S Sudan

Stan Sudan was born and raised in the mountains, valleys and forested farmlands of northwestern Montana—which, he says, was about as blessed a childhood as any creature on Earth could ever have been fortunate to endure.  It was a time when one could scoop a handful of water from any stream, river, or standing lake and drink it without concern for any consequence.  Life was so pristine in that natural setting that there were no environmental concerns.  Lack of population, he remembers, had its benefits, as well as its challenges.  But in his memory, the positive always outweighed the difficulties, and he holds a vast reserve of childhood memories that he uses in his writing.  Since much of that natural wonder of nature has been lost to development in our modern society, Stan tries to bring some of those memories and experiences back to life in his writing, which, like many authors, is a secret outlet for biographical data—which includes many fantasies and fictional stories that followed him like a host of lost puppies into his later years.  In those days, Montana truly was a setting perched close to heaven.  Some said it was God's country—where one could walk for miles and never encounter another living Soul.  Unless, that is, it was to collect the Souls of countless flora and fauna that lived freely and abundantly in that natural setting.  When one needed it, neighbors would drop everything, and come for miles to lend a helping hand.  It is in the spirit of that sharing that he is enthused to enter the realm of independent publishing.  To him, it is like finally coming home.
