"I'll work with her, she'll get it" Bonnie smiled towards the Gilbert to which she reciprocated

"I guess I could put her in the back" Caroline muttered more to herself, making Florence sigh

"You don't seem like the cheerleading type Elena and Florence, you don't cheer as well?" Damon asked, making Florence grit her teeth silently and shake her head no

"It's just because both of their parents died and Florence's brother went missing. Florence is more into Arts, but she said she was going to try Cheerleading, but they're just going through a blah phase, but they both used to be way more fun and I say that with complete sensitivity" Caroline says making the Evans girl avert her eyes and glare at the ground, curling her hand up into a fist

"I'm sorry Florence and Elena, i know what it's like to lose both your parents, in fact Stefan and I have watched almost every single person we've cared about die" Damon says but Florence practically ignores his existence

"We don't need to get into that right now Damon" Stefan intervined shortly

Florence's palm was starting to bleed and Damon frowned

"Florence, you alright?" Damon asked, surprising Stefan and suspicion rising inside of him

Florence looked at her hand and realized that fingerprints and blood were there, so she stood up, "Yeah, I'm going to wash my hand. Don't follow me" She said when she noticed that Bonnie and Elena were getting up as well

"Caroline" Bonnie sighed

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean it the way I did"

Florence sighed, "Does any of you not know the meaning of 'Don't follow me'?"

"Figured you would have calmed down by now, and besides wanted to check up on you" Damon shrugged. Florence hummed in response and reached for the glass, only for it to slip out of her grasp "Nice catch" Damon smirked when Florence's reflexes kicked in and caught the glass

"Perks of catching and killing vampires, so if I were you, I wouldn't try anything" Florence smirked and rubbed the glass with soap

"Don't worry, you'll know when I will" Damon smirked when he caught Florence's piercing glare

Damon continued "You know I like you —" But he was interrupted when she replied with a 'Wish I could say the same' "— you know how to laugh and you and Elena make Stefan smile which is something I haven't seen in a long time"

"Hmm I wonder why" She said sarcastically "Hey I have a question" She asked suddenly

"Shoot" Damon replied shortly

"You were talking about Katherine earlier weren't you?" She inquired hesitantly as if she was going to hurt his feelings

"Mm—hm" Damon confirmed taking the glass out of Florence's hands to dry it

"How did she die? Was she a vampire like you? Did any of you date her? Which — "

"Alright, alright calm down Sherlock Holmes" Damon chuckled lightly
