Newt's POV

I woke up before everyone else.

I got up and walked over to where (Y/N) slept.

She was so peaceful when she slept.

Oh shuck, I love her so much.

I went over to her, bent down onto my knees and kissed her softly on the lips.

I placed my hand on her cheek.

Her eyelids fluttered open and I said, "Good morning love."

"Good morning Newt. What are you doing up so early?" She said.

"Um... I-I need to tell you something love." I stuttered.

"What is it Newt?" She asked.

"Follow me." I said.

She got up and I went to the Deadheads.

When we got there I turned to her and said, "(Y/N), I-I really like you. I..."

"What is it Newt?" She asked.

Before I knew what I was doing I was kissing her.

I pulled back and said, "I love you."

She blushed and put her right hand on the back of my neck.

She kissed me me on the cheek and said, "Newt".

She kissed me on the other cheek and said, "I love you too."

Then she kissed my lips and I kissed back.

She smiled into the kiss.

She wrapped her arms around my neck and kept kissing me.

After another minute or so we pulled away, gasping for air.

We smiled at each other.

"I love you." (Y/N) said and pressed her lips against mine again.

"I love you too." I mumbled against her soft lips.

We pulled back again.

By this time the other Gladers were waking up.

"We should head back love." I said.

"Yeah." She said.

Your POV

We stared heading back, fingers interlocked.

"Newt?" I asked.

"Yes love?" Newt said.

"How did you get that limp?" I asked.

He stopped and looked at me.

He sighed.

"I jumped off the Maze wall. I was nearly dead. Alby found me though. (I think). I hated this place. I still do. You're the best thing that ever happened to me." Newt said.

I smiled at the the last part sentence, then frowned.
