Chapter six- The Spy.

"Steve." Johnathan says.

"Oh. Steve. We like Steve."

"Yes."

"But we don't love Steve."

"What? No, we... I mean, I do." Nancy says stammering.

"There it is, ladies and germs, the second lie of the evening. So how'd I do?" He asks.

Neither say anything.

"My goodness. You two are adorable, aren't you? Listen... there's a pull-out sofa in my study if you want it. But if I were you... I'd cut the bullshit and share the damn bed." He walks up the stairs and heads to his bed to sleep.

"Afraid." Nancy says, she was denying it.

Johnathan sits on the pull out.

"Trust issues?"

"Trust issues."

"Retreat. I don't retreat."

"Trust issues? I do not..."

Nancy walks out of the bedroom to see Johnathan on the other side of the room.

"Oh. Hey."

"Hey."

"I just uh... I just wanted to say that..."

"Oh no don't, I mean... He's so drunk."

"Wasted."

"Yeah. I mean, what? He knows us for a couple hours, and he's got us all figure out?"

"Exactly. God. Okay, yeah. I feel... I'm glad we feel the same way."

"Yeah. Yeah, it's fine."

Both stand there for a second awkwardly smiling at eachother.

"Uh... so, uh, goodnight, I guess."

"Yeah, um, good night."

Both walk away to each others rooms.

Nancy opens her door and walks in

She goes and sits on the bed.

He was right. Murray was right. Nancy did have feelings for Johnathan.

She throws the pillow to the side and walks towards the door.

She opens it to meet with Johnathan, they stare at each other for a second then Johnathan goes in and kisses her.

Nancy pulls away and then goes back to kiss him.

Lucas opens the door to see his sister playing with his dolls.

"I knew it."

"Hey! They're in love!"

"No, actually, they're not. They don't even exist in the same planet."

"Aren't you too old to be playing with toys?"

"That... that's not the point. The point is to stay out of my room."

"Then tell your little nerdy friend to shut his mouth."

"What are you taking about?" He asks his little sister.
