Funny how they only listen
If you're dead or beautiful.
If you are dead,
They put on a big façade and act like they cared.
They teach us not how to fight,
But how to surrender
Because they'd prefer another suicide to another abuse story.
That's all we are to then,
Another story, another know to the already crumbling system,
That's meant to protect us.
But so far its caused more deaths than lives saved,
And I'd apologise if I was incorrect.
But in these awful 16 years that I've been forced to live through,
I've seen too many things to come up with any other god damn conclusion.
Because in this world,
The only way they listen,
Is if you're dead or beautiful.
And I'd rather be dead,
Than conform to society's standards.
I'd rather be dead.
