I love writing, reading, and playing Sims. Someday I want to become a book editor.
I was recently going through some old documents, and I discovered a mission statement that I wrote for myself in high school:
For the longest time I have wanted to be like S.E. Hinton, who wrote her first novel when she was in college. To me, that is serious commitment. I don't want anything to come in the way of my writing. I intend to be as passionate about it thirty years from now. My goal is to become a successful novelist, and I don't mean successful by way of bringing in the dough but by entertaining my readers and leaving them wanting to read more of my words. So far, I've really only written for myself. Now, I want to write for others.
I've realized that I've let other, unnecessary stuff get in the way of my writing and I want to change that.
