The devil's Pov:

I'm sorting bills at my desk when I notice a tall, lanky figure. I look up from my desk. The sight before me is just so unrealistic I can't help but laugh.

One of the debtors, the flower, is dragging dice. I'm impressed that he could take him on but there's no way he did it on his own. The flower looks rather pissed off.

"Keep your Lackey on a leash or we're gonna have a problem." He says, as he walks out.

A leash hm? Not a bad idea...

Cagney's pov:

I exit the casino. I really don't like going in there. My anxiety chokes me like a snake. I usually like being choked but not like that! It's probably because of what happened back then.

I never really cared much about seeing other people smile. I never really cared about watching the children play. I never really cared about the weather unless it was for survival reasons. It's rather odd how those little insignificant things can make a huge difference.

I find myself in a locker. Orange light leaks in through the small spaces. It's very hot in here. I hear a roar and some cackling. Other than that, it's rather silent. I try looking through the spaces of the locker's door. I can't see through such a thick fog. It's just orange light anyway. My breath is heavy. This place is cramped. Luckily I'm small, small enough to have room. Unfortunately though...im rather weak. Someone didn't pay their debts to him. I wish I wasn't a coward who hid away. Everyone is probably gone by now. If I could've fought him maybe I could've saved everyone.

I hear a creak and that orange light covers me. A shadow grabs me. I want to cry and scream. No... I don't wanna be a coward! I hit him but it doesn't seem to harm him.

"Little flower, I'll give you an offer in exchange for your soul once you perish." He says

"You've hurt everyone, why would I do that?!" I ask

He sneers, is he amused?

"I don't mind getting another body in my count. But you have potential as the only survivor." He grips my neck. "I already know what you wish for, you want to be a beast that can kill monsters right? So deal or no deal?" He asks

"Deal!" I say

I don't think I've regretted a decision more than that one

I make my way towards the tracks and get lost in thought.

Am I too clingy to spec? Am I too protective? Am I doing this whole relationship thing wrong. I don't know...

I see the crew all talking and bandaged up. Spec is wrapping up his hand in a bandage. I rush over and he looks up at me.

"Oh hi! How'd it go?" He asks with a smile.

I ignore his question unintentionally. I grab his hand.

"Are you ok?" I look up at him

"It's just a bruise cagney, I'm fine, really!" He laughs a bit

"Oh my poor poor darling! You've been oh so critically injured. How will we ever get through this?" I say dramatically just to fuck with him

"Oh my! Why of course, you're right" To my suprise, he plays along. "Maybe I need a kiss to make it feel better?" He says seductively

I turn red "uh... Um... S-sure"

I lean down to kiss his hand when I'm grabbed by someone.

"Don't think you're off the hook yet flower boy!" A rough voice says with much authority

"T-T-Bone! What's going on? He hasn't done anything bad! Let him go!" Spec shouts.

T bone sets me down on the ground and sits across from me. Nervousness and anxiety drowns me. I'm shaky. I'm breathing hard. T-bone looks at me. I slowly look up.

"Tell me a riddle" he says

"Wh...What?" I say

"Tell me a riddle. If I can't figure it out then I'll back off ok? I'm just testing your intelligence is all" he explains

I think for a moment. A riddle?! Seriously? Despite the weird request, I find myself with the perfect answer.

"Every being has something. However everyone is split based on weather you use a lot of that something or not. What is the something?" I ask

He looks at me with a confused expression. He sits there thinking for a long long time.

His face lights up suddenly. "I got it!" He shouts "money!"

I shake my head. "Nope"

He gets up. "I'll figure it out eventually"

He smiles. "Congrats though. I haven't heard that one."

I get up. I'm suprised he didn't get it right away.

Spec gives me a curious look. "Sooo... Uh...he didn't get it? What'd you tell him?"

I repeat the riddle to spec and even he looks confused.

He looks at me "so what's the answer?"

"You'll have to figure it out!" I say with a smirk

He wraps his arms around me and looks at me

"You won't give it to me even I beg?" He says

I turn red. The way he just said that-! No.. No don't get flustered! He knows what he's doing. Spec looks at me and laughs.

"That's cheating..." I mumble

"No it's not! I just found your weakness!" He beams

"W...weakness?! What? No! I don't have such things" I stammer

"Cagney you're literally horny 24/7 the fuck you mean?" He says like it's nothing

"I'm not horny 24/7..." I say "it's...its only when you're around" my face is hot.

"Aww that's cute" he looks at me and notices my expression "WAIT! y-you're not joking are you?!"

I shake my head. We just stand there in awkward silence as our hot faces try to cool off.

The twins notice us and come over. "Hey we're about to get going soon it's getting dark."

I notice spec is still kinda flustered.

"Got it." I say.

We get onto the train. The back car is probably the quietest place on here. There's no guests around.

I hold him close. He's nice as cold. I feel so calm. He runs his fingers through my hair. I rub my head into his chest.

"Someone is affectionate" he says

I look up at him. My face is hot. Am I blushing? He laughs.

"Aww how cute!" He teases

I lay down with him. We cuddle. I find myself too comfortable to move. I'm tired from today. I find myself in and out of sleep.

"Babe it's ok. Nothing's going to happen. You should rest" he catches on to me trying to stay awake.

"Babe?" I ask with a giggle. "I like that"

I don't remember anything happening after that. I just fall asleep.
