Chapter 1

I'm here at the airport waiting for my aunt because she's coming home. My brother, Noah, was supposed to pick her up, but he said he's busy and has somewhere to go, so I volunteered to pick up Auntie.

I don't know where to wait for Auntie, so I messaged kuya Noah kung saan ko banda aantayin si tita.

Habang tinitingnan ko ang paligid, bigla akong nakakita ng pamilyar na babae, kaya lumapit ako para tingnan ko nang mabuti kung si tita nga iyon.

Na-surprise ako tita elise looks so beautiful now.

A lot of guys and even some girls were looking at her. I can't blame them, kahit ako na patutula.

I was about to approach when I saw a man looking at tita elise with a different gaze, the kind of look from perverts.

Balak ko sanang lapitan pero someone grabbed me when I turned around, it was tita elise.

"Don't cause trouble here." She said habang hinahatak ako palayo sa pervert na yon.

"But Auntie, you saw how he was looking at you, he was disrespecting you." Galit kong sinabi sa kanya habang inalis ko ang aking kamay sa kamay niya.

"I know, just let it go."

"Anong pabayaan? Tita are you okay? Nakita mo naman diba."

"I don't care, it's just stares anyway, that's it."

She walked away as if nothing happened.

"Anak ng!" I said it weakly.

Tinawag ko siya at tinanggal ko ang aking blazer para ipasuot sa kanya hindi siya nagreklamo at kaagad niya rin sinuot.

She turned away from me and started walking.

I'm annoyed, it's like it's okay for her that guy treated her like that earlier siguro kung hinde niya ako pinigilan, I would've punched him.

"Auntie, where are you going? The exit is over here."

Nagbibiro lang ako kasi gusto ko lang siyang makasabay sa paglalakad, ang bilis kasi niya.

"It was just a joke. You're right about the direction,you walked so fast kase."

"I'm not in the mood to be joked around like that."

"Joke lang naman galit agad." I could see from her face na hinde talaga siya nagbibiro kaya nanahimik nalang ako.

She broke the silence by asking me a question.

"How's sister by the way?"

"Mom is busy with work, sometimes she can't come home."

"Auntie, how are you in Canada?" I asked as we were getting into my car.

"It's okay."

"I'll stay at your place for now because I'm just about to buy my condo." she said.

"Okay."

Pinagmasdan ko siya sa salamin ng kotse ko at napansin ko na tila may pagbabago sa ugali ni tita. Parang bihira na siyang ngumiti at palaging galit. Hindi ko mabasa ang kanyang mukha, it's difficult.

We arrived home, and I carried her suitcase pinauna kona rin siyang pumasok dahil i papark ko pa yung car ko.

I parked the car, and I went inside the house to cook hotdogs for Auntie.

"Auntie, are you eating hotdogs?"I asked.

"No."

"What are you going to eat? I can only cook hotdogs and eggs, and pancit canton." I smiled at her.
