SOLACE

That's who I am.

Ilkay calls me Sol.

Don't call me Sol.

Only he can call me that.

I am The Sun.

Yeah. That big, firey ball of gas up in the sky.

Ilkay and I battle.

When I win it's Day.

When he wins it's Night.

He looked truly happy.

Truly beautiful.

Then he saw me.

His face fell.

I sighed, knowing we would have to fight soon.

I went up to him.

"Guess it's time?" I said.

"Yeah... I guess..."

He seemed.... sad... almost...

That's how he always seemed when we battled.

"Ready?" he asked.

I nodded.

The truth was, I was lying.

I was not ready. I wasn't ready for us to start fighting again. I wasn't ready for his harsh words, assuring me of his hate.

I wasn't ready to see him hurt again.

I certainly wasn't ready for what he did next...
