I think there's something of a motif of freedom in the topos of the sea, period -- not just breezes, but the open horizon and the sight of ships passing that could take you anyway. I have to admit I like the seaside better when it's rainy and deserted though.

I've been really scatterbrained lately -- a lot of stuff going on that's taking me in a lot of different directions; I just forgot I hadn't commented.

I do like pushing Thornton to extremes - happiness, too.
Scarborough sounds like a breezy paradise compared to the daily grind of Milton/Manchester. I'd love to go there someday!
