*sabre's pov*
I walk on the cold hard stone, hearing the all to familiar sound of wind searing along the terrain.
I make my way along a small patch of grass, watching as some sheep peacefully rest by a spruce tree.
I continue walking until I reach a steep cliff, at the bottom there's deep water.
I stop to look around.
"I've been looking for a steve for hours now... Still no sign of any..."
It would be great if I could find a steve on his own... Rather than a group or village.
I sigh to myself as I turn to find a way down the steep hill.
As I walk I come across a wierd lapis block mess...
"huh??? What's that...?"
I carefully sneak closer looking down at the lapis cluster.
There's two figures there...
Two... Blue... Steve's....?
"they don't looks like... Blue steve's... Their colors are... Darker???" I whisper to myself.
They look like they're fighting.
Hm... Oop.
One teleported away.
Should I go down there...?
I wanna find out if that is really a blue steve...
I mean. Maybe they're completely different than normal blue steve's.
And it's only one now...
I take out a book and write:
"hello, I just want to know if you're a blue steve. I don't want to start a fight. :)"
There that should do.
I carefully sneak behind the steve and throw the book on the ground.
I back off slowly.
Huh. That steve still hasn't noticed me.
Hm... What can I do to get his attention...
Oh i could knock on the stone with a stick. That's loud enough right?
I carefully knock on the stone wall with a stick 3 times.
The steve turns around and takes a few steps back in surprise.
I point down to the book and crouch a few times to get him to look down as well.
"come on. Look down."
He looks down and picks up the book.
"yes! Now read it- oh wait. You can't hear me... Still. Open the book :))))"
He reads the book.
I wait in anticipation.
The steve just stands there looking into the book.
Oh.
He closed the book and very slowly turns his head to look at me.
Okay.
Welp.
This was a bad idea.
I ready one of my blades with narcotics.
I wait, but the steve just continues to stare at me.
Uh...
Should I say something??
I put down a sign and write on it:
"Hello...???"
I wait for him to respond.
Nothing.
"Welp. Imma go..."
I back off slowly but get cut off my a wall of water.
"nevermind...! ':D"
He hands me the book.
' what are you? '
Uhhhh...
'I am a human.'
That's all I decide to write and hand it back to him.
He takes it, opens it, closes it and then starts walking circles around me.
"you good?" I ask, forgetting that he can't hear me.
He stops again and gives me the book back.
"are you sabre?" I read out loud.
I nod my head, looks like he's heard of me.
I write into the book and give it to him.
'yeah, I'm Sabre. Could I ask you a question?

Why were you and that other steve fighting?'
He hands me back the book.
'he's evil.'
That's all the book says.
I tilt my head to the side.
He seems to understand the gesture.
He takes back the book writes in it and hands it to me.
'he attacked me, and he's evil, he's trying to take over steve kind. So I tried my best to destroy him... But I failed, he managed to teleport away.'
'oh...okay. Well, I'll be on my way then' I write and show him.
The steve seems hesitant about something.
'no' he writes.
'uh... Dude I... I gotta go...back home.'
I write in defense.
He hesitates again but then writes into the book:
'oh, sorry. Yes, you can go, perhaps we'll see each other Again.'
I nod and then turn around to find the wall of water dissapearing and running back into the ocean.
I wave to the steve and climb back up the wall.
As sson as I'm out of view I book it back to the base.
"OKAY! that was a wierd conversation." I say to myself and take out my chat.

UnspeakableGaming: Where do you even keep on getting all that milk???!

Favremysabre: Hey guys, anyone at base?
09sharkboy: I'm out, heading back rn with a surprise.
UnspeakableGaming: I'm at base with moose.
Favremysabre: I'm on my way back.
Favremysabre: I just had the wierdest conversation with a steve, and I'm honestly freaked out about how he was acting towards the end.
ItsMooseCraft: He needs some milk.
09sharkboy: yeah no. He doesn't need milk.
09sharkboy: he needs a restraining order.
Favremysabre: haha lol
I choose to close chat and head back to base.
I spent a good 2 hours walking till I got back.
I finally reach the base and open the door exhausted
I was freaked out and felt watched so about half way back I started running.
"*huff huff* I'm back...!" I call into the makeshift base.
I look around and find that the base has been renovated a bit.
Instead of just stone walls, there's nice looking stone brick walls and floors.
Some red carpet is covering the stone floor so it won't be too cold.
" woah-you guys really expanded..."
I say to myself as I look at the huge space.
They doubled the room we had before...
I like it. There's also some stairs leading down and some leading up.
"Heya sabs!" unspeakable calls out to me.
"hey Nathan...! I see you redecorated." I say taking in some deep breaths.
"yep, this level is just for cooking and storing stuff. The upper floor is where we moved the bedrooms and downstairs is the dungeon." unspeakable finishes with a smile.
"ah nice- wait did you say dungeon???" I ask further.
"yep, shark asked for it. And I was confused as well- until he brought something home that explained it" unspeakable answers with a slight laugh.
I look at him with a wierd look.
He laughs and takes me to the basement.
"hey shark!" the lizard man greets his friend.
"hey! Oh hey sabre, I got you a present!" shark says happily and points to the metal cage.
I look inside and find a green steve, passed out and chained up inside.
"oh! Is for me? 👉👈🥺"
"yeah it's for you, before you went to sleep I overheard you saying something about catching a steve, so incase you couldn't find one, I got you one! :D" shark explains with excitement.
"oh! Thanks-uh... You don't mind if I kill him do you?" I ask with a million thought in my head.
"I don't mind, you can do with it whatever you want, imma go clean my gear, have fun" that's the last thing shark says as he dissapears upstairs.
"hey uh... Unspeakable? Could you maybe get me some butchering gear and a butcher table down here?
" uh... Sure...?"
