I’ve re-written and re-published chapters 21 and 22 of A Silence to Remember. Chapter 23 will be up by May 12th ( I hope!)
Now that Lost and Found is complete, I will put my efforts into finishing A Silence to Remember and Juniper Blue.

I've completed my ONC2024 entry. I'm not entirely happy with it and it was very rushed in the end, so I'm sure there are lots of mistakes even though I had it proof-read, etc. I got up at 4 a.m., spent most of the day in the hospital with my son and I've been sleeping like crap, so I did the best I could. Thank you everyone for reading and for all your support!

WP has changed so much in the last few years. It used to be so much fun talking to other people who liked the same stories. I was part of one really fun group of readers but then WP deleted the author’s account and it was such a shock. We supported each other and found out about other people’s life. I am annoyed that underage readers (I assume() spoil the fun of this platform. It is getting worse and worse
@tristen2500 it's very possible that people have been receiving dodgy messages, I get them all the time on Facebook messenger from random people, it isn't pleasant, I kind of get why they're doing it, and come to think of it on Inkitt, where I also have an account, you can't private message others, open comments on the platform are easiest to police.
@tristen2500 hmm yeah with the change of the age of consent, I wonder maybe something more serious happened via DMS that made them decide to take it down because i do think it’s something many use
Okay… so now I’ve reconsidered my stance. Thank you everyone for the interesting and thought-provoking content. Wattpad should change their wording. Instead, prohibit sexually explicit detail between people under 18 and not say the age of consent is 18 since they do say we can “allude” to sex. And then I think, too, that they would prohibit the book, Call Me by Your Name because Elio is 17 and Oliver is in his 20s, and that just infuriates me. I wonder if parents of minors threatened legal action against Wattpad and hence the change. They use “industry standards” as a rationale, but that’s just b.s.
@tristen2500 I gathered that yes, I went through my stories but all mine are 18+ so I think I'm good, only one mentions acts between teens but it doesn't give any detail
@CosmicTYK I really think Wattpad means they have prohibited sexually explicit content with characters under 18 since you can still allude to sex without detail.
I just want to let everyone know that Take Me to Church is back up and now abides by Wattpad's content guidelines.
I have to say that in a way I'm kind of glad Wattpad is cracking down on consent guidelines. When I was a Wattpad ambassador, I volunteered in content and some of the things I read were disturbing. I reported the stories, but they were not removed because they did not violate the guidelines at the time. I then stopped being an ambassador. There are a lot of young people on Wattpad, so I get it. Some stories should be removed.
@tristen2500 Ahhh, but that's the point. 16 is NOT the age of consent EVERYWHERE. In some states (and countries) it's 18+. It's 20 in South Korea, 21 in Bahrain, and 25 in most of the middle east.
@TNBelle82 I agree. I wish Wattpad used different wording, like make it okay for the age of consent to be 16 (because that is the law) but prohibit explicit sexual descriptions between people under 18 because that’s what they really mean. The more I think about it, the more frustrated I become with Wattpad and I’m reconsidering my stance, especially with what’s going on in the United States now. I feel like we’re back in the 1800s.
I just wanted to let everyone know that Elie's Aura and Madness (re-named Hidden Demons) are available on Amazon/kindle. They're edited and slightly different, but same premise and same characters. I think Elie's character is better defined.
It looks like I will have to remove some of my stories on Wattpad as Wattpad has changed the age of consent to 18.
@tristen2500 I'm not familiar with other sites nor am I sure what would be best for you however I have seen people say that Inkitt and Dream are good alternatives and although Archive of our own is mostly fanfiction there are original stories too
@TragedyEverAfter Yes. I think so. I just don't know which one or shich one is good. Age of consent in Massachusetts is 16.
