(A/N: Just wanted to let you know why I skipped the issues if anybody's going to ask about this. After reading those issues, I don't know where to put Y/N in since I changed the plot where Sally doesn't get roboticized and that Elias is still a king and those secret Freedom Fighters wasn't made or born. As for Silver searching for the traitor, let's just say Y/N had somehow managed to save his world after saving Sally and he doesn't know it. And for Eggman, he had somehow escaped and had been planning on attacking the Freedom Fighters while Snively had left him and broke Iron Queen out of the prison as they both escaped and became part of G.U.N. to redeem themselves. So yeah, that's all I wanted you all to know. It's been hard, but I've decided that all those issues never happened.)

Y/N couldn't believe what she was hearing as she's on a Tornado with Sonic, Kirby, Amy, and T-Pup. While she was just relaxing in her treehouse, she just heard from Sally that the echidnas have been attacked by the Death Egg and needed her to go and save them. Sally, Antoine, and Bunnie had to stay in New Mobotropolis to make sure everyone is safe in case Eggman comes. She's right now feeling worried as they flew closer and closer to the smoking site of Aptos.
"Oh, boy... The echidnas are under attack. Knuckles is not going to be happy about that." Sonic said.
"This is getting ridiculous! He keeps putting others in danger just to slow us down! Now the Death is nowhere to be seen, and the last of the echidnas are suffering!" Amy exclaimed in anger.
"Those echidnas don't deserve this!!" Y/N exclaimed just as angry as Amy.
"Pooteetah!" Kirby agreed, growling.
"Nobody ever said Eggman had class. We'll catch up to the doc later. Take us in for a landing, Tails. Time to dish out some heroics, Team-Fighters-Style!"
Suddenly, the green laser was shot towards them, but Tails was able to dodge it as he turned the plane to the side.
"WHOA!"
They all turned to see a robotic version of Knuckles flying towards them.
"Oh, cute! Now there's a Metal Knuckles! At least the doc is giving me a variety of things to smash!"
"Wait, Sonic!!" Y/N tried to stop him, feeling that this robot is not what it seems but it was too late.
Sonic jumped off the Tornado and tried to attack Metal Knuckles with his spin dash when he was knocked away by its metal claws.
"Sonic!!" Y/N and Amy shouted.
The robot then flew up to the Tornado and dug its claws onto the side of the plane.
"Whoa! Stop wrecking my plane!" Tails shouted.
Amy and Y/N knocked Metal Knuckles away with their hammer and giant fist whip. Tails made the Tornado go into a dive as Y/N caught Sonic by the hand.
"He hit the fuel tank! T-Pup, see if you can stem the fuel loss while I land us!"
"Yip!" T-Pup said.
Tails brought the plane down as they all prepared themselves for a crash as Kirby held onto Y/N. Then, they crashed into the ground, but were unharmed or hurt.
"Oogh..." Amy groaned out, feeling dizzy.
"Y'know what they say—any landing you can walk away from..." Sonic said, getting off the plane.
"Yeah-Yeah-Yeah... Ugh..." Y/N groaned.
"Pooteetah..." Kirby groaned as his three eyes rolls in dizziness.
"How bad is it?" Sonic asked Tails who's checking on the Tornado.
"We're not leaving the island any time soon. But with our tracker on the Death Egg, we won't have trouble finding it again. T-Pup can handle most of the repairs and keep an eye on things while we check the situation here in the ruins, right, boy?"
"Yip-Yip!"
Amy pointed at the damaged city ahead.
"Looks like there's a residential area under lock-down up ahead. We should get an idea on how bad things have gotten."
Y/N, Kirby, Sonic, Tails, and Amy snuck into the city and hid behind a bush as a tank rolled past them.
"Looks like it's pretty bad." Y/N whispered.
"Yeah... Dibs on the tank!!"
Sonic jumped out of the bush and attacked the tank with a spin dash. The rest of them were right behind him as Amy knocked out the Legionnaires with her hammer, Tails hit them with his twin-tails, Y/N fighting them off as she tripped them off with her whip while hitting them mercilessly, and Kirby tickling them before punching them in the faces. Some of the Legionairs tried to make a run for it, but they were stopped by Remington and a few male echidnas pointing their guns, spears, and arrows at them.
"Alright, hands where we can see them. Surrender quietly and nobody gets hurt." Remington said.
