In this last phase, we are able to make peace with the loss. This peace may not come all at once, but rather gradually as the days go by and phases pass.
Acceptance may be all flowers and cupcakes, but there is still a bitter taste of sadness still lingering around. Making peace with the loss, letting go of the relationship, and slowly moving forward with your life are just some aspects of the acceptance phase.
Sometimes, this phase feels like it's never going to come around, but when it does, oh boy does it feel great.
