Ramona rolled her eyes, slamming her locker shut. "I've got somewhere to be, so out of my way. Please."

Billy smirked, licking his teeth, "Say please again."

"Fuck off." Ramona rolled her eyes, pushing past him and making sure to knock her shoulder against his, despite being much shorter.

She could feel Billy's eyes on her as she walked away, but she didn't care.

"Nancy!" Ramona greeted with a smile, "Jonathan."

Nancy nodded in a greeting, smiling at the shorter girl. "Ramona, hey."

"Oh, thanks for watching Will the other day." Jonathan thanked her, reaching into his pocket to hand her a five dollar bill.

"Oh, no, no. Jonathan, really. You don't have to. He's like a brother to me." Ramona shrugged, pushing his hand back. "Honestly, J."

"Fine." Jonathan sighed, shoving the money back into his pocket.

"Have you seen the new guy?" Nancy asked, leading Ramona and Jonathan outside of the school.

"The asshole. Yeah-"

"Super suspicious, right?" Nancy waved her hand after getting into Jonathan's car.

She would be getting a ride from Steve, but he didn't show up for school. Ramona wasn't surprised one bit by that.

"I mean, what?" Jonathan turned the key in the ignition, turning to look at her.

"New guy shows up, right after Will starts having these episodes again-" Nancy began to explain, waving her hands back and forth.

"Are you tryin' to say that this.. Billy guy is a spy? For the government?" Ramona rose her eyebrow, leaning back in the carseat. "C'mon, Nancy-"

"Yes!" Nancy seemed exasperated as she spoke. "It makes sense!"

"That's.." Jonathan trailed off.

"Increíblemente loco, ¿estás loco?" Ramona spoke in Spanish, tilting her head to the side.

Nancy gave her a look, having a vague understanding of what she said, "No! It makes sense."

"Does it really?" Jonathan eyed her as he pulled out of the parking lot.

"Yes! I mean, he shows up in high school, all over Ramona, spying on her, obviously!" Nancy clapped her hands together, "Because you were involved with this, too. I'm sure Jonathan or me is next, and who knows? Maybe someone is spying on Mike, Lucas, Will, and Dustin, too-"

She shared a look with Jonathan, "Nance, you're loco."

"Stop calling me crazy, Ramona." Nancy scoffed, shaking her head.

"I'll stop when you stop being crazy." Ramona shrugged, pulling out her lipstick and slowly reapplying it, using the small mirror she carried to see herself.

Silence fell over the three of them as Jonathan drove to the Jet City diner.

Ramona leaned her head on the window, staring up at the darkening clouds.

"It'll rain." She spoke the obvious. "Oh, and do you need me to watch Will again?"

"Not tonight. In a few days, though." Jonathan turned on his blinker as he pulled into the diner.

Ramona shook her head no as she opened the car door. "Nah, I'll walk home. I like the silence."

Nancy smiled at her as she left. "See you tomorrow, Mona."

Ramona nodded, "Later, losers."

She slammed the car door behind her,  earning a loud groan from Jonathan, followed by a yell. "Don't slam my doors!"

"Sorry!" Ramona laughed before spinning on her heel and walking over to the diner.

The bell rang when she opened the door. Her deep amber eyes scanned the room, and she let out a quiet groan when her eyes fell upon the figrue sitting at the counter.

"Great.. Harrington."