Soon all the Legionnaires were tied up as the Freedom Fighters meet Remington.
"Hey! Remington, right?" Sonic said, shaking hands with him.
"Yes. You need no introduction, Sonic. I know you as well Y/N and Kirby. Thanks for beating us to the punch. I didn't really have a plan for a tank."
"No prob. It's what Freedom Fighters is all about."
Y/N elbowed him.
"Give it a rest!"
"I'm Amy Rose."
"Hi! I'm Tails!"
"It's a pleasure and an honor. I've been trying to reach Angel Island for days to no avail. But I'll be happily take all the help I can get." Remington said.
"Er... Anyone besides Knuckles might be hard to come by, Remmy. What's the situation here?"
"Stable up until a few days ago. The victims of the day of transit had all gotten together and made a functioning community, including those who left Lien-Da. A handful of surviving tribesmen here helped the rest of us deal with our more... rustic environment. And my troops have done their best maintaining peace and keeping order. Things were going well, all things considered. Three days ago, Lien-Da invaded with support from Dr. Eggman. After the initial attack, Eggman moved on. Lien-Da chose to stay behind with all her troops. The only Eggman tech she kept was that robot version of the Guardian. My troops are well-organized, but we couldn't stand against that kind of firepower. The enemy captured the matriarch and most of the citizens. The few we could rescue are secured in that residential area where we met. We've been trying to liberate more while taking down enemy troops where we can. Our base camp is here in this theater."
"We saw your defenses. They're good, but they won't hold against the heavy artillery." Sonic said.
"I know. We've been organizing an escape to the mainland, and we plan to hide the citizens in the Mercian Forests and appeal to the king. I know Elias will help you out. And now that we're here, we can bump up your time-table." Amy winked.
"Thank you. Having you here helps more than you can know. That said, I was hoping for more prompt support from Angel Island."
"I know you were kinda out of it at the time, but remember how Angel Island got hit pretty hard by Eggman? They're more rustic than you guys right now." Sonic said, feeling uncomfortable.
"You said something about Knuckles' kin?"
"Yeah, no. He's all that's left."
Remington suddenly loved devastated as he place his hand on his head.
"I.. I didn't realize... They're all gone?"
Y/N elbowed Sonic, glaring at him.
"Nice tact!"
"Pooteetah!" Kirby glared.
"Well, sorry! Do you have a better way to break that kind of news?"
A tear came out of Remington's eye. Tails places a hand on his shoulder.
"We need to focus on the present. What do you need to do?"
"You're right. Our main objective now is to rescue the matriarch... and as many civilians as we can. With a few preparations, we should be ready to move."

A few minutes later, Sonic and Y/N crashed through the wall surrounding the Legion's base.
"Woo-hoo!"
"Knock, knock!!"
The rest of the Freedom Fighters and the echidnas were right behind them.
"Most civilians are in the Prison Eggs in the courtyard!" Remington shouted.
"You and your men get them out! We'll covered you!" Amy shouted.
Just then, a tank rolled out. Sonic goes towards it.
"Tank! I called it!"
But Tails beat him to it as he sliced through the tank, exploding it.
"Aw..."
"Ha!!" Y/N laughed, giving Tails a quick high five.
Remington and his men freed the prisoners from the Prison Eggs.
"Head for the hole in the wall! We'll cover you!"
"The matriarch and her advisors aren't among them, sir." Female Echidna said.
"They must be inside. Take your squad and the survivors to the neighborhood, then straight to the docks. We'll cover you here and catch up."
"Yes, sir!"
Suddenly, the turret from the roof fired at them, knocking them away.
"Somebody take out those guns!"
Tails flew up and took down the Legionnaire that fired them from the turret.
"These guys just aren't the same as fighting Badniks..." Amy said, hammering them away.
Sonic punched one in the face.
"That's what I've been saying all this time!"
Y/N flipped one over her shoulder as Kirby jumped on him and elbowed the Legionnaire straight in the belly.
"They need to be stopped though!!"
Remington ran up to them.
"The matriarch and other high-level targets must be inside. We need to push deeper."
"Might as well kick all the butts while we're here, right?" Sonic asked.
Just then, a few glowing blue pillars came out from the ground.
"Uh... Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"
The pillars started shooting out electricity.
"YOW! Bad thing!"
Y/N quickly bubbled herself and Kirby from the electricity and noticed Remington's men were completely frozen from the shock while the Legionnaires are the only ones who can move like they're electric proof.
