Sadie Carrieri aka Sarina Adamo Rostek

Romance Author, retired teacher from New Jersey, living in Florida with husband, a Shi Tzu, and new to the family, a Labradoodle. I like writing what I call vintage romance. My real name is Sarina Adamo Rostek, II am a Jersey girl. Graduated from Cliffside ark High School, College of St Elizabeth, and did graduate studies at Kean University. Taught most recently at Essex County Vocational High School District after working in the insurance business a number of years. 
     My pen  name, Sadie Carrieri, is a tribute to my paternal grandmother. As far as I know some people called her Sadie and Carrieri was her maiden name. I have a cousin who is called Sadie but says her name is really Sarina. My father called my grandmother, Sarina, but when we found her passport, many years after she died, her name was Rosarina. Names are complicated when you were an immigrant. Oh well. I personally love the sound of Sadie Carrieri.  So it is right for me. 
     Now, I suppose you want to know why I write. I have a very simple answer. I went to a writing class for fun and became obsessed. So here I am with a pen name and a book in progress.
