As of right now, everyone's thinking about New Year's Resolutions. I'm not saying I'm going to succeed, but my only one for this year is to finish Somewhere Over a Grey Scaled Rainbow. This has been going on for six months now, and I've only just started working on chapter 2.

I mean, the entire point of my getting a Wattpad, if I haven't already preached enough to you guys, was to actually FINISH the stories that I started. And unlike the past two stories (Darkness Behind the Dawn and Wasting in the Rain), I hope to finish this one not because of the recurring plotline (DBTD) or because I've decided to move on to something more interesting (WITR). I hope that SOAGSR actually finishes as the beautiful piece of art I had originally envisioned, and I hope you guys see exactly why I was biting at the bit to even get it started.

In other words, I have set a goal of finishing SOAGSR by 2017, or at least pushing through most of it and finishing it before summer of 2017.

Thank you for the patience and still following me, despite the fact that there's been such little activity. You guys are great!

What's that? There's a chapter 1 to SOAGSR?

          IT'S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But seriously, my first college finals week begins next week, and I only have one actual test, and I don't have class tomorrow, and then there's the weekend and a full 3 days where I don't have class before I go home for break.

So I realized how bored I would probably be.

And now I'm writing this story that you all thought I forgot about.

And now I'm seriously pumped to have gotten chapter 1 taken care of. The rest should follow somewhat easily.

          Maybe.

          BUT MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Thanks for hanging around. You guys are great.

So.... Let's go back and do a bit of time-traveling.

Do you remember the AMAZING story about LGBT youth that I've been biting at the bit to start since the beginning of summer? The story that I told you to bring your friends to this page if they loved LGBT fiction? The one that was supposed to be my summer project?

If you answer is yes, join the club.

I did not forget about SOAGSR. That has been on my mind all summer, but I've been working two jobs and prepping for college and getting to college and doing sorority recruitment and not finding a chapter through sorority recruitment and adapting to college life in a new town and.....

I think you get the idea.

The point is, I did NOT forget about SOAGSR. I'm still working on it. Unfortunately, I am still only on chapter 1, but I'm still working on it. It has been on my mind. But I was sitting here and getting ready to do some work when I realized that you guys were waiting with baited breath for it.

Therefore, I am planning on working on SOAGSR when I am not studying. Believe me, that's a lot of time. I will definitely still be working on it. This is a project that I'm not planning on giving up on any time soon.

Thanks for the patience. You guys are great (all 7 of you)!

Quick post about the cover for Somewhere Over a Gray-Scaled Rainbow: I'm on my dad's older Mac laptop (had to give back the one I used for school since I'm GRADUATING FROM HIGH SCHOOL IN 2 DAYS (EEEEEPPPPPP!!!!!!)). It does not have an updated browser, and as I do not want to piss him off, I will not update it. Therefore, I will change the cover to SOAGSR as soon as
               a) I get a new computer, or
               b) as soon as my brother stops constantly virusing our family PC (I'm kinda scared to go on it. Some nasty virus thing. Ick.)
Anywho, sorry about the crappy cover. Can't do much. Gotta get back to writing chapter 1! Woot woot! Thanks for the patience!

Hello, lovelies!

Here we go again with the good news/bad news posts.

Bad news: I am wrapping up Wasting in the Rain earlier than anticipated, but for a good reason. For that reason, keep reading.

Good news: I am finally starting on the new LGBT teen story that I have been DREAMING about starting since I came upon an awesome piece of inspiration thanks to the Internet! This has been a bunch of planning in the making, and I will be taking most of your summer with this amazing story. It's going to be great.

The next chapter (Chapter 10) should be the last chapter for Wasting in the Rain before I begin the new story. I may come back to it and fiddle around, but I really am chomping at the bit to start the new story. If you know anyone who likes LGBT fiction, lead them to this page. I'm so excited about the new story. EEP!

          Thanks for following, everyone!

If you can't tell, my small hiatus from Wattpad is done!

I am done with school testing, and will be able to write freely until at least July. I am trying very hard to finish Wasting in the Rain, because my next project about LGBT youth is absolutely incredible and I really want to start on it. However, as promised before, I will finish my stories, because that was the whole point of my getting a Wattpad.

Thanks to @greatbritain1d for following my crazy page. I appreciate it!

Hello, my lovelies. More good news and more bad news. Following tradition, let's start with bad news first.

I have a lot of school testing throughout the month of May and will be studying my poor little butt off until those tests are all completed. Therefore, there may not be an update for Wasting in the Rain until at least the end of May. Then I have summer, in which I (may) be traveling to China for two weeks, and I know that they restrict Internet usage. I don't know if I'll be able to reach Wattpad while there, but then again, I'm trying to get passport stuff figured out so I may not go at all. I'm working the whole month of July, but I'll have time to write at night. Now you can relax.

Good news: thanks to the Internet, I found an awesome new inspiration for a story about LGBT youth. However, I promise that I will finish Wasting in the Rain before I start on the new story. The main reason I got a Wattpad in the first place was that people like you lovelies will pressure me to actually FINISH my stories, which hardly ever are finished. EVER.

There's the news bulletin of the day. Have a great day, my beautiful people, and thank you for following me and loving my stories.

          Yours,

          Heather

Dear my lovely followers (all five of you):

Good news and bad news. Let's start with the bad.

Unfortunately, the storylines for Darkness Behind the Dawn have dwindled to nothing. I really can't think of much else to write, because it's just going to be ten million different backstories but the same idea. I didn't want to bore you to death, so I'm going to finish the last chapter and post it. I thought it would go a lot further than it actually did, so I'm sorry.

Good news: I've been looking at a story that I began a long time ago but never really finished and didn't do a great job on in the first place. I plan on revamping it and reworking the storyline so I can post it. It's a pretty intriguing concept, so I'll try to get a prologue up within a few days so you can prepare yourselves for the awesomeness.

Thanks for following me and loving my stories. Again, I"m sorry about DBTD, but it just didn't work out. If you're interested in more, message me and I may post requests that you were hoping to read.

          Yours in Writing,

          Heather
