“I never wanted any of this!”

Elaine shouted. The massive form of Attor slithered around the Tower and one of his eyes’s pupils filled the entire window as it narrowed upon her. Most of the room was shattered to pieces besides the floor and walls, which were sealed by a protective magic from the Dragon.

“When I saw the Golden Strands,” she continued. “I didn’t know what it was, honest! I didn’t stop to question why it chose me or why I reached out and plucked its strings. All of my life, being fawned over by nobles, the King’s scheming 2nd Prince, and forced to gather strength all because of my Father— could you even begin to understand what I’ve gone through!?”

She shouted at Attor’s eye, launching a powerful beam of Light Magic at him. It wouldn’t harm him, even if it managed to pierce the protective barrier he put up. Elaine collapsed and sobbed.

“All I wanted with this power was to protect her,” Elaine cried. “Even if it was the Goddess’s will to get rid of the Witch, why should they punish her— my dear sister? That Witch is going to destroy all of the Bohuns and it’s all my fault I could not stop the Spiders! O Life, how unfair must this be?”

Finally after a long time, Attor spoke.

          	“You wish to protect Charlotte?”

“How do you know that name!?”

A green misty cloud began to sift through the windows and the translucent Spirit form of the Dragon’s massive head filled the room. Elaine scooted back away from him as he manifested before her, with terror filling her eyes. A shadow warped underneath his Jade silhouette. White hair emerged from its darkness. Her eyes widened and she heard two voices speak in unison. The Dragon’s and another girl’s voice! It was too familiar!

          	“That makes three of us.”

“Blanche!” Elaine’s back pressed up against the stony wall of the tower as the Spider Queen’s Spy approached her. “Y-You’re the Witch? What…? Why? Why are you planning all of this!”

“It’s been awhile, Sister of My Charlotte.”

Hahahaha! So you figured it out, haven’t you? Oh, don’t try to free yourself from the spider webs. I wouldn’t want you to harm yourself before the main attraction! Now, brass tacks, I know you humans really care for the dirty details, but the truth is…

I don’t really care if you know that no one in this town is human. Matter of fact is, that puts your Perception level far above most of the regulars that come by here. No, no, no no. I care that you are organizing. You’ll go back to your little Guild, your Kingdom, organize the soldiers, your little S rank adventurers and completely muck up the operations here. That’s what I care about. If any single one gets here and investigates, my Boss, well, she’ll throw a fit!

I know that you’re strung up and unable to give me a nice little answer— what with the webbed gag and all— that will help us reach an agreement, so I’ll slip this little scroll in your little bag here, okay? I eagerly hope you’ll accept, adventurer. I would really, truly regret you not being able to see your lovely little sister ever again.

Wattpad is taking away DMs which is weird! I admit I’ve been falling away from this site, but even the DMs were not that problematic? I wonder why they are doing that

Ajay-Kumar

@spacebb it's so so stupid, they just want more robot people to buy their paid books, rather than do people stuff like talking, ugh.

Assurium Glossaries

Entities from the Sky have been sighted observing the battles by scouts, mages, and even several officers for years now. These entities have not made official contact, but some soldiers have claimed that they have encountered them in certain circumstances and in specific conditions. These beings float high in the sky and do not engage with either side of the battles. Soldiers who have caught a glimpse of the creatures have reported being observed by it, but its overall appearance has been described as having many wings, floating golden rings and other geometric shapes that rotate in harmony, as well as multiple or singular unblinking eyeball-like organs. For what it's worth, the reports all have these specific conditions in common.

          1) The soldier in question is currently in a dying state, grievously wounded, or otherwise critical condition.

          2) The soldier is able to at least kneel, and no further violence is occurring on the battlefield.

          3) Upon kneeling, the soldier's eyes are to remain fixated on the ground and not make eye contact with the entity.

Soldiers who survived an encounter with an Assurium Glossary have reported receiving strange stones containing ritualistic symbols and runes etched in a circular pattern - a strange magic that disappears upon the soldier's touch. After getting the stone, the being will disappear in a veil of brilliant cyan light. Holding the stone has been said to cause the holder to see strange visions, such as "waves" or "strands" of raw magic shaping around the world around them. An additional side effect has caused several soldiers to report feelings of synesthesia - like hearing purple from someone's tone of voice or feeling hairs from touching a rock.

However, such reports are far and wide through battles and the existence of these entities cannot be confirmed.

DATAPOINT ENTRY REGISTERED IN ROSE TERMINAL

The Nameless is from an unknown species that have "fallen from the heavens." In a regular soldier’s terms the Nameless herself has identified as: Space elves. Her pointed ears, dangerous abilities despite being another pretty face has cemented her reputation amongst the Demon Army and Human armies as a walking calamity. When the Nameless approaches you, they say, give her whatever she wants.

Luckily for them, the Nameless seems to be focused on something entirely different. She does come with quirks, despite her overwhelming prowess in battle. She once spent three hours searching for her boots without a care in the world. She remembers the weather of a particular battle that took place two years, three months, and seventeen days ago. She is loaded with Tusks, she calls them, but they are no longer named Tusks anymore. They are simply gold coins now, but might as well serve as trinkets to her: She has not even once collected soldier's fees from any of the men in her unit. Trust me, you don’t want to be trained inside her unit. She is also kind of cute. Don't tell her I said that.

Still, those red eyes of hers are enough to petrify a man.

And her words cut deep. She has not chosen a name for herself, despite the rumors that Nameless normally choose one sooner than later. She has shot down every marriage proposal, every name suggestion, and even nicknames so far for years now. The Nameless is a terrifying being, another reminder that us soldiers should not have our necks out for too long unless we want to lose our heads.
