"They'll be here any second" Spencer said into his ear, sitting on his lap with her arms around his neck.
"No 'baby'?"
"Shut up" she chuckled.
She loved when they got the chance to be in this position, it was an intimate moment for both of them to just breathe.
"Just a little longer" he held her tighter.
"If we stay a little longer the little guy will show up"
"He's not little and you know that"
"Fine" she smiled, kissing his neck. "The big guy will show up and you'll have to go upstairs" she continued.
She faced him, beginning to get off of his lap.
Remus groaned, setting his head back and holding onto her hips tightly. "Give me a minute" he spoke.
She loved when he got like this.
His mannerisms would change- it was a completely different person from the one that would make her breakfast in bed.
He got possessive, daring even.
Spencer finally felt him, she smiled before saying "how am I barely feeling it?"
"I've had it since you got on" he looked at her.
"Merlin Remus" she chuckled.
"Leave me alone, we haven't had sex in-"
"Don't blame me- you got all macho and wanted to test me" she kissed him.
"Now go take another shower or you'll end up dirtying your trousers."
"I think you should be a bad girl for me, lose and you'll be rewarded" he whispered, laying her down and grinding against her slowly.
"Does daddy want me to be a bad girl?" she said seductively.
"Please" he whispered in the crook of her neck.
"Well tough luck"
"I hate you" he said, raising his head.
"You-" Spencer cut herself off as she heard the front door open. "Need to shower" she smiled looking at him.
"I'll think of you" he said kissing her and getting off.
"You better" she replied as he left the room.
Spencer sat up, picking up a book and pretending to read.
Harry joined her, sitting beside her but not speaking. He picked up a comic.
"Please don't go" Harry whispered after a few minutes.
Spencer faced him, confused.
"You'll see me in a couple days" she smiled.
"Can't you guys work from here?"
"Harry what's up" she turned her body.
"Nothing" he shrugged getting up, ready to leave the room.
"Harry" Spencer stood up, grabbing his hand.
"I don't want to be alone" he murmured.
"Hermione and Ron will be with you" she rubbed his arm.
"Yeah but not you"
Spencer sighed, "yeah" she nodded. "It'll be okay" she smiled. "Because I'll always be in here" she pointed to his heart.
"You're so cheesy" he laughed, taking her hand of his chest.
"Made you feel better didn't it?" she wiggled her brows.
"Whatever" he replied smiling.
As soon as her phone rang, his smile became a frown.
"I'll see you soon okay?" she hugged him.
"Mmh" he nodded.
She hugged and kissed everyone before she left, knowing as soon as she came back her and Remus would have to leave.
They drove together to a restaurant, Spencer was thankful to be in a different setting.
"Sorry mija, I've had a busy say" he apologized.
(Daughter)
"It's alright" she nodded. "I just wanted to see you one more time" she shrugged.
"You did?"
"Y-yeah" she replied. "Remus told me I'd regret it if I didn't call you and I would've because you know" she said quickly.
"I know?" he asked.
"Yeah" she nodded.
"What do I know"
"You know"
"Know..."
"That I care about you" she rolled her eyes. "And I would have regretted it- anyway what's good on the menu?" she wanted to skip over the subject.
Her grandfather smiled and allowed her to skip it.
"You excited for the school year to end?" he asked setting down the menu.
"Sure" she shrugged.
"Sure?"
"I mean- I don't know what I want to do with my life" she shrugged. "There's this girl- her name is Abby and we're good friends. She's going to travel around America after graduation"
"Do you want to travel?" he asked. "I can help you with that if-"
"The thing is I don't know. Why should I know what I want to do with the rest of my life at the age of 18"
"What does Remus think?"
"What does Remus think" she repeated.
"Yeah" he nodded.
"He- well he says it's up to me. He's a big "I don't want to make decisions for you" type of person" she smiled.
"So what if you want to leave him? Travel America by yourself... he'll let you?" he asked.
"Yep" she nodded, taking a sip from her water.
"And what do you think about that?"
"Are you a therapist now?" she chuckled.
"Just curious" he smiled.
"I told him he needs to tell me what he wants- no matter if it's different than what I want" she replied. "He also said that future us will figure out what to do" she added.
"So he plans on staying with you after school then?"
"Mmh"
"That's... are you?"
"Yeah- why wouldn't I?" she chuckled.
"Well- your parents will-"
"I'm not going back with my parents after school" she looked to her side.
"Are we ready to order?" The waitress asked as she walked up to them.
Her grandfather politely smiled and ordered for them.
"What do you-"
"Can we not talk about this now? I'd rather not leave on a bad note" she softly smiled.
"Spencer-"
He cut himself off as he saw the look on her face.
"Fine" he nodded. "What do you want to talk about then?"
"I don't know... what do people talk about?"
"Weathers not bad" he shrugged.
"It's not," she chuckled lightly, "I prefer fall" she shrugged.
"I know" he smiled.
Spencer looked up and awkwardly smiled back
"You and Emily would always jump on the leaves, you'd do it all day if you could" he chuckled.
"Yeah" she nodded. "I miss her" she whispered sadly.
"I do too" he placed his hand below hers, running his thumb over her knuckles.

Spencer stared at the tracks in front of her, awaiting the train.
"Penny for your thoughts?" Remus asked.
"You have a penny?" Spencer asked.
"Sickle?"
"That's nothing" she chuckled.
"Kiss?"
Spencer looked around before replying.
"Kiss later, what are you thinking about?" he lightly hit her side with his elbow.
"Snape"
"What about him?"
"He's mad" she shrugged.
"Why"
As Spencer was about to answer, the train appeared in the distance.
"Also time travel" she added.