"It's paralyzing defensive grid. Eggman's army has a building resistance!" Tails exclaimed, flying up to avoid the electricity.
Amy smashed one of the pillars with her hammer.
"I've got my own resistance right here!"
Y/N helped out by destroying a few more pillars with her giant fist whip and with the help of Remington who did the same to the pillars, freeing Remington's men. Lien-Da then came out of the building.
"You shouldn't have come here, Sonic. This doesn't concern you."
"Lady, any time Eggman or his goons are oppressing anybody, it becomes my business!"
Sonic jumped to attack her when Lien-Da swung an electric whip at him, which he quickly dodged it. Her eyes glowed blue.
"WHOA!"
She swung another whip, but he dodged that too.
"Since when could you do that?!"
"When Eggman rebuilt me, did you think he'd just stop at my pretty face? I've got too much at stake to let you ruin things now! You're dead, hedgehog! Along with your sister!"
"You've got a neat trick, I'll give you that, but it's not enough to stop me!"
Lien-Da smirked.
"Maybe not..."
Suddenly, Metal Knuckles came crashing through the roof, landing next to her.
"But Metal Knuckles should swing things in my favor."
"Oh. Yeah. That might make things harder for me."
Metal Knuckles then hit Sonic in the face, knocking him out. Y/N gasped among seeing that and growled, bringing out her pink shield. She then threw it towards Metal Knuckles as it hit it in the head, getting its attention. Y/N then strongly knocked Metal Knuckles away as it crashed into the pillar. Lien-Da smirked at her in amusement.
"Heh! You think you can beat me?"
"I don't need to think I can. I know I can beat you."
Y/N brought out her whip as it's now whip against the whip. They stare at each other, waiting for each other to make a move until Lien-Da strike first, but Y/N dodged that and swung her whip towards her, but she dodged that as well. As they fight, Metal Knuckles got up and saw Y/N and was about to attack when Amy knocked it away with her hammer.
"Leave her alone!"
Tails fly over to the machine as he messed with the wires.
"Shutting this down isn't enough. If I can find a way to turn the frequency back on them... This is a mess! Wait, if I patch this through to here, I can—"
What he didn't noticed is that those electric zaps behind him as it hit towards the machine, knocking Tails away.
"YOW!"
The electric pillars that aren't destroyed began to electrified everyone, including Tails, Amy, Metal Knuckles, Kirby, Y/N, and Lien-Da. Once it finally stopped and shut down, everyone collapsed on the ground losing their conscious.

"Y/N. Y/N. Y/N! Y/N!!!"
Y/N hear a voice calling out to her as she was starting to come back. She felt a light tap on her face and she opened her eyes to see Knuckles cradling her. When he saw that she was okay, he sighed in relief and hugged her tightly.
"Thank goodness you're okay."
Y/N hugged him back and reply.
"You should know that I'm not going anywhere."
He smiled and helped her up. Y/N turned to see Sonic, Amy, Tails, and Kirby are up and okay as they look pretty damaged and bruised up.
"What happen to you guys?"
"Last thing I remember was fighting Metal Knuckles..." Sonic groaned, holding his head in pain.
"Metal Knuckles...?"
Knuckles then smirked at him, crossing his arms.
"Huh. Well, since I can mop the floor with you..."
"Dude. Shut the face." Sonic pouted, making Y/N snicker.
"Espio's been keeping tabs on New Mobotropolis. How goes the hunt for Eggman?"
"Working on it. Had to save your people first."
"About that— What happened to you five? Did you decide to take a nap?"
"No, it wasn't anything that pleasant..." Tails said.
"The only thing I can remember before I was knocked out was fighting Lien-Da..." Y/N said.
"Pooteetah..." Kirby said, holding his head in pain.
"I can't say for certain, but I'd theorize that—" Tails started.
"So we took a forced time-out. Big deal. Let's get back to it." Sonic said, stretching himself.
"Ugh... I feel like I got hit with my own hammer..." Amy grunted.
"But if there were so many echidnas fighting here, where did they all go?" Knuckles asked.
They all turned to see the spot where the echidnas were supposed to be are suddenly gone as all that's left is the weapons that's been dropped.
"If everyone's gone, who moved us...?" Amy asked, eyes wide.
"I don't know, but this doesn't look good." Y/N said, looking around for any sign of them, especially Kneecaps that she's looking forward to see him again.
