I don't know who watches Into the Badlands, but I have to rant about this. One of Minerva's iconic quotes is "I am fighting for a world where little girls don't get dragged into dark rooms and have their innocence torn from them." Her whole storyline is that she wants to free girls and women from being oppressed, yet she spends the first two seasons chasing after a child (M.K.), who is a boy, to use and exploit him for his unique powers. She even imprisons him and tortures throughout the entire of the second season. 
          
          Yet she gets a half-assed redemption arc through other characters and the boy she abused is framed as a villain (for some legitimate reasons), but his main beef is with Minerva, yet he is framed as being irrational for his anger toward her and she is framed as a hero when she kills him.
          
          I stopped watching Cobra Kai when they started glorifying villains and abusers. I thought that Into the Badlands was gonna be a cool Martial Arts show that didn't have all that crap, but I was so wrong.
          
          WHY ARE PEOPLE OBSESSED WITH GLORIFYING VILLAINS AND VILIFYING THEIR VICTIMS?
          
          Actually...that sounds so much like real life, to be honest.
          
          Sad.
