imani screamed as she made the wrong turn yet again. "i just can't get this right shan." she groaned. imani was spending time with her good friend shannon, well... her only friend.

"how are you and rhys?" the girls sat comfortably on shannon's couch, setting up netflix.
"we're doin good, i just don't wanna be in too deep before he fucks me over again. although, he does assure me and i believe him."
rhys had started to open up more to imani and they always spent their days together. even when she was busy with shoots or when he'd have to go to the studio. they always made sure they could fit each other in.
"i think you two will be fine together. the guy just didn't know what to do with the whole recall thing and then another girl." shannon reassured her best friend.
after watching an episode of bridgerton, imani left shannon's place and made her way to the studio, where rhys was at, since he had called her to meet with him.
"what you saying, you good?" rhys welcomed imani into a big hug before sitting back down on his chair, unlocking his phone.
"yeah i'm good, just came from shan's." imani responded before placing herself on rhys' knees.
the two spent some time catching up and scrolling through instagram before imani saw something that caught her eye.
"they won't stop talking about your post and people are starting to make a link of us being together." she pouted.
"it's not like we weren't expecting it marns." rhys shrugged.
"it's just that you've just come out of a public relationship. now your with me i don't want people to think i'm some slag." she frowned resting her head on the rappers shoulder.
"don't say that man. anyone that thinks that is an opp." he mumbled, reading over his lyrics.
"can we just remain private for the time being. like we're not even official yet." she whined. she knew she was starting to irritate him and she loved it.
"mani i beg you shut up." he wrapped his arms around her waist tighter making her shut up.
"listen to this yeah." he started play a bit of his new song he was working on.

imani smiled as she watched rhys bob his head to his own lyrics. it was refreshing to see him so happy doing music.

"nah but seriously, i love it. when are you releasing it?"
"dunno, have to send in the lyrics to get approved... again but i'm not trying to waste time. feds are still on my case so." he shrugged.