"No-No-No— Hold on a second! We were fighting side-by-side with a bunch of your echidna buddies against those jokers in the black pajamas and your crazy great-half-aunt, or whatever." Sonic said, not believing they would be gone just that.
"You were the only ones here when I found you. I've been seeing some devil dogs around, and some flashes of lights, but that's all." Knuckles pointed out.
"Devil dogs?? We've never seen them before." Y/N said, feeling suspicious about this.
"Pooteetah, pooteetah." Kirby said, having a bad feeling.
"This is too weird. There were some refugees heading for the docks maybe everyone headed that way." Sonic guessed.
"No. The docks were empty. I've got a bad feeling about all this. I want back-up. Tails, can that thing do long range communications to Angel Island?"
"Sure. I'll set him up."
Tails then got T-Pup to turn to Knuckles as its tail activate into those signals as its eyes swirl around. Knuckles bend down to T-Pup with uncertainty.
"Uh... Okay, then. *ahem* Do you read me, Julie-Su? It's Knuckles. I need the two of you on the mainland. Hello? Can you read me?"
There were no replies from Julie-Su or anyone. This made Y/N even more worried as her heart began to beat fast.
"No response. Patch me through to Nicole. She would've spoken to my teammates last."
"Sure. Just a second."
Tails pressed T-Pup's tail and its eyes glowed green to reveal the hologram of Nicole.
"Nicole! It's Knuckles. I can't reach anyone on the island."
"Neither could I, but you left before I could tell you. Maybe she intercepted the signal, first, and went ahead of you?"
"No. Vector and I have the only warp rings. Something is very wrong." Knuckles said, clenching his fist in anger.
"Sure is. C'mon, we'll search the island together. No more surprises. You mentioned the flashes of light earlier. Think those might've been warp rings? Y'know— Doc Finns-whatsit?"
"Finitevus. It crossed my mind, but if it was him, why would he leave you alone? He's got just as much reason to hate you, too."
"Good point. So who else has a warp ring?"
"I have my special warp ring, but I never use it. I was just knocked out like everyone else."
They began to ran off.
"I can think of one guy, but I don't know why he'd be here." Knuckles said.
Y/N was about to ask who that guy is when Tails shouted to them.
"Hold up! I see someone!"
They stopped to see the devil dogs that Knuckles mentioned earlier and besides them is a Mobian Tasmanian Devil colored in a purple due. He has yellow eyes, and a jagged-fur pattern on his chest similar to a customized "V" shape. He has a beige colored muzzle, and a hairstyle resembling both Sonic's quills and Knuckles' dreadlocks. He has green gloves and shoes with grey, metal squares identical to those of Knuckles' boots. He has a pair of black cuff on each of his gloves and a pair of fangs. He was in front of the warp ring as he removed his hands from it and patted his gloves.
"And that's the last of 'em." he said with a smirk.
Knuckles slid down the ground towards him.
"Thrash! You are here! You better have some answers!"
"This the guy you were talking about a second ago?" Sonic asked, pointing at Thrash.
"Yeah. We were in Downunda. He was helping out the Freedom Fighters there."
Thrash leaned against the warp, smirking with his arms crossed.
"Right-O. And after that bit of business, I took up me old quest. Which is now all done, thanks in part to you, Knuckles."
"Thanks to me?"
"What do you mean by that?" Y/N demanded, glaring at him.
"You let me keep that warp ring I found after our little adventure in Downunda. That helped me take care of those girls you had posted at the Master Emerald... and that helped me take care of all the echidnas in yer homeland."
Knuckles' and Y/N's eyes widened.
"All of... What do you... Where are they?"
"Gone. Never to trouble this world again."
Just as Thrash was about to snap his fingers, Y/N without thinking twice ran towards the warp ring, surprising everyone and jumped into it, ignoring everyone's call to her before it shrink back to the normal size as soon as Thrash snapped his fingers as he was just as shocked as everyone else.
"What did you do?! Where is she?!" Knuckles demanded.
"Pooteetah!!!" Kirby screamed.
"That fool! Looks like she's gone as well. Oh well... So thanks. Now we're even."
Knuckles tackled Thrash to the ground and held him by the throat.
"BRING THEM BACK! BRING THEM BACK! NOW! BRING Y/N BACK!"
Great... Where did Y/N had gone off to now?
