass." I said and Brian sighed
"If Kay was here she could've went inside and played along until she found that shit." Brian suggested
"But she's not so.." I trailed before looking at Ari and Brian did the same
"Nope, hell nah, our relationship already got fucked up because of you, and we're just now getting back on good terms, im not doing that shit." She said
"We not saying fuck the nigga Ari, just get the nigga hooked, distract him or something." I said before she sighed
Brian pulled up to the store before running in and he ran back out with a bag of wine.
He poured a small amount out before going inside the glove department and tapping a small amount of powder into the bottle before shaking it
"This shit will have him out in less then ten minutes, just figure out a way to get him to have a glass with you, and after he falls out call us to come in." He told Ari before she sighed
"Come on Ari, this nigga could be taking this gun to the station any minute now and we'd all be linked to it." I told her
She rolled her eyes before snatching the bottle before Brian started the car back up and drove towards Zay's
Once she went inside me and Brian duck low enough to not be seen.
"So you gon stop fucking with Kay ?" Brian asked
"Fuck no, but I need Angel to think that I did until I figure something out with her." I said
"You so trigger happy, kill her ass." Brian said before I looked at him
"Nigga what ? Kay been earning yo ass about her since she first came in the picture, you know Kay not going for that side piece shit."
"This ain't that." I told him before he chuckled
"Yea ight."
After a while my phone rung and I expected Ari b it it was one of the niggas from the trap.
"Damn we gotta head out B you got a problem." I said before he sighed
"We can't leave right now, ask that Daivon nigga you be with for now, I'll head over after this." Brian said
Liyah-
I watched as Daivon cracked a egg into his smoothie and I damn near gagged.
"Don't knock it until you try it." He told me before started to Blend.
After he poured it into a cup he offered it to me but I shook my head
"Ain't no way." I chuckled
"It's protein." He cheesed causing me to roll my eyes
His phone rang and he picked it up before sighing
"What ?" I asked
"Yo paps want me to handle something." He said and I furrowed my eyebrows
"I got a question?" I said before he turned to me
"Shoot."
"You got money, and a good career.. why do you keep getting involved deeper and deeper into the streets ?" I asked And he sighed
"It's more of a loyalty thing, Kash comes through, always have." He said before I took his keys out hold his hands causing him to sigh
"He's grown, he can handle it, to them they don't give a fuck about what they do, they just prepare themselves for the come back.. don't let them fuck up everything that you actually worked for." I advised causing him to sigh and nod
