Chapter 46

(A/N: I really don't appreciate people demanding me to update. You can Unfollow me all you want. I don't care. I used to update all the time because it was summer, I have school now. "Ava Johnson, will you marry me?"

I couldn't even say anything. There was so much running through my mind when he asked me that question. I tried nodding but I couldn't do that either!

"Well....."

I took a deep breath,"Y-Yes. YES! Oh my gosh a million times yes!!"

He flashed that kool aid smile I always loved and put the ring on my finger. After, he immediately stood up and lifted me up in his arms. "Thank you so much Ava! You won't regret this at all!"

"IM GETTING MARRIED", I yelled knowing no one could hear me.

As soon as he set me down, I grabbed my phone from the bag. I dialed my moms number and she answered within the first 3 rings.

"MOM. IM GETTING MARRIED!!!!", I yelled into the phone.

"What?! Ava!! I'm so happy for you!", she shouted.

"Yeah he just asked me right now on the beach! The sun was setting too... It was just the perfect moment", I smiled.

"MY BABY IS GETTING MARRIED EVERYONE!!", she shouted again. I heard multiple claps and congratulations on the other line.

"Where are you?", I asked.

"In the line at the grocery store..."

"Oh.. You're so embarrassing", I laughed. "Anyways, I have to go now. I love you!"

"I love you too honey", she said before hanging up.

When I turned back around, out stuff was all packed up. "Ready to go Mrs. August?", Chres chuckled holding out his hand.

I picked up the last two bags and put my hand in his,"More than ever."

"AHH! THERE'S A SPIDER IN HERE!!", I yelled jumping around. It was crawling across the wall in the room. Lord knows how much I hated bugs and insects. Chres laughed and got a piece of paper. "What are you doing??"

He let the spider crawl onto the paper then opened the window. "If I kill it, the family will come looking", he joked and tossed it out. I let out a sigh of relief and finally relaxed. He laid down beside me and pulled my arms. I climbed onto his lap and tried to lean down to kiss him.

"I can't even kiss you. My stomach is in the way", I frowned.

"Well you don't have to lean down to--", I stopped him.

"Don't say it", I warned.

"Say what??", he paused. "Fuck?"

I slapped his chest,"I said not to!" He laughed and rubbed his hands on my stomach.

"The baby says he wants some action", he smiles.

"That is the most disgusting thing I've heard anyone say in my life."

"Sorry... But really though. Please?? Can we try?"

"Let me call the doctor", I said and grabbed my phone. As the phone was ringing, he started grinding. I pressed down on his hips. "Stop."

"Stop what?", the person on the other line said.

"Oh sorry.. Um can I speak to Ms. Jenkins please?", I asked. The lady agreed and put me on hold.

"If she says we can't have sex, you know we're still going to right?", he asked smirking.

I ignored him and waited for my doctor to answer. "Hello Ms. Johnson", she greeted.

"Hi. Oh, it's Mrs. August now by the way", I said smiling. I'd have to get used to that.

"Congratulations! You must be really happy", she said.

"Thank you.. I am. I have a question though", I said.

"Yes?"

"Can we uh- have sex... While I'm pregnant? Can it harm my baby in any way", I asked nervously.

"It's perfectly safe! It doesn't harm your baby in any way. Actually, many of my patients said it felt way better during their pregnancy. It really just depends on the person", she explained.

"Okay... Thank you Ms. Jenkins.", I said before hanging up.

"What did she say?", he asked.

"She said its perfectly safe and it won't harm the baby", I said laughing. He looked so anxious.

"Does this mean........"

"Tomorrow babe. I promise. I'm not in that mood right now", I laughed.

"Fine", he sighed,"But I'm not waiting another day after that."

Just then my phone started ringing and I climbed off of him. "Hello?", I answered.

"Hi Ava", he said. I knew who it was. I knew his voice anywhere.

"Why are you calling me? How did you even get my number?", I asked with irritation. Chres tapped me to try to ask who it was but I ignored him.

"I heard you were getting married... There's a lot we need to talk about", he sighed.

"And I'm pretty sure you heard I got kidnapped too huh? But did you bother to call me then? So there's nothing we need to talk about."

"Ava please listen to me. Just hear me out. You don't understand what was going on", he begged.

"I fully understand. I understand that you left me and mom at the time we needed you the most. I understand you cleaned out our bank account and took all our money. Don't tell me that I don't understand!", I yelled.

"Ava just.... Please. I really want to talk to you", he said.

"Fine. You can come over here. I'm pretty sure you know where I live since you're already stalking me."

"I'm not-- it's a long story. I will come tomorrow."

"Bye", I said trying to hurry and get off the phone with him.

"I love you Ava. Bye."

I hung up and put my phone down on the dresser. I mean, I still loved him too. It was impossible not to no matter what he did.

"Who was that?", Chres asked.

"My dad."

"You have a dad?... Well of course you do but you never talk about him", he said.

"There was no need to after what he did. He left us a long time ago with nothing. He took all our money and everything. We got kicked out our house so we had to stay with other family. For 3 years, we were jumping from house to house, shelter to shelter, until my mom had enough money to get us a small apartment... And now we're here."

"You at least need to hear what he has to say. Everything happens for a reason, you know? You do that too much... Never listen to people", he said.

"I know, I know. That's why I told him to come over tomorrow."

"Good! Now change of topic. I'm ordering pizza. Pepperoni or cheese?", he asked.

"Half and half.. With stuffed crust", I smiled. No matter what though, my mind was set on tomorrow.
