The crowd was roaring but Anastasia could only hear the sound of her own heartbeat. Taking a deep breath to calm herself she feels a firm hand on her shoulder causing her to turn around to face her coach.
As her coach gives her some final words of advice. Anastasia takes off her skate guards handing them to her coach before taking off her jacket as the door to the rink is opened for her.
As she takes her first steps onto the ice she goes into autopilot, skating around the rink warming up again as her name and country are called over the loudspeaker.
As she skates into the middle of the rink getting into her starting position. As her heart race picks up again causing her to struggle to control her breathing her mind goes blank as her music starts.