"Time travel?"
"Yeah- cool concept" she shrugged.
"What's cool about messing with time"
"Nobody said anything about messing with time Remus" she chuckled. "There's good stuff in life sometimes you know?" She said playfully.
"Complicated" he shook his head.
"You're not wrong" she walked in. "But imagine all the places we could go!"
"Yes! And you can get discriminated as well! How fun" he faked his excitement.
Spencer's enthusiasm quickly went away, realizing he was right. "Damn" she furrowed her eyebrows. "Wait- I can just learn the spell to change the pigment of my skin" she pointed.
"That's... actually not a bad idea" he nodded. "But we can't travel too long into the past" he shook his head.
"Says who?"
"The time... aurors?" he answered.
"And who are they to say we can't travel where we want to?"
"They're the police Spence"
"Fuck the police" she shrugged.
"Ok Lieutenant trouble," he smiled, "fuck the police" he nodded.
"There he is" she chuckled. "You're easy to radicalize"
"It's not a radical idea to not like to police" he shrugged. "I'm not a big fan anyway"
"Why?" she asked, opening a small bag of popcorn she brought from the Burrow.
"Well... you know" he fidgeted with his hands.
"No?"
Remus looked toward the door, hiding in the bathroom seemed like a good idea.
He continued making a plan to leave the cart.
Until he heard Spencer crunching on the popcorn.
He turned around and saw her, smiling as she didn't realize he was looking.
It's Spencer.
She'd understand.
Because she's-
"Hello?" she cut his train of thought, looking up at him.
"Sorry I'm trying to think of how to say it" he answered.
Spencer nodded and looked back down at the bag. She reached it out, offering him some.
He shook his head, making her shrug at his reply.
"When Peter, James, and Lily died they wouldn't tell me anything" he spoke. Spencer looked up and stopped chewing.
"It was a uh- I was busy that night. So I found out the next morning. I... you know, I couldn't believe it" he nodded. "Aurors were everywhere but they wouldn't speak to me. All I'd hear was them speculate about how I helped him."
"It was war and I get it but fuck- who deserves to be treated like that" he shook his head. "I mean they wouldn't even tell me where Harry was for Merlin's sake."
"They were going to arrest me- I wasn't helping myself either. I was angry and confused because I didn't know what had happened. I didn't want to believe what I was told over a letter. A fucking letter Spence." He took a deep breath, calming himself.
"Their house was destroyed. I saw it- everyone did. I just knew nobody made it out alive" he shook his head. "I knew it... it was just-"
"Hard to believe your friend was capable of murder?" Spencer asked.
Remus looked up at her. He stared for a few seconds before nodding his head.
"Dumbledore got there just on time. Just before they were ready to take out the cuffs"
"Kinky" she joked.
"Not those" he chuckled lightly. "I was ready to fight, go to jail, whatever. But he took me to his office and... explained" he continued. "Safe to presume I exploded" he said disappointed in himself. "I yelled and yelled about how it was impossible and this couldn't have happened. Not to them" he gave a sad smile to the floor.
"I was brought in for questioning- obviously. They were not... kind"
"You've cursed in this conversation more than probably the whole time we've been together. I think you can say they were assholes Remus"
"They were assholes" he nodded. "They said the craziest theories- one was about me being in love with Lily and wanting James out of the picture so I gave the location and told Sirius to get Harry and Lily out"
"It was so outrageous I laughed in their face just thinking about how Lily would react" he chuckled.
Spencer laughed. "I thought everyone knew Lily and James were the perfect love story."
"They were, obviously they had their own problems but yeah they were perfect for one another. But again, it was war. People were dying and James wanted to fight, everyone knew James wanted to fight" he shrugged.
"Lily didn't want that?" Spencer asked.
"It's... hard to explain" he answered. "Lily also wanted to fight. She wanted to be part of the cause. And she was for a while but then she got pregnant and wasn't put on assignments as much. So if Lily couldn't-"
"James couldn't" she nodded. "I'm assuming some other day we'll talk about how you guys got these assignments right- the super secret club"
Remus eyes widened, he hadn't even realized he spoke about the order.
"Don't worry- I can keep a secret" she winked. "Back to James" she pointed.
"James would go anyway and Lily would get mad. He'd say it was for Harry, everything was for Harry"
"What made him stop going?"
"Lily was attacked" he nodded. "James was out" he added. "Luckily Lily was with a friend and they got out safe but it really scared James. So he stayed home with them even if it killed him."
"Bad word choice love" she chuckled.
"Yeah the moment it came out of my mouth it really- I realized what I said" he laughed.
"But you know what I mean? It's not like he didn't want to stay with them he just wanted the war to be over so they could go to a park or something. They were stuck inside for so long" he shrugged.
"No yeah- I get what you're saying" she nodded.
"Anyway, the press was having a field day with their deaths and I didn't want any part of it so... I left" he intertwined his hands. "Nobody physically saw me for a long time" he added.
"Anyway- not hard to hate the police" he finished. "Sorry I- kinda dumped that all on you"
Spencer gave him a short smile before shutting the curtains down with wandless magic.
Remus saw them shut and looked back at her.
She stood up and walked over to him.
Spencer caressed his cheek, slowly brining it up and placed a kiss on his forehead.
She stayed there for a couple seconds before sitting back down.
"You didn't dump it on me" she shook her head. "It was something that happened and you're just telling me" she smiled softly. "We said one day" she added.
Remus shook his head in amazement.
"I know" she chuckled.
"I wasn't going to say it"
"What were you going to say then?"
"No one compares," he smiled, "you stand alone."
"Who said that?" she blushed.
"Me" he grinned.
