Daichi turned his head to Kageyama and remembered the situation from that morning at practice. For a moment, the two of them stared at each other with full understanding of the feelings each of them had and worry they had over their Omega's.
It was quiet for a second, the sound of the Fountain beside them offering some calm peacefulness to the situation.
"What do I do?" Daichi asked, breaking the silence as he continued to look at Kageyama and hoping he could offer some type of solution for his mistake.
Kageyama put his head down and stared down at the floor. He wasn't sure himself how to make it better. He knew his apology to Hinata earlier still hadn't been enough since he could still sense some tension between them from how he had been acting.
He thought for a moment and tried to find something that would help both him and Daichi make it up to both Suga and Hinata.
𝙴𝚗𝚍 𝚁𝚎𝚌𝚊𝚙
Suga, Noya, Yamaguchi, and Hinata had all gone to a separate part of the baby store. Suga was trying his best to calm down.
"I knew I should have brought my Taser, " Noya said, attempting to make Suga laugh.
"I could have used it on Daichi, " Suga mumbled, catching everyone by surprise.
Hinata and Yamaguchi looked at each other a little in shock.
"Has Daichi ever done that to you before?" Yamaguchi asked, curious since It was more than rare to see their team captain/ pack leader in such a state of anger. More importantly, it was even rarer to see Suga they're beloved vice Captain, and the one all the younger omega's looked up to in a state of disgust toward his Alpha.
Suga let out a heavy sigh as he picked up a plush polar bear and held it for a moment before turning to the others and nodded.
"once, ironically, in the same mall," he replied, his voice more somber than it had been. Everyone looked at him, hoping he'd share the story.
Suga saw the looks on their faces and couldn't help but to laugh at their curiosity.
"It happened our first year, about two months after being paired together. We came to the mall to buy a birthday present for Daichi's mom. While we were here, I ran into a friend from my JR. High School, who so happened to be an Alpha. Daichi saw us talking and became jealous, " After Suga had finished the story, everyone looked at him.
Hinata felt sympathetic, understanding that situation all too well. He let out a sigh and walked closer to Suga.
"Hinata?" Suga questioned as he saw the look of worry in his eyes.
"You and Daichi will be okay, right?" Hinata asked quietly.
Suga softened his gaze as he looked down at Hinata and gave him a soft smile.
"We'll be okay as long as he stops this foolishness. Are you going to forgive Kageyama?" Suga asked.
Hinata looked down to his feet.
"How'd you know I was still mad?" he asked.
Suga laughed a little before ruffling Hinata's hair.
"Your scent isn't the same, " he replied.
Before Hinata could reply, they heard Noya yell in Excitement, "Over here!"
They turned to find a Noya little ways down the aisle they had been in, holding a baby blanket set that came with a fuzzy white and yellow baby blanket with yellow satin trim and lightning bolts with clouds all over it. It also came with a stuffed bear holding a lightning rod and a matching pair of baby pajamas.
"This is what I'm getting, " he said proudly as he tucked it under his arm so he could carry it.
"We need more than one set since Takeda is having twins, " Suga said while giving a smile to Noya, who was now searching for more lightning bolt baby items.
Yamaguchi, Hinata, and Suga all went towards Noya and looked at the other baby bedding sets and stuffed animals they had.
Yamaguchi found a strawberry set that was exactly like the one Noya had, except it had strawberries in place of the lightning bolts.
Hinata was looking at the stuffed animals and came across some that were decked out in sports attire. His eyes scanned across them until they fell on one that was volleyball-themed.
It was about the size of the palm of Hinata's hand and had a little volleyball between its paws.
Suga was also searching for something that he could get as he stared at the assortment of plushies and blankets. His eyes finally catching a small stuffed white dog. Something about it drew him in as he reached for it and decided it was perfect.
"I think what we have for now is fine. We can come back closer to the baby's due date to get more, " Suga said as he realized they shouldn't go overboard when they probably hadn't come with that much money.
With that, they decided to head up to the cash registers.
Meanwhile, back at the Fountain with the now devastated Daichi, whose guilt was only increasing by the second, and Kageyama, who just wanted to make it up to Hinata for his overprotective behavior.
The two of them were still lost in thought as they tried to find a way to make it up to Suga and Hinata.
Their thoughts were Interrupted when they heard the sound of Tanaka's voice as their group approached them.
"What's with the sad attitude around here?" he asked, receiving a jab from Ennoshita.
"The Captain decided to act like the King, " Tsuki replied. Still irritated with the whole ordeal.
"What happened?" Kiyoko asked in a comforting tone as she took a seat next to Kageyama.
"Daichi made Suga submit to him. And Hinata is still Upset with Kageyama from practice this morning, " Asahi replied, wanting to add some input to their current situation.
"We want to make it up to them, " Daichi said.
"Haven't Both Hinata and Suga wanted to try the new roller rink that opened up?" Ennoshita asked as an idea popped into his head.
Both Daichi and Kageyama nodded in response.
"Why don't we go there before we go get ramen? It's right across the street from the ramen house, and the ramen house is open late, " Eennoshita suggested.
Daichi stood up and gave an approving nod to the idea.
Kiyoko noticed the bags from the party supplies store and remembered the ones that she and Yachi both had in their hands with different menus and even some samples from the food places they had gone to. She looked over the baby store and realized that the rest of the group inside would probably have several bags of stuff as well. Plus, the time of night meant that the busses would stop running soon.
"Yachi and I will go to the packhouse and get the car and bring Narita and Kinoshita back with us and meet you at the roller rink, " she said and received a thankful glance from her Omega, who didn't really want to be on a bus late at night.
"What if we stay here and you pick us back up with the car?" Daichi asked, realizing that they didn't want to carry all the bags they would have to the roller rink.
Kiyoko gave him a nod.
"We should be back in 30 minutes, " She replied and took Yachi by the hand towards the mall's exit.
A few moments later, they saw the four omega's as they came out of the baby store with several large bags. Eennoshita thought maybe it would be best to give Daichi and Suga, and Kageyama and Hinata some space so they could talk.
Luckily both Asahi and Tsuki had the same thought as they stood to meet their Omega's.
"Have you guys been to the new candy store yet?" Eennoshita asked, and everyone came closer.
Yamaguchi looked up to Tsuki.
"I want to go, " he said, and Tsuki nodded.
Tanaka and Eennoshita led the way as everyone besides the two troubled pairs followed. Leaving Dachi and Suga, and Kageyama and Hinata to hopefully find some peace between them.
