Graysons POV
I walk over to my locker nervous as hell, not only do I have to hand in health forms for basketball and soccer to the coaches but I'm auditioning for the musical
I open my locker say I get the sheets for the song I picked out, I don't even know what part I'm getting but I'm just gonna wing it
"You ready" I hear behind me, I turn around to see NiNi and E.J
"Yea I'm ready" I say as I close my locker
We start walking down the hall towards the auditorium and I start to get lost in my head
"So who are you auditioning for" E.J says causing me to resist the urge to roll my eyes, he's so nice I'm just jealous
"I don't know, kinda just hoping to get in to be honest" I say as he nods as we stop in front of the doors
"Well I have faith in you" NiNi says causing me to smile at her, she smiles back at me and I begin to get lost in her eyes
"So are we gonna head in" E.J says as he points to the door
NiNi and I look away from each other and nod before heading in and seeing the new drama teacher Miss. Jenn and Carlos sitting at a desk
"Oh hi, are you guys auditioning" Miss Jenn says as she comes toward us
We all yea yes and she claps excitedly
"Great, how about you guys practice your lines and song before everyone comes in" She says causing us to nod and
Everyone gathers in and we get our numbers, as we all head into the back, I look around to see my sister and I smile as I walk up to her
"Hey sis, who are you auditioning for" I say
"Gabriella obviously, who are you auditioning for" She says causing me to laugh a bit
"Anyone they'll give me" I say with a shrug cussing my sister to roll her eyes
"Watch you get Chad of all people, but you'd be a good Ryan" Gina says causing me to playfully push her shoulder
I look over to the mirrors and see NiNi along with Kourtney and E.J sitting there taking, I sigh sadly at the fact that she's taken
"Still fantasizing over NiNi" Gina says causing me to look at her
"Of course I am, why would I be" I say causing me to look back at her
"Well you have someone looking at you" Gina says causing me to look back at her
Gina points back behind me and I turn around to see Kourtney giving me a look, I wave and smile before turning back around to my sister with a freaked out look
"Shit, do you think she knows" I say causing my sister to give me a shrug
"Ok theater people, auditions are ready now come with me" Miss Jenn says as we all excited cheer and head out
We get out there and they start with a dance number, I smirk and look at my sister who looks at me with the same look
My sister and I stand next to each other and they start the music, my sister and I start dancing and I'm starting to dwell more confident
My sister and I have dance backgrounds and and we love doing it, the music ends and we smile we finish the warm up
I get my bottle of water from the ground next to my bag and turn to se my sister talking to NiNi, my eyes widen as they speak for a bit
"Ok everyone let's pair up, not with a friend" Miss Jenn says causing me to go and ask a random girl to pair with me
I look over to where my sister is and just analyze what she's doing, she didn't have interesting speaking to NiNi before and I wonder what she's up too
After we get down with our warm up, Miss Jen has us line up as she gives us roles to read
"Hmmmm your giving me a mix, read for Chad for now" She says as she passes me my lines
I smile as watch her walk over to my sister, I see her hand her the Gabriella one and I silently cheer for my sister
Miss Jenn makes it to NiNi and I see her face shift in disappointment, NiNi thinks for a minute before looking at Miss Jen
"I would like to read for Gabriella" She says causing me to look at her in shock, oh shit
I know how my sister gets when she is in competition and it's not pretty, we're very determined people and when my sister wants something, she gets it
We all separate and start practicing our lines and songs
I read over Chad and I seriously can't imagine myself as Chad bit going for Troy would be backstabbing E.J how I'm cool with......sort of
Everyone starts auditioning and I start to really think about my decision, I wanna get closer to NiNi and what better way to do that then to get the lead in the play
"Ok, first Troy" Miss Jenn says causing me to stand up, I guess I just answered my own question
"Oh Grayson your going for Troy" Carlos says looking at his notes
"Yea, I wanted to give it a shot" I say looking over to E.J who looks at me with a frown
I walk up to the front and take a deep breath before looking over at NiNi and I start singing, (Grayson only sings Troy's part)
I finish and everyone claps, I smile looking towards NiNi and she's looking at me with amazement
"Wow, that's was amazing Grayson" Miss Jenn says causing me to give her a nervous thumbs up
I walk over to where I was sitting and my sister looks at me like I'm stupid, which I am because she is going for my love my characters love interest
"Ok last for Troy" Miss Jenn says and E.J gets up, he starts singing and I watch as he performs but I can't see any raw feelings, he's dull and I'm not saying that because I want his girlfriend
"Wow ok E.J thats was good" Miss Jenn says as E.J walks over confidently, he sits down and NiNi cheers him on
E.J looks back at me and glares a bit causing me to look at him weirdly but he turns back
"Ok we're all done here-" Miss Jenn says but suddenly the doors open and a boy with curly hair and a guitar runs in
"Sorry I'm late, i was stuck in the computer lab but I'm here now" He says looking towards Miss Jenn
"Ok well who are you auditioning for"Carlos says looking at him
"Troy" The boy says as he pulls his guitar out
"I don't really know any songs but I have one that I know" he continues before he starts strumming his guitar
He starts singing and he looks towards NiNi and licks his gaze onto her, I look over to NiNi who looks very upset along with E.J
He finishes singing and Miss Jenn tells him good job and she moves to Gabriella
My sister gets up and performs her song, once she's done I clap excitedly for her, even though I don't want her to get it because of the fact that we play lovers, I still wanna be supportive and if she gets it I'll just ask to play Chad
"Ok Our next Gabriella" Miss Jenn says causing NiNi to get up
NiNi walks up there and freezes up for a bit, she take a deep breath and starts to sing but suddenly the lights go out, I get up with my phone and turn the light on
I walk up to her and shine it in her face to make a makeshift spotlight, suddenly I see the boy from earlier and E.J doing the same as we all look at each other with glares
NiNi starts sings and I can't help but he mesmerized at her voice, she sings her heart out and I can't help but fall for every word she sings
She finishes her song and the lights come on causing me to turn my light off and stare at her proudly
She awkwardly smiles and sits down as Miss Jenn speaks
"Ok I will come up with the cast list and you all can see it when im done" She says as she gets up and heads off with Carlos following her
I look at NiNi who looks majorly uncomfortable as she looks between E.J and the random boy
"Hey you wanna talk while we wait" I say breaking the silence, she nods and we pick up our stuff and head out into the hallway with everyone else
"Thanks for taking me away didn't that" She says thankfully
"No problem, what was that about anyway, you don't have to tell me I'm just wondering" I say curiously
"That guy that came in is my ex boyfriend who is obviously here to win me back" She says
I look at her sadly and put my hand on her shoulder causing her to look at me
"Well I see why he wants you back, your amazing and if I was him, I'd fight to get you back" I say honestly
She looks at me and smiles as I do the same, Carlos comes out and puts the list on the trophy car glass and everyone instantly piles up
I look for my name next to Chad but I don't see mine, I see E.J's, I look over to see a pissed off E.J looking at me
I look back to the sheets and look up to see my name next to Troy, I smile happily as I look down and see Ricky as my understudy
I then look down to see NiNi got Gabriella, I smile as she jumps up excitedly and hugs me, I instantly hug back and look up to see the boy who I now know as Ricky and E.J both looking at me with glares
I smirk as I pull NiNi close and think
Let the competition begin
A/n ouuu long one today, I'm going to sleep now because it's probably like 2 am and I got stuff to do tomorrow
